Full Time Position - $19.59/hr plus shift premium, progress to $20.75 after 300 hours of employment and to $23.05 after 600 hours of employment.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packer is responsible for:

  • Performing routine cleaning, inspecting and minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Performing all duties in a safe and efficient manner following company safety standards.
  • Load the correct amount of bags into the strapping machine
  • Ensure all finished Go-pac’s are good quality
  • Place roll-up bags on the bag ring and seal filled bags onto vacuum plunger
  • Ensure the packing are kept neat and orderly
  • Clean duct-work, plenum, and oven areas during scheduled Preventative Maintenance days (P.M. Days)
  • All other duties require for the position

Solutions Engineer

What’s the job?

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to be based out of Bristol, RI to work on projects that will focus on part design, process improvement and understanding of manufacturing tools, processes and materials selection as they pertain to the manufacturing of critical engineered components such as spring-energized seals, metal seals, lip seals and others.

The incumbent will be the primary resource for application testing (simulation and physical testing) associated with new product development and introduction, working in a laboratory environment. The preferred candidate will possess the knowledge, skill and ability to safely conduct testing utilizing scientific testing equipment including, but not limited to load and leakage testing, and the ability to perform numerical simulations and apply engineering principles to understand product performance, and work with customers to solve their application challenges.

  • Develop innovative sealing solutions tailored to specific applications, ensuring optimal performance. This includes but is not limited to design evaluation and optimization, product testing and validation.
  • Develop and perform investigations on sealing material behavior. This includes but is not limited to material testing, data processing and managing for advanced polymeric/metallic materials modeling.
  • Develop and perform investigations on sealing components behavior. This includes but is not limited to scope definition, testing planning and execution, simulation model construction, result processing and analyzing, and presenting findings in written and oral formats.
  • Work closely with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to address any issues that arise during the product development cycle.
  • Participate in technical exhibitions and meetings with customers to promote our product and service.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, on time, well documented to meet business and customer objectives.
  • Establish and shift priorities as needed to meet commitments and project deliverables.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor Science degree with 3+ years of experience or Master Science degree plus demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments in Material Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/ Aeronautics Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Experience in in a lab/R&D setting.
  • Hands on experience with testing, materials, manufacturing processes in an industrial or research setting (if MS, lab work included)
  • Experience with design/conduct test and numerical simulation to evaluate applications and measure material properties.

  • Experience with numerical simulations, particularly with FEM.
  • Experience using SolidWorks/CAD is preferred.

Warehouse Shipper

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for all warehouse stock keeping in the warehouse.

The incumbent must load, pull, crate, and stock material as required, working within groups or individually as required.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain safety standards within the policy guidelines in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Must keep warehouse areas neat and organized at all times.
  • Pull material from warehouse by using finished goods picking list accurately; reading description, color, part number and matching accordingly using the Warehouse management system.

Sr. Process Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Sr. Process Engineer will provide engineering support primarily to the wet-end of the manufacturing process, leading and aiding in the analysis and development of processes and procedures. This role will initially focus on the wet-end but may extend to provide engineering support throughout the plant.

As a senior leader within the team, this individual will be the process owner for the wet end, providing leadership to employees and ensuring that manufacturing meets established product specifications, quality standards, productivity objectives, lead times, and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process Improvement: Research and document quality improvements, cost-effective methods, and process and system improvements. Research, develop, and implement new technologies to continuously improve safety, quality, and efficiency of production. Provide data analysis and technical support to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement process adjustments and improvements. Address manufacturing quality concerns and implement long-term improvement solutions. Create and maintain work instructions.
  • Project Management: Investigate and implement special project assignments involving productivity and quality improvements throughout the plant. Drive continuous improvement utilizing world-class manufacturing methodologies. Lead or support WCM projects and/or project teams. Initiate corrective-action projects and lead problem-solving teams driven by customer complaints. Initiate, substantiate, manage, and implement capital investment projects.
  • Process Ownership – Wet End: Take ownership of the wet-end processes and provide leadership to equipment, KPIs, and employees. Provide leadership to employees by developing, promoting, and enforcing an uncompromising safety attitude. Lead and train personnel on processes, equipment, and procedures as required.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

EDUCATION

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as chemical or mechanical engineering is required

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing facility in an engineering or similar role is required
  • Experience in process ownership, supervision, and leadership is required
  • Effective project management skills are required
  • Experience in powder or batch processing is preferred

PRACTICE/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong process optimization and problem-solving skills are required
  • High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative working relationships, including written and oral communication, is required
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook is required
  • A good understanding of safety and environmental regulations is required

Quality Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU ?

The Quality Technician – will primarily provide product testing and inspection support to multiple facets of the manufacturing operation. This included but not limited to: Shipping & Receiving, Calibration, In-Process Inspections, Customer Required Over-Inspections, Final Inspections.

Part inspections will entail use of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) hardware and software. Proficient CMM use and programming skills are desirable for the position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform product testing and final inspection on completed manufacturing products using various testing and precision measuring equipment.
  • Program and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) (whenever required)
  • Assists in the preparation, completion, and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
  • Ensures manufactured parts conform with all customer requirements through the completion of detailed inspection plans/reports. Identifies and segregates all non-conforming parts found during product inspection through the completion of non-conforming material reports.
  • Assists with customer required “over-inspection” activities in conjunction with the shipping department and master schedule.
  • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.
  • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintains workspace before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Quality Engineer and Strategist.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School degree, GED or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience:

High School Diploma  required.

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining inventory and facilitating shipping needs for all products and materials to include issuing materials to manufacturing (kitting components) for orders to be completed prior to shipping; for our manufacturing facilities in Clearwater and Largo Florida for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences.

Essential Functions

  • Store materials using assigned protocols with correct equipment.
  • Perform inventory transactions in QAD system
  • Recommend measures to improve methods and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assess workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiate and support housekeeping and safety activities within the facility daily.
  • Communicate with the other shifts the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that potentially impact the product being shipped.
  • Coordinate department's activities with other departments.
  • Verify all forms and paperwork as needed, including manufacturing forms, work order documentation, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, identifications tag, QA forms via electronic document storage, etc.
  • Schedule trucks for delivery and pick up of product as required for on-time expediting.
  • Be proactive in assuring all shipments are shipped on time & resolving issues.
  • Load and/or unload trucks. Subject to driving company vehicle(s) as required.
  • Research and audit inventory by conducting daily cycle counts.
