Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining inventory and facilitating shipping needs for all products and materials to include issuing materials to manufacturing (kitting components) for orders to be completed prior to shipping; for our manufacturing facilities in Clearwater and Largo Florida for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences.

Essential Functions

  • Store materials using assigned protocols with correct equipment.
  • Perform inventory transactions in QAD system
  • Recommend measures to improve methods and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assess workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiate and support housekeeping and safety activities within the facility daily.
  • Communicate with the other shifts the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that potentially impact the product being shipped.
  • Coordinate department's activities with other departments.
  • Verify all forms and paperwork as needed, including manufacturing forms, work order documentation, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, identifications tag, QA forms via electronic document storage, etc.
  • Schedule trucks for delivery and pick up of product as required for on-time expediting.
  • Be proactive in assuring all shipments are shipped on time & resolving issues.
  • Load and/or unload trucks. Subject to driving company vehicle(s) as required.
  • Research and audit inventory by conducting daily cycle counts.

Production Planning & Control Manager

The position is responsible for management of the Supply Chain for BA at our Worcester campus. The primary focus of the role will be to manage, create and improve those processes associated with fulfilling customer orders on time. Those processes will include Receiving/Shipping, Warehousing, Inventory Control, S&OP, Production Planning, and Inventory Management. This critical role will drive the standardization of processes and training of direct and indirect team members; build a strong team; balance demand with capacities (using our S&OP process); help develop KPI’s & reporting in the operation to maximize on-time shipping while optimizing productivity; maintain strong inventory controls; create effective communication processes with Plant Manager, Product Management, Customer Service, Central Supply Chain and Sales. All these activities will be coordinated through our Sales and Operation Planning process to drive collaboration with the entire team and bring them into the planning cycle. This process will include all parties (including those closest to the customer) and drive accountability to the entire team.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering discipline is required, Masters in related field or MBA preferred • 7+ yrs supply chain experience / people management in materials/production scheduling, and warehousing, in a manufacturing environment is required • 2+ yrs Experience working in an ISO and regulated environment preferred • In-depth knowledge of computerized manufacturing systems (i.e. MRP) required • Inventory control expertise and forecasting background required • Good analytical problem solving skills required • Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems (i.e., Microsoft Office), and other computer hardware and software required • Able to develop global business strategies based on SBU/site requirements preferred • Able to coach, mentor, lead and train other colleagues across business units on supply chain processes and methodologies preferred • In-depth knowledge in manufacturing systems preferred • Demonstrated experience and comprehension of routinely applicable financial concepts: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cost Accounting, Cash Flow, Capital Management, and Budgeting preferred

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-driven Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on mechanical inspection experience, deep knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and proficiency with advanced measurement technologies such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Keyence optical systems. This senior-level role is essential to verifying that mechanical components and assemblies consistently meet rigorous design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Quality Inspector, you will lead and perform comprehensive inspections across materials, components, products, and related documentation within the Life Sciences operation. Your responsibilities include utilizing handheld precision instruments and sophisticated measurement/test equipment to validate quality. You will interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and sampling plans to ensure accurate and efficient inspection processes.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate (Required).
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Industry-recognized quality certification (e.g. ASQ CQI, CQT, CQE or equivalent.• Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.
  • Must meet requirements for SG Quality Stamp - ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices; knowledge of inspection techniques, ability to read & understand engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • 3+ years experience Manufacturing in metal, plastics, pharma, biopharma or medical devices, aerospace is preferred
  • 2+ years of Quality Inspection is required.
  • Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments.

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $57,200 to $77,792. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Take-Off Driver I

What is the job?

 

PAY RANGE: $22.58 - $30.54

 

The job objectives are to safely transport finished product and non-conforming product to multiple pre-determined locations in the plant. The primary way of transporting this material is using a sit-down forklift truck. The material is removed from equipment on a continuous production line after proper labelling and sorting has taken place. Tasks such as quality inspection of material and equipment inspection is to be completed frequently to ensure that the production line continues flowing during the process. Team communication along with safe work practices are essential and required to maintain steady process from start to finish.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

85%

• Operate a sit-down forklift moving wallboard into the select locations, moving pallets of raw materials, and equipment parts.

 

 

10%

• Maintain, monitor, and understand all equipment in the designated area (including Human Machine Interface (HMI) System) • Maintain manual data log sheets of finished product and product dry waste. • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for all related equipment. • Coordinate with the Production Team on all product changeovers. • Manage refeed area to ensure all boards are dispositioned correctly using a Forklift. • Manage and organize finished product end tapes using a Forklift. • Use Lock out Tag out (LOTO) and other safety procedures needed for the Takeoff. • Complete Level 1 Quality Inspection Tests on finished product which requires the operator to be on and off the forklift. • Perform AM / CIL Duties (Work Orders) on Area Equipment.

Shift Expeditor

The Shift Expeditor is responsible for providing leadership and flexibility on the shift for the support functions of Supply Chain, Quality, and the Mii/Factory Plus reconciliation process. The Shift Expeditor’s job function is to work safely and efficiently following all plant policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions, and ensuring all 6S standards are achieved. The Shift Expeditor is responsible for supporting group/plant objectives and the day-to-day proper processing of raw materials and finished goods through the production cycle to meet internal and external customer demands. This includes shift safety; modification to the shift schedule as needed, troubleshooting/coordinating all shift issues (with the understanding of when to escalate to functional leaders), picking, staging, cycle counting, and putting away raw materials, along with receiving and putting away finished goods (FGs). The Shift Expeditor will be a Mii/Factory Plus super-user and will be responsible for providing support, training, and reconciling discrepancies in production reporting and warehousing during the shift. As part of the plant's lean initiatives, is responsible for providing plant support in production or other functions as needed.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd (2:45pm - 11:00pm) Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

EHS and 6S

  • Demonstrates active preventive engagement in EHS through performing STOP Observations and safety/environmental reporting.
  • Participates in cross functional risk assessments and management of change hand-off on the floor.
  • Proficient in the 4orms system

Supply Chain, Quality, and Production

  • Facilitates and executes the timely and accurate delivery of materials to the production lines.
  • Inventory management
  • Picking and staging raw materials to and from the line
  • Printing of production orders & verifying the BOM is correct.
  • Weighing and labeling raw materials.
  • Proficient with the following functions in the WMS System: receive, moves, inquiries, picks, transfers, and using the WMS system to review transactions.
  • Responsible for maintaining a finished goods cycle count accuracy of at least 99.5%
  • Completes cycle counts of finished goods, raw materials, and stockroom.
  • Train to be the backup Quality Associate as needed. Trained to run X-rite, QC Calc, and Nitrogen Analyzer
  • Audits and ensures accuracy of Mii/Factory Plus throughout the shift.
  • Assist Production as needed
  • Livelink – basic user
  • Assist production in grinding when needed; must be able to operate the grinding cell and clean out color grinders.
  • Assists with the month end cycle counting for raw materials and stockroom.
  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently unload rail cars, bulk trucks, and assist with LTL, UPS, and equipment deliveries.
  • Assists in daily tie-outs with Shift Supervisor
  • Assist in the loading of finished goods, raw materials, recyclables, and regrind.
  • Draft training materials such as One Point Lessons (OPLs) and Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of the rail unloading system: check measurements, switch silos, clean out compartments.
  • Proactive in recommending and implementing solutions and corrective actions.

Position Summary:

Ensure that all mechanical and electrical devices remain at a fully functional capacity. Industrial experience in a continuous manufacturing facility is required with multi-craft ability in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Fabricator etc. Trouble shoot, maintain, and make all repairs necessary for the safe and efficient operations of a manufacturing facility. Know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of safe operating procedures, including housekeeping requirements. The day shift Multi Craft position will have a heavy emphasis on plant down day corrective repairs and preventative maintenance as well as fabrication, assembly, install, and improvement projects.

Primary Functions:

  • Maintains, repairs and modifies machines.
  • Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems (air lines, solenoids).
  • Inspects, maintains and repairs saws, dryers, mixers, plant systems, mills and conveyors
  • Replaces and repairs electrical equipment/components 110 & 240 volts 3 phase and low voltage motor controls.
  • Changes grinding or cutting blades and/or bits.
  • Fabricates and welds parts for repair, retrofits and modifications.
  • Reviews all required blueprints, drawings and work orders in order to install, troubleshoot and repair desired product, part or system
  • Checks, collects and organizes all parts and tools prior to starting job or assigned task
  • Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 yrs with industrial mechanic background or 2 or more years school/technical training and experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with fabrication highly preferred
  • Experience as an industrial Millwright highly preferred
  • Experience working with electrical motors, start/stop circuits, water and vacuum pumps, chain drive systems and lubrication applications.
  • Experience with working in plant planned down days and extended shut downs / outages preferred
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic control systems, troubleshooting using control logic schematics, measurement instrumentation, PLC’s, and O&M manuals a plus.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, draw materials and build projects from blueprints with limited supervision producing first time quality results.

  • Ability to do other general building support including minor electrical, plastic, and metal pipe fabrication.
  • Ability to perform tasks on plant equipment and systems with minimal supervision and a high level of reliability.
  • Knowledge of the safe and proper use of shop tools, metal stud framing, drywall, painting, floor repair, concrete repair.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work as a team and interface with other employees
  • Experience with the following mechanical systems: Hydraulics, ventilation/air intakes, acoustical insulation, engine installs, shafts and propellers, fuel systems, engine controls, wet exhaust, cooling, steering (power/manual), fire/bilge system, fire extinguisher system, gen-set installation, wipers, fresh water system, head and waste system, HVAC, mooring gear, labels and graphics, emergency equipment, electronic equipment
  • Must be able to figure, layout, cut and fit complex parts and shapes using blueprints, existing structures and template materials.
