La personne détentrice du poste d'Opérateur.trice de production est responsable d'exploiter, d'ajuster et de mettre en place des lignes de broyage assignées de manière autonome tout en respectant les exigences de production, de qualité et de sécurité. Ce poste contribue de manière significative à la production globale de Produits Métalliques Bailey Limited, avec une productivité attendue de 90% après formation.

Les responsabilités incluent: le chargement et l'installation des bobines d'acier, l'ajustement des bandes d'acier à travers les rouleaux, l'inspection de la qualité, le fonctionnement de la machine, le transfert des produits finis, l'utilisation de ponts roulants et de chariots élévateurs. Le rôle implique également l'identification des problèmes de qualité par échantillonnage planifié, la manipulation des produits finis, la préparation des boîtes pour l'emballage et la conformité aux règles de sécurité.

  • Charger les bobines d'acier et de papier sur des dérouleurs à l'aide d'une grue.
  • Ajuster/serrer le dérouleur et coupez les sangles sur le serpentin.
  • Guider l'acier dans les rouleaux à l'aide de commandes.
  • Activer la machine à l'aide du panneau de commande et éliminez les blocages.
  • Installer/ajuster les rouleaux et effectuer le contrôle de la qualité pour vérifier la conformité du produit.
  • Rassembler les produits, les attacher en paquets et procéder à leur identification.
  • Préparer les rapports de production et de sécurité pour le superviseur.
  • Effectuer tout autre travail assigné par le superviseur, le chef d'équipe ou le directeur d'usine.
  • S'assurer que les collègues travaillent en toute sécurité et signaler toutes les pratiques dangereuses.
  • Respecter les règles de santé et de sécurité, les pratiques de sécurité et les exigences établies par Bailey.

  • Directs the manufacturing activities of all products including machines, spare parts, buildings & grounds and repair activities to meet customer schedule commitments within quality and cost objectives.

We are seeking motivated candidates from Northeast Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in working across diverse and challenging manufacturing environments.

Upon graduation from the Sales Training program, the candidate will be responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with developing, expanding, and servicing welding, light industrial, construction, and distribution accounts in Northeast Ohio. The account base has significant competitive potential in many industries, including welding, metal fabrication, and general construction. This position will be responsible for selling abrasives, equipment, diamond blades, and sandpaper under the brand names Norton and Norton/Clipper.

The territory the candidate will move into after the Sales Training program has many opportunities, including metal fabrication accounts, distribution conversions, and the concrete construction market. Collaboration with our distributor partners, including Airgas, large buying group members, and construction distributors, must be a focus for success in this territory. This includes planning, joint sales calls, merchandising, and hands-on training. Territory accounts can be demanding and require strategic, focused planning and execution. This position also entails managing relationships with manufacturers’ representatives who assist in sales coverage.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands on, results oriented engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer I will be responsible for supporting the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes for new and existing products (resilient metallic seals).

Primary responsibility will be to provide close engineering support to the Production floor. This support will include utilizing sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, techniques and products to improve on product performance and to reduce costs, to maximize production, and support new knowledge. The incumbent manages and documents projects effectively under minimal supervision by a technical leader, demonstrates an open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility, and seeks out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the site team and operators to establish stable and repeatable manufacturing processes. Solve real time problems in processing with equipment and tooling. Implement workable solutions in both the short and long term so that failure modes are effectively understood and eliminated.
  • Support the development of internal drawings and process control documentation for all new processes including work instructions, inspection plans, and engineering prints.
  • Project Management – Project objectives are defined by the Manager, and involve the extension of present technology, improvement of products, processes and new knowledge with some level of complexity.
  • Use Solidworks software as required to design/modify and detail machining fixtures, tooling, and stampings tools. Ensure that the design meets customer print and specification requirements as required, and that the designs are optimized for safety, manufacturability, assembly, and production use.
  • Provide support to production and the tool room with tool/fixture designs, modifications, or assembly. Communicate the intent of the design or assembly to ease installation and use.
  • Regulatory documentation for validation, CAPA, and procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

The successful candidate should possess the following requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering or similar discipline is required.
  • 1+ years’ work experience in an engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical judgement / accomplishments.
  • Practical / Technical knowledge of Welding Engineering and Metal Work is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of project development and ownership.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles, theories and applications.
  • Analytical, logical, and data driven with demonstrated troubleshooting skills as it relates to production equipment.
  • Understanding of lean principles and ability to implement improved processes
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental best practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Solid Works / AutoCAD skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The Quality & Process Control Manager located in Ravenna, Ohio will be accountable to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented per requirements and to report areas of concern to Management. The Quality & Process Control Manager will be expected to ensure the plant remains in full compliance with regulatory and ISO requirements as they pertain to the plant, customer specifications, and corporate quality policies. -Oversee implementation and compliance of the site Quality Management System (QMS) with corporate policies, regulations, and industry standards.

-Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring timely resolution of issues.

-Oversee product/material testing and approve quality control (QC) results.

  • Team Leadership & People Management (40%)

-Lead and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering teams.

-Set daily priorities, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

-Build a strong, collaborative team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth.

-Directly manage 2 salaried and 6–10 hourly employees.

-Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to direct reports.

 Leadership Expectations

-Take ownership of the facility QMS and ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

-Inspire buy-in across the organization for quality standards and improvements.

-Act as a problem-solver and visionary, setting goals for the Quality Department and executing against milestones.

  •  Customer Quality (10%)

-Manage customer quality interactions, including audits, corrective actions, and quality agreements.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Operations or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience as part of a quality organization in a highly regulated industry (preferably aerospace).
  • 5+ years’ experience managing, growing, and developing direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards ISO9001 and/or AS9100 is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts
  • Strong project managements skills

  • Communicate with the Supervisor regarding low stock items, and document and report any damage or deficiencies immediately.

  • Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment, perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use, and report any unsafe work conditions that may arise.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US
