Reporting to the Alexandria Plant Manager, the EHS Coordinator is working on site and is the front-line point of contact for occupational risk management and environmental protection & conservation.

  • Perform inspections to ensure Environmental & Health and Safety systems and processes are being maintained and in compliance with regulatory legislative requirements and Saint-Gobain standards.
  • Work collaboratively with operations and production personnel to proactively address and control health and safety risks including environmental impacts.
  • Participate and support risk assessments and act as safety point-of-contact during standard operation, shut-downs, installations, and other non-routine activities.
  • Ensure all compliance training requirements are up-to-date and completed in a timely fashion ie. Confined Space Entry, Fall Control, Lift Truck Operation, Lockout-Tagout, First Aid and CPR etc.
  • Conduct and complete workplace EHS investigations and accident/injury reporting in a timely fashion.
  • Manage WCB claims, accommodations and return to work plans in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Manage and maintain all EHS information, documentation and records using the suite of digital solutions.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Post-Secondary education in the field of Applied Sciences and OHS or Environmental engineering
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and facilitate group presentations as required.
  • Excellent Ability to collect information from employees and to relay relevant facts through incident investigations and risk reduction actions.

  • Experience working in ISO

The Mill/Braid Operator is responsible for safely operating both the mill and braiding machines. The Mill/Braid Operator will use the mill machine to compound silicone raw silicone to provide to the Extrusion Operators. The Operator must mill batches, up to 40 lbs., using the two-roll mill, to mix material per the routing notes, SOPs, MOPs, or batch records. Operator must also visually inspect product to ensure parts are clean and free of any dirt, hair, or particulate before supplying to the Extrusion department.

 

The Mill/Braid Operator will also be responsible for braiding reinforced silicone tubing using the braiding machine. This Operator must also record in-process inspections and verifications using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Proficient at the operation, OJT & trouble-shooting processes/equipment in the mill/braid department. Operator is expected to safely produce the highest quality products in the silicone industry, following the standards of operation as set forth by SGPPL, Beaverton.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $70,000 to $105,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.   

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 45% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $101,500 to $152,200. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

What’s the job?

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing a high level of ownership, direction, and guidance to warehouse employees. This position will oversee three warehouses, which include shipping, receiving, material handling, and kitting teams to ensure accurate planning, execution, and monitoring of the daily operations in the respective department(s).   • Assist direct reports in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Provide back-up support and ensure coverage in high demand periods as applicable.
  • Communicate with the other shifts, as required, the status of inventory flow, schedule adherence, equipment issues and any other matters that might have an impact on the job.
  • Talent recruitment, resource management and development of direct reports.
  • Ensure direct reports have completed all required training including OJT and SOP readings.
  • Fully utilize and interface with the local IT systems to ensure complete data input and output on a daily basis and identify and resolve any variance issues.
  • Model and implement 5S behaviors and work habits in daily standard of work.
  • Observe and support all safety rules and regulations as defined by site and corporate EHS policies.
  • Investigate and report any incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management.
  • Correctly fill out all time keeping software/reporting forms and other related paperwork including manufacturing forms, work order documentation, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, identification tags, approving ECOs, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as directed or required.

The Manager, Time & Attendance and Payroll Technology is responsible for managing all technological aspects of the time & attendance (T&A) application and payroll reporting to support all U.S. and Canadian businesses.  The incumbent collaborates directly with all levels of the organization in HRIS, IT, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Plant Personnel, Procurement and Third Party Vendors.

The Manager, Time & Attendance and Payroll Technology is the subject matter expert on the design and implementing policy and controls for data integrity, data security, and compliance standards - including audit processes.  The incumbent is responsible for managing the end-to-end functional process flow of payroll reporting from the generation of the labor distribution through the preparation of the accounting interfaces files that are used by shared services for posting the payroll accounting data.  Also, responsible for ensuring systematic controls are in place to support the accurate and timely processing of all payroll interface files (Payroll, Benefits, Union dues deductions for 50+ unions etc.), payroll general ledger interfaces, and payroll billings to the businesses. 

This position also manages individuals who research, evaluate, and recommend process improvements around tools/processes utilizing technology.  Manage the day-to-day functions and projects of the payroll technology support team.  The incumbent is responsible for training, leading, and developing his/her staff by establishing team and individual goals.

  • Lead the overall functionality of the corporate T&A application.
  • Lead and manage initial set up, controls and ongoing maintenance of T&A application, including: pay and work rules; work schedules; accruals; assignment of licenses and badges; loading employee paid time off balances; security access; hardware orders (clocks) and connectivity; and interfaces between the time and attendance, payroll and accounting systems.
  • Responsible for monitoring the corporate T&A costs in compliance with the contractual agreement between Saint-Gobain and the vendor for the following items: annual software support; hardware maintenance, equipment (clocks); licensing (manager, timekeeper, web, accruals, and attendance); enhancement modules (Advanced Scheduler, Data Hub, Analytics), and upgrades.
  • Evaluate and strategically review Business Unit activity and proactively seeks quotes for enhancements and upgrades to achieve optimal system performance, products and services by the vendor. Reviews services offered and pricing with third party vendors analyzing business unit trends and customer requests. Lead system integration testing that requires T&A data in support of program enhancements, system releases, upgrades and disaster recovery testing in the payroll system.
  • Manage the review of Business Unit requests and inquiries; works closely with team lead to analyze team approach to responses and actions ensuring time to resolution is in compliance with customer service commitments.
  • Manage, develop, and provide guidance to a staff of 7 salary employees. Oversee staff workload and monitors team performance adhering to the service level commitments (productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness). Responsible for their annual reviews for merit/bonus along with assigning team and individual goals while working with them on their personal development objectives.
  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end functional process flow of payroll reporting from the generation of the labor distribution through the preparation of the accounting interfaces files that are used by shared services for posting the payroll accounting data. Also, responsible for managing all systematic controls are in place to support the accurate and timely processing of all payroll interface files (Payroll, Benefits, Union dues deductions for 65+ unions etc.), payroll general ledger interfaces, and payroll billings to the various businesses.
  • Ensure payroll system configuration is in compliance with Federal, State, Provincial governmental regulations and union contract language relevant to payroll practices, paid-time-off business policies, overtime, shifts, meal breaks, etc. across U.S. and Canada.
  • Manage the reconciliation of union dues deductions generated from the payroll system prior to the transmission to the Payroll Accounting Shared Service (PASS) general ledger system and the payment process.
  • Key stakeholder in the Time & Attendance Governance Committee. Responsible for participating in quarterly Time & Attendance Governance meetings by preparing and presenting project updates, implementing recommendations, presenting items for discussion and decisions and recording meeting minutes for distribution.
  • Manage all UKG Time & Attendance tickets and data for metrics and KPI reporting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in the required field
  • 10+ years of experience in an automated timekeeping system
  • 10+ years of comprehensive payroll experience
  • 5+ years in managing direct reports and managing in a virtual organization
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UKG Pro WFM System
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and wage and hourly laws
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Workday Payroll preferred

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for creating a culture of engagement within and between the plant teams to directly impact and consistently meet plant objectives and deliverables. This position is also accountable for ensuring that production teams work collaboratively in the decision-making processes and that the decisions are in alignment with plant goals and objectives, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI), safety requirements and current Human Resources (HR) guidelines. Finally, the Production Supervisor is responsible for all activities at the site and acts as the primary point of contact in off-hours and on weekends in the absence of plant management.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Shift performance reporting as required
  • Communicating with other Production Supervisors to at shift changeovers.
  • Accurate and timely recording of production data through GXO and SAP.
  • Coaches and mentor operators by influencing behaviors to meet assigned objectives to improve plant performance.
  • Manages the performance operators to achieve targets across EHS, Quality, Production and WCM Progress.
  • Coordinates production operators’ participation in WCM / Lean projects as part of daily work expectations. Leads AM projects and Kaizen events.
  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
  • Through coordination with other departments, leads production of drywall in a manner such that shipments meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure product is to specification and meets identified quality standards.
