  • Effectuer des revues et analyses financières mensuelles.
  • Collaboration et gestion du changement vis-à-vis l’implantation d’un nouveau système ERP.
  • Améliorer continuellement les fonctions de comptabilité de gestion de l'entreprise pour aider les services opérationnels à accroître la rentabilité.
  • Gérer efficacement les fonctions de comptabilité financière et fiscale, y compris :
    • Assurer la production des états financiers mensuels, des rapports de l'entreprise et des documents nécessaires pour la direction.
    • Participer activement au dossier d'audit de fin d'année de l'entreprise.

Research Engineer II - Adfors

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The ADFORS division of Saint-Gobain Research North America is seeking a Research Engineer II to join their collaborative team.

The Research Engineer II will lead new product projects for the Business Unit (BU) with a focus on chemical formulation and textiles technology, using Stage Gate methodology. The key feature technologies of this role will include polymers, PVC plastisol, textiles, sustainable materials. The new hire will collaborate and interface with Competence Research Groups and local R&D teams within the business units.

Essential Functions

  • Lead Major Projects: Carry projects from conception to successful completion with guidance from your supervisor. You'll have the autonomy to execute technical approaches independently.
  • Innovate and Develop: Work on extending current or new technologies in various areas, focusing on improving and developing products, processes, techniques, and fundamental knowledge.
  • Prototype Fabrication: Create product prototypes and characterize samples using analytical techniques
  • Deliver Results: Provide high-quality results. Present data and findings in both oral and written forms.
  • Project Management: Manage and document projects effectively with minimal supervision. Generate project timelines/plans, technical memos, research reports, and presentations for internal customers, project teams, and management.
  • Support Marketing and Manufacturing: Participate in pilot and production trials, and travel to manufacturing sites or customers for support when needed. Proactively seek out information needed for successful trials and deliver results as requested.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Engage closely with the process development team within R&D and other members from across ADFORS, including R&D, marketing, and operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience or entry-level MS degree with Thesis in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Plastic Engineering, Textile Engineering or related disciplines.

  • Hands-on experience with polymer formulation, processing, and characterization.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques for characterizing polymer samples.
  • 3+ years of experience in polymer formulations/engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with formulation DOEs and high throughput screening of polymer formulations and compounds.
  • Ability to manage and document projects effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Skill in generating project timelines/plans, technical memos, research reports, and presentations.
  • Capability to proactively seek out information needed for successful trials.
  • Industrial R&D experience preferred.
  • Experience with PVC preferred.
  • Competency in textile and/or composite materials preferred.

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Shipping/Receiving Attendant will be responsible for all aspects of the parts room and shipping operations. The role reports to the site Inventory Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Physically receive vendor shipments of all products, materials, and supplies, verify the accuracy of received goods, and confirm the correct quantity.
  • Store received goods in their designated locations.
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
  • Pull materials for production orders, note and communicate shortages, confirm orders in SAP, and backfill shortages as materials become available, ensuring delivery to the appropriate assembly station.
  • Keep shortage report for kits/items pulled for production or assembly and shortage report for all low stock items.
  • Crating machinery for LTL loads.
  • Requests for lumber and shipping supplies, to include boxes, bubble wrap and lumber etc., as needed to complete daily tasks.
  • Process customer orders, to include packaging and printing shipping labels and ensure order accuracy.
  • Process international orders with proper customs documents.
  • Keep aisles clear and free of materials stored on the floor.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
  • Complete other assigned tasks.
  • Shipping back-up.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • High School Diploma or GED- Preferred

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

  • Answer line calls to troubleshoot any mechanical process or extrusion problem
  • Build, repair, or modify all Plant equipment, including extrusion and blending equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance for production, blending, air compression systems, chillers, closed-loop water system, and the plant lift trucks
  • Test water in closed-loop system for pH factors, environmental concerns, and add chemicals as needed
  • Contact vendors and arrange for outside maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Use BPICS to locate store parts, follow all inventory removal procedures

  • Complete assigned projects and tasks as required by management

  • Meet the needs of internal customers by performing quality repairs in a timely fashion, ensuring finished goods continue to reach external customers
  • Identify all potential problems to the equipment, the building, and the grounds

  • The position may be required to travel infrequently to troubleshoot other manufacturing facility issues
  • This position requires that the position be able to move heavy objects safely, not to exceed 100 pounds, without requiring assistance such as a dolly, forklift, or team member assistance

Heavy Equipment Operator

The Active Storage shift operator will be responsible for feeding raw materials (DSG, Natural Rock, Reclaim, etc) into feeders from stock piles of material. This individual will report directly to the Active Storage and Mill Supervisor.

The Active Storage Operator will be responsible for: operating the front-end loader, forklift, dump truck, bulldozer, water truck, and other mobile equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Self-motivating, and be able to work with minimal supervision, troubleshoot and independently fix a wide range of process and equipment issues while maintaining housekeeping during the shift.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • 5 plus years of Heavy Equipment experience (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • Valid Drivers License (Preferred)
  • Ability to work Rotating 12- hour Rotating Swing Shift, days, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in a team based setting.
  • Manufacturing experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with a vast knowledge of formulas and mathematics
  • Proficient PC skills (desired)
  • Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance and work shifts as scheduled
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Participer aux audits internes et externes, notamment en fournissant la documentation et le soutien nécessaires.

Budgétisation et prévision :

  • Contribuer à la préparation des prévisions financières et des budgets annuels.
  • Faire le suivi du rendement budgétaire et fournir des analyses des écarts.

Entretien du grand livre général :

  • Veiller au maintien et aux rapprochements des comptes du grand livre général, notamment de leur précision et de leur exhaustivité.
  • Préparer et publier les entrées de journal, en fonction des besoins.

Analyse financière :

  • Soutenir le contrôleur financier principal dans le cadre des analyses financières afin de contribuer à la planification stratégique et à la prise de décisions.

Environmental Cleaner - Manufacturing - Life Sciences - PART TIME

IMPACT OF THE ROLE:

The Environmental Cleaner will support and optimize facility, manufacturing and white room cleanliness. This role will perform and document routine inspection/cleaning tasks and maintenance activities while complying with all EHS and Quality standards. In addition, this role will appropriate supply inventory levels.

Provides support to operations in Poestenkill, NY within the defined continuous improvement framework, in a manner consistent with Saint-Gobain EHS & Quality Policies and Principles of Conduct and Action.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Maintain safe, clean environment throughout the entire facility and grounds. Including, but not limited to Restrooms, Locker Rooms, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms WCM Room, Lobbies & Hallways, Supply Rooms Production Areas & Offices as directed.
  • Clean and disinfect flat surfaces, floors, walls, counters, sinks, toilets, equipment, tables, storage cabinets, chairs.
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum all floors.
  • Empty and dispose of trash, recycling & cleaning media as per site policies.
  • Cleaning of White Room as per Quality requirements.
  • Maintenance of cleaning supply & equipment inventory. Store safely and neatly.
  • Prepare cleaning agents, in a safe manner and ensure proper disposal.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including HazMat and identify any potential safety issues.
 

Part Time - 20 Hours per Week

Pay: $18.00/hr. to start

Each year, based on individual/business performance, employees have the potential to receive annual bonus in March and merit increase in April.

Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will be a member of the plant Human Resources team for the Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics and Refractories Falconer Facility, engaging in all human resources functions: front facing employee service, recruitment, benefits, payroll, training, and labor and employee relations. The HR Generalist reports to the HR Business Partner for SEFPRO North America, and participates as a member of the larger SEFPRO and Ceramics HR team.

The HR Generalist will be a primary contributor in moving towards, and maintaining, world-class stature in employee engagement and human resource processes within the plant. This effort includes organizational assessment and diagnosis, development and training, employee involvement, team development, and group facilitation.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures compliance for traceability of required training.
  • Facilitates a variety of developmental and compliance training.
  • Manages the personnel files and database, along with the HR side of the payroll process.
  • Acts as a champion for employee engagement and plans related activities.

Human Resources and Employee Relations:

  • Conducts round tables and other engagement activities to keep pulse on employee relations
  • Participates in end to end recruiting process from, sourcing, staffing and selection processes (including internal job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews and selection decisions) through onboard and new hire training completion. Partners with local temporary staffing firms and colleges and universities to staff for peak production seasons, internships, co-ops etc.

Warehouse Shipper

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for all warehouse stock keeping in the warehouse.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The incumbent must load, pull, crate and stock material as required, working within groups or individually as required.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain safety standards within the policy guidelines in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Must keep warehouse areas neat and organized at all times.
  • Pull material from warehouse by using finished goods picking list accurately; reading description, color, part number and matching accordingly using the Warehouse management system.
  • Load material from staging onto trailers in a safe and organized manner. Must able to safely load product, secure product for transport without causing damage using proper placement of material, straps and airbags.
  • Operate forklift within the policy guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work shifts or scheduled overtime as required.
  • Rotate responsibilities within the plant or department regularly to maintain or learn new skills in all responsibilities of the job for further development.
  • Responsible for filling out Daily Forklift/Sweeper checklist using our equipment management system or a paper checklist (if applicable) before operating a forklift/sweeper.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete the Daily Forklift Checklist before operating a forklift.
  • Work within a group or individually as assigned when given a task by supervisor or group leader.
  • Must complete training to use our warehouse management system required to process orders effectively, and maintain inventory accuracies.
  • Complete any additional assignments as required by management based on business needs.
  • Shipper I must be able to demonstrate basic responsibilities of Shipper including (1) Working knowledge of warehouse layout and pulling functions, (2) Demonstrate the ability to perform pulling & loading functions without errors (3) Complete 3 months service before moving to Shipper II.
  • Shipper II must demonstrate (1) The ability to operate lift truck, (2) Lead/Drive for a three man picking team, (3) Use Warehouse management system required for Picking, Transfers and Moves, (4) Complete 6 months service before moving to Shipper III.
  • Shipper III must demonstrate (1) The ability to train Shipper I and Shipper II or Contingent workers, (2) Use warehouse management system to Pick, Transfer or Move product (3) Process RMA’s, WDS’s, NMF’s and all associated paperwork in warehouse management system correctly.
  • Must complete all required safety training and responsibilities such as Coastal , Stop, and TF reporting any other assigned task(s)
