WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

A reliable Material Handler to oversee and maintain warehouse stock, along with staging products based on the needs of the production floor. Assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory, while effectively moving inventory and production supplies safely throughout the warehouse. Also ensuring safe and timely delivery of material by utilizing the highest OSHA safety standards.

Shift: Mon–Fri, 6am-2:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Works closely with Fabrication Supervisor to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis
  • Works closely with Fabrication and Logistics Supervisor to ensure material locations and movements are coordinated.
  • Performs material consumption inputs into SAP for department production orders and closes all department production orders after completing a final review for accuracy.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock
  • Keep and record accurate locations of inventory, for inventory accuracy
  • Move and disposes of scrap material properly while following warehouse safety regulations
  • Accountable for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personnel protective equipment
  • Maintain assigned lines in a clean an orderly condition, following all safety policies and procedures including CertainTeed practices to meet company standards
  • Keeps the flow of the process moving in a steady pace
  • Ensures production floor is safe by inspecting and correcting any unsafe conditions
  • Issue material on production orders
  • Verify material has been issued out on production orders and close out production orders to receive finish parts into stock
  • Move material from staging area’s into stock locations
  • Perform cycle counting when necessary.
  • Maintain an assigned area of the plant
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • One to three years of experience in manufacturing / production of warehouse / distribution
  • Must be flexible and the ability to adopt to changes in the work place
  • Disposes of used oils, and recycle used cardboard
  • Forklift operator certificate
  • Capable of reading and reviewing pick slips and production orders

PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiar with safety standards for manufacturing environment, including OSHA regulations
  • Familiar with SAP
  • License and certification to operate heavy machinery, such as Forklift

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting and stacking cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Walking on concrete floor, standing for long periods of time, sitting while operating forklift, and the input of data

Maintenance Electrical Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the operations of Athens Maintenance Electrical Technicians and Apprentices. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and technical support to the maintenance department covering installations, maintenance, and repairs of all electrical systems. They will ensure safety standards and compliance codes are met, and oversee the training and scheduling of the Electrical Technicians.

The Electrical Supervisor will have past experience in the field of electronics and possess a wide technical knowledge. In this role, the Supervisor will:

 

  • Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding OSHA requirements, and other safety standards.
  • Will actively engage and support electrical technicians to build: solid teamwork ethics, improve morale, knowledge and skills of all assigned technicians.
  • Direct and support the Maintenance Electrical Technicians and all other Maintenance employees when their direct supervisor or management resources are not present.
  • Oversees the performance of all tasks necessary to troubleshoot, test, calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify or install electrical equipment components buildings and/or land improvements, including; laying out, setting up or assembling work for Direct Reports.
  • Support team and oversee inspections related to equipment damage or defect, diagnosing the corrective action necessary to rectify the malfunction, failure or damage (troubleshooting).
  • Observes the operation of maintenance or production equipment in the course of performing the aforementioned tasks to obtain maximum manufacturing efficiency with minimum downtime for maintenance or repair.

  • Qualified electrician with five years’ or more experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment (continuous manufacturing preferred)
  • Associates Degree or 7 years’ of equivalent experience in the electrical or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a direct supervisor is required. Working in a union environment is preferred.
  • Computer systems proficiency in Microsoft applications (Office, Excel, Word, etc).
  • SAP and Kronos system experience is strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed with a strong work ethic and mature decision making abilities requiring minimal supervision or instruction.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), professional and interpersonal competencies essential to build and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated time-management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills, working effectively with individuals in various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve safety and productivity goals.

Job Goals:

A lead position performing material handling, picking, packing, shipping/receiving and Service Center duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides work instructions and guidance to staff.
  • Assumes duties of Shipping Clerk in absence as needed, this includes domestic and international shipment paperwork and scheduling with carriers.
  • Assumes duties of Receiving Clerk in absence as needed, this includes receiving all inventory items, maintaining receiving paperwork and directing incoming traffic.
  • Responds to Customer Service regarding Warehouse and Service Center issues.
  • Follows established department policies, procedures, continues quality improvement objectives, warehouse safety procedures and industrial truck safety guidelines.
  • Assists in training, coaching & recertifying of qualified operators on Power Industrial Trucks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Quality Control Technician - 2nd Shift

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the performance of Quality Control testing, accurate data recording, and documenting compliance to specification of the Hoosick Falls product base.   • Prepare Certification of Conformance using AutoCert system

Field Service Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

***While this position is remote, candidates must live in the Odessa, Texas area***

With safety as the top priority, the Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Performs troubleshooting services to aid customers in resolving issues and help achieve maximum potential from our solutions. Will be the primary representative at the concrete manufacturing plant. Will install and maintain admixture dispensing systems for each Ready-Mix producer.

The FST will be required to interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operator and personnel. Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time as the only GCP/Chryso employee at the customer sites, thereby requiring candidate to work independently. Schedule flexibility is required. Field visits may be scheduled late at night and/or very early in the morning.

Installation, Maintenance and Repair

  • Technical work pertaining to admixture dispensing equipment includes, but is not limited to installation, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, and emergency and service repair
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other employees as needed always serving as the local liaison and first line of contact to the customer.

Customer Relations:

  • Assist Field Sales Representatives in winning and maintenance of customer contracts by building and maintaining professional relationships with customers by performing regular site visits not necessarily relative to equipment needs or outages.
  • Regular site visits to check on admixture levels and customer needs.
  • Must have sound judgment, excellent communication &time management skills, & the ability to represent the company with customers in a professional manner.

Equipment Service Administration:

Other Duties:

  • Complete all safety training & Observe all safety procedures, both of Saint-Gobain & those of host companies.
  • Develop a solid understanding of concrete/concrete industry, most importantly the operations of a concrete plant.
  • Recommend modifications and product changes to improve reliability of equipment
