PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The Production employee is responsible for producing a quality product for our customers that supports our slogan of quality made “Certain” satisfaction guaran “Teed”. Adherence to all company safety policies and precautions while performing production tasks and at all times when on the premises.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Utilize proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to manually move bundles of product and clear jams using proper techniques to avoid injury.
  • Operate shingle-producing equipment for efficient operation.
  • Utilize computer and manual controls to make adjustments to the process.
  • Clear equipment jams efficiently.
  • Understand how to safely clear jams utilizing controls and manual methods.
  • Operate product testing equipment.
  • Utilize current testing methods and equipment to verify the quality of the product being produced.
  • Perform operational and pre-shift start tasks/checks daily.
  • Assist with start-up and backend
  • Perform fire response responsibilities.
  • Follow all safety precautions while performing tasks at all times.
  • All areas are to be clean and clear of any debris before/after each shift, maintenance days, and holidays.
  • Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage.
  • Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA’s

What’s the job?

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the long-term reliability of plant processes through technical support, engineering activities/projects designed to ensure equipment/processes/workflows are operating safely and efficiently and are maximized for optimal output.

In addition, this position will serve as Quality Champion to ensure site and employees comply with all Customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and routings for accurate costing and scheduling.
  • Manage quote requests and provides accurate costs to Project Management/Customer Solutions team.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and work instructions.
  • Design/develop and/or revise process systems and work area layouts in a safe, cost-effective manner.
  • Supports maintenance/production personnel in resolving process and product variation, equipment failure/variation using problem solving/corrective action techniques.
  • Collects, interprets, extrapolates date from production process to monitor current equipment performance against established baselines and applies appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist in New Product Development as needed.
  • Travel 0-10% for training or interface with sister plants for shared projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in EHS or related field.

Human Resources Manager - Manufacturing, Mobility; Sekurit

The HR Manager holds a pivotal role in providing strategic counseling and guidance to the Leadership Team on all aspects of Human Resources programs. This position is responsible for the establishment, implementation, and administration of comprehensive HR initiatives across a manufacturing and warehouse facility that operates 3 shifts, 7 days/week, as well as a remote sales and quality team located throughout the U.S.

The HR Manager performs duties at the managerial level in some or all of the following functional areas including, but not limited to employee relations, benefits, recruiting, Human Resource Information Systems, compensation, training, recruiting, employee retention and compliance with all applicable laws. A primary focus is on fostering a collaborative and fair work environment while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

In addition, the HR Manager will work to implement strategic HR initiatives in partnership with the Sekurit Management Team and HR programs launched by the Central Service function of North America and Saint Gobain Sekurit NAFTA team.

This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The incumbent must be sensitive to employee goodwill and the business needs. The HR Manager must promote a safe working environment, comply with proper use of PPE, report incidents, and participate in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

The position will play an integral role with the Sekurit Management Team in ensuring compliance to all applicable laws and regulations, identifying pertinent synergies, merging relevant policies and practices within the site, and helping to achieve business goals and objectives.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Education:

Bachelor's Degree - business, human resources, or related field; Required.

Master's Degree; Preferred.

 

Experience:

7+ years of human resources experience within the state of California; Required.

3+ years of relevant HR experience within a manufacturing environment; Required.

 

Technical Knowledge:

Strong analytical skills, strong problem solving skills, strong training capability and competency in MS office suite; Required.

HRIS experience; Required.

Strong knowledge of California Wage & Hour law and other California-specific employment laws, as well as Federal and other Employment Laws and regulations, and the ability to apply such knowledge and ensure compliance; Required.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540 Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Treasury Analyst I

The Saint-Gobain Treasury team is a centralized corporate Cash Management service provider for operations in North America.  We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual that is comfortable in a fast paced environment, to support critical responsibilities in our department.  Creating opportunities and guidance for our staff is a high priority and we encourage the participation in learning experiences provided by the Treasury industry.

  • Execute all 3rd Party, Intercompany, and Intracompany Electronic Transfers in North America
  • Manage the User Access and Entitlement process for all systems supported by the Treasury
  • Maintain the department’s Electronic Bank Account Management (EBAM) system which will contain a centralized inventory of Saint-Gobain’s Bank Accounts, Portal Users Profiles, and Authorized Signers.
  • Resolve issues that involve banking which could include, but not limited to, researching transaction activity, troubleshooting portal issues, providing transactional/balance reports, and opening service tickets to support Treasury’s internal customers.
  • Manage the department’s Bank Fee Analysis system which entails reconciling negotiated pricing with bank to pricing in monthly Account Analysis statements.
  • Generate weekly General Ledger interface files from the Treasury Workstation for import into ERP.
  • No travel is required

Product Manager - Mill Work

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Ensure achievement of strategic, business and financial objectives for assigned lines of business within the Siding Products Group. Guides product management actions, defines pricing strategy and drives sales and marketing of CertainTeed and Private Label brand portfolio products in targeted Siding Products Group market segments. Determine end user and distribution/retail customer needs and develop new, innovative products and services, targeting ‘Industry Firsts.’ Similarly, through ‘Voice of the Customer’ activities and competitive benchmarking, partner with NPD and Operations to develop product line extensions. Develop volume and share goals by product line by region and track ongoing performance. Provide direction to sales, manufacturing, NPD, customer service, finance and marketing to execute plans and programs. Drive product development projects in support of new business development activities for assigned lines of business across all selling channels. Accountable for managing overall product profitability for both existing and new product lines, as well as defining and tracking sales results for new product launches. Operates with wide latitude for independent judgment and entrepreneurial decision making.

Essential Functions:

  • Full product management responsibility for multiple product lines and hundreds of SKU’s:
  • Develop and maintain multi-generational product plans (MGPPs) to guide and drive portfolio strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to maintain product profitability/productivity worksheets.
  • Establish product price positioning and set pricing guidelines; adjust through product life cycle.
  • Monitor competitive product developments and drive competitive benchmarking activities.
  • Facilitate annual review process and make decisions on product line rationalization and provide suggested disposition on slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Accountable for specification review and approval. Manage and approve all product changes.
  • Leads product planning and definition to ensure the product delivers value to target customers, achieves portfolio objectives, brand positioning and channel segmentation/differentiation goals.
  • Directs cross functional product management teams to own and manage the product throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, launch and post-launch activities, maturity and transition).
  • Working directly with NPD project managers to successfully develop and launch new products and line extensions in alignment with product strategic and operating plans, including:
  • Development of product features, benefits and performance specifications utilizing voice of customer
  • Managing within NPD process to ensure all required steps are properly executed providing input for detailed financial analyses on all new product and capital procurement decisions.
  • Works with Sales managers to drive achievement of sales operating plan for all product lines managed.

The Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Production Manager, provides leadership, development, execution and planning strategies to optimize the supply chain network to drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency, improve performance and deliver an optimal customer experience across all channels of the business.

The objectives of this position are based on continuous improvements on time delivery, inventory management, execution of the forecast, and cost reductions. Acts as the voice of the customer to help drive direction in plant priorities.

This position will also have direct leadership responsibility for the direction and development of the Material Planner; the Shipping and Receiving team; and the Inventory team.

The position will require the use of lean principals and continuous improvement methodology to optimize distribution metrics, including safety, quality, and efficiency.

Strict adherence and a commitment carrying out the Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. 

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Planning and Analysis: Develop, track and continuously improve master production schedules for assigned manufacturing departments. Analyze, determine usage, and release materials to meet production schedules, customer deadlines, and inventory goals.

  • Coordinate, expedite, schedule changes, and expedite jobs as required.
  • Maintain raw material, WIP, and Finished Goods inventories to be appropriately responsive to Sales and Work Orders.
  • Generate and issue work orders by work center. Analyze variances, update routings and bill of materials as needed.
  • Forecast demand and align with production. Develop and adjust production schedules.
  • Lead Capacity planning activities to ensure meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of inventory and subcontract purchase orders.
  • Perform material availability checks, coordinate with procurement to resolve shortages, and communicate proactively across teams.
  • Implement contingency plans to ensure supply continuity during disruptions.

Inventory Control and Logistics Management: Support growth objectives through the development of concise metrics and reporting functions. Includes conducting risk assessments, supply trends, demand factors and at-risk product mitigation. Monitor inventory turnover and optimize stock, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through RCA.  Lead annual physical inventory and reconciliation process.

Purchasing (Cost Optimization and Risk Management): Oversees planning of raw material purchases/requirements and oversees negotiation of price reductions. Improves/Develops management systems for monitoring vendor performance. Guarantee the Purchasing activity is compliant with the Saint-Gobain Best Practices and Purchasing Policies. Develop and maintain the professionalism of the purchasing team.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Manage the ERP system with regards to data integrity and product processing to ensure accuracy of data. Analyze supply chain metrics to identify areas of opportunity.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain or Operations Management or similar is required.
  • Masters degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling with the understanding of manufacturing lead time, process, sub-contract operations and MRP/ERP knowledge is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in inventory control and forecasting/planning is required.
  • Experience working in an IATF16949/ISO/AS9100 certified environment is preferred
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally throughout all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Experience in planning for low volume/high mix environment.
  • Experience with shop floor reporting systems.
  • Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferably QAD manufacturing system.
  • Team building and motivational skills along with strong decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop others.
  • Ability to influence and drive solutions.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem solving skills.
