Digital Purchasing Analyst

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Digital Purchasing Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and execute the digital purchasing roadmap, with primary responsibility for leading the adoption, support, and continuous enhancement of purchasing digital tools across North America. In addition to serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for both corporate and locally developed solutions, the analyst will contribute to the development of automation and generative AI capabilities that drive procurement efficiency and actionable insights. This role requires close coordination with global and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment, share best practices, and incorporate user feedback into ongoing digital transformation efforts.

The Digital Purchasing Analyst requires the ability to think and act independently to develop and deploy appropriate data collection tools to gather the appropriate information from the business to support the sourcing and management activities for a variety of different commodity and service categories. The candidate must have highly skilled technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office, including Excel, SRM software and BI programming, as well as expertise in enterprise-wide systems such as SharePoint and Power BI.

  • SME (subject matter expert) for Saint-Gobain North America Purchasing team for all Digital initiatives in coordination with purchasing groups in Paris and Malvern headquarters, including tools managed by the central (Paris) team as well as locally developed tools by the purchasing or local IT teams.
  • Leads adoption and training as required of the tools, including site visits, training forums, and webinars
  • Manage communication channels and content repositories (e.g., SharePoint) to ensure timely and effective dissemination of tool-related updates and resources.
  • Develop best practices toolkit for widely used S-G purchasing digital tools to be shared across the organization
  • Manage the purchasing new hire on-boarding process for digital tools (new user access) and training curriculum
  • Support sourcing and category analytics initiatives, including category analysis, data support (cleansing and report generation), supplier research, and supplier selection analytics, in collaboration with category manager(s).
  • Central coordination of pricing and contract management updates in the ERP systems for strategic or category-specific suppliers
  • PO management and coordination centrally or across sites for central or shared suppliers
  • Support for key functions in the purchasing process, including the vendor setup, maintenance, and payment process
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within purchasing workflows, including the use of generative AI for data analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to prototype and deploy AI-driven models and scripts that streamline procurement processes.
  • Support Purchasing leadership on various ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Establish templates and reports as needed

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain, purchasing, finance, and/or IT
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and proactively engage across functional constituents
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems with MRP functionality
  • High Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Very high attention to detail, accuracy of work and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with a multi plant manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Desire to grow in Purchasing
  • Interest in AI/ML applications in procurement.
  • Completion of or current enrollment in Purchasing or a Supply Chain Designation Program (SCMP, CITT etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP purchasing

Maintenance Mechanic

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary. Trouble shoot machine break down and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Must adhere to all company safety policies and JSA’s while always performing tasks when on the premises. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation and have acquired additional technical training, both classroom and practical that will further enhance abilities that will meet individual and company needs.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • Inspect non-operational equipment for component wear.
  • Replace non-operational components of equipment that are hindering the equipment from operating efficiently.
  • Fabricate and rebuild the components to be used on the equipment in the plant.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems throughout the process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout instructions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and adequate skills to understand various plant processes.
  • Perform welding and burning functions in a safe and efficient manner.

Positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Work with others constructively and abide by company policies and procedures. Working together as a team for continuous improvement is vital to ensure the future of GCP and its employees. Teamwork will be required to be effective in daily maintenance assignments as well as special improvement and continuous improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with requirements surrounding plant maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to dismantle and repair auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems, and perform basic welding and burning in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics, and wire control panels.
  • Fabricate machine parts for the repair of the manufacturing lines.
  • Will participate in training, craft skill improvements, and department safety topics.
  • Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental, and Property/Equipment Damage.
  • Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA’s.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:  The manufacturing plant is not temperature-controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present in the plant areas.   Manufacturing processes involve asphalt coating and polypropylene.  Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travels throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas. 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience and successfully pass a skills test, which is intended to determine mechanical skills and knowledge, basic electrical, A/C, and 3-phase circuits, general welding, cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and instrumentation knowledge and skills. 
  • Basic operating knowledge and understanding of computer systems.
  • Able to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, accept criticism, deal calmly and effectively, communicate with all levels of customers, whether internal or external, be sensitive to others' needs, and maintain a positive demeanor. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk, and hear.
  • Other physical requirements include the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 70lbs without assistance, work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions, the ability to climb ladders up to 60 feet, and work with arms above head.

  • Responsibilities include the designing / developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects, which contribute substantially to plant profitability.
  • Interacts with Team for operational trouble-shooting, process improvement projects, production materials requirement, raw material availability and Quality Step Zero requirements. USE WCM tools and philosophy accumulated data to prepare diagrams and flow charts for the efficient operation of the equipment.
  • Interacts with consultants and suppliers to determine compatibility of other systems and products as they may apply to process improvement.
  • Develops and encourage innovative processes and equipment concepts along with follow through to Return on Investments (ROI) patents and / or proprietary intellectual property.
  • Analyzes operating problems, develops solutions, and leads the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Organizes and initiates run trials to evaluate equipment, process and raw material opportunities.
  • Responsible & Accountable for the integrity of the BOM including usage and deviations analysis.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or similar discipline; or five (5) years of equivalent training and experience to have comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and regulations associated with process control technology may be substituted for a degree.
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of applied professional process experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in project management and project engineering fundamentals.
  • Previous experience with product formulation, water and foam chemistries, mass & energy balance, flow diagrams, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), fluid properties and thermodynamics.
  • Working knowledge of advanced statistical tools used to reduce variations.
  • Flexible, open-minded team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Production Supervisor supervises the daily activities of production personnel and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the production team. MRO Storeroom Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Ensure accuracy of storeroom inventory issues with courteous, professional service to our internal/external customers, and prompt resolution of issues. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the storeroom inventory and supervises up to four (4) Storeroom Attendants to ensure smooth operation of the storeroom. Position works closely with plant technicians, engineering personal, and maintenance supervisors.  This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

  • Maintain an orderly, stocked storeroom at all times, notifying management immediately of any upset conditions.
  • Generation of reports from the maintenance management system and other programs to ensure storeroom inventory.
  • Investigate, oversee implementation, and sustain any new inventory management systems as necessary.
  • Create and maintain systems to identify and accommodate for changing lead times, prices, etc. of parts needed for maintenance work.
  • Ensure parts vendors are meeting the expectations set for them by the maintenance leadership.
  • Maintain procedure to ensure parts in inventory stay in ready to use condition – ex. not dry rotted, motors turned periodically, etc.
  • Resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
  • Navigation of the internet to locate storeroom inventory and other factory supplies.
  • Complete understanding of the process for outgoing goods shipment.  
  • Communication with all levels of MRO parts distribution and plant leadership.
  • Ability to discern what is sensitive information when it is received, and how to handle it.

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred or an associate’s degree in a technical field
  • 5 to 7 year’s experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with a working knowledge and understanding of the technical areas of machine maintenance
