We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused Plant Operator to support manufacturing operations across our facility in Houston, Texas.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm

Essential Duties:

  • Operate production processes to manufacture finished goods that meet customer requirements while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Support and participate in required regulatory testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards and operating requirements.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute recommendations that improve product quality, production output, cost control, workplace safety, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping standards across production and warehouse areas to support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and reconciliation activities to help ensure inventory accuracy and operational control.
  • Prepare shipments according to order specifications, ensure proper loading practices, and support compliance with applicable DOT regulations.

  • A High School Diploma or accredited GED is required

Industrial Electrician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

JOB PURPOSE: This employee must demonstrate core skills, which include understanding company safety policies, adherence to the SGC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines. Also 5-S requirements, sustaining the process and general housekeeping guidelines are required. Employee must follow verbal and written instructions and have knowledge of product line and manufacturing standards. The normal operating duties are listed below are not intended to be inclusive.

Shift: 3rd, 10pm-6am, but able to work all shifts

Pay: $38.89

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect machines for wear and defects in operation, replace defective parts, and make mechanical/electrical adjustments and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots and performs emergency repairs.
• Update, modify, and/or change equipment as upper management assigns.
• Maintain detailed Preventative Maintenance records.
• Follow the proper procedure for replacement parts as removed from inventory.
• General repairs around the plant as needed and/or assigned by the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
• Explain to workers the proper use and operation of maintenance equipment.
• Work from blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams. Use test equipment, precision measuring equipment, equipment manuals, service records and preventative maintenance lists.
• Work with service technicians to install and maintain automated equipment.
• Complete work orders and enter your labor time in a timely manner.
• Use proper Lock Out Tag Out and Try Out to ensure zero energy state on all equipment.
• Perform administrative duties when necessary.
• Train new and existing employees on the process of equipment pertaining to Maintenance.
• Understand basic computer skills and be able to use a CMMS system.
• Reset motor overloads.
• Perform shorted motor testing.
• Perform process equipment PMs (Preventive Maintenance).
• Identify faulted drives and replace electrical motors and drives.
• Learn the operational functions of equipment to troubleshoot issues and eliminate deficiencies effectively.
• Cut and weld using oxygen and acetylene, experience with stick and MIG welding machines for fabrication. TIG welding experience is a plus.
• Understand Arc Flash safety and the theory associated with it.
• Utilize various types of electrical testing equipment.
• Start up the various pieces of equipment according to the Standard Operating Procedure.
• Troubleshoot various types of drives and motors up to 480V.
• Train new and existing employees on operation of equipment pertaining to Electrician.
• Bend and install various types of conduit as well as pull and terminate various types of wires.
• Perform preventative electrical maintenance.
• Read electrical schematics and drawings to be proficient with making changes using current electrical symbols.
• Work alongside Electrical Engineers in troubleshooting and upgrading electrical systems and resolving equipment issues and plant issues.
• Troubleshoot blown fuses, photo eyes, relays, breakers, etc.
• Perform in a safe manner troubleshoot and/or reset the plant drives and electrical panels.
• Install transformers and install plus program VFD drives.
• Have a full understanding of control voltage and Remote I/O.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness of work area and equipment

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial mechanic experience.
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is a plus.
• Experience with VFD (variable frequency drive) is required.
• Electrical repair & troubleshoot plus mechanical repair helper.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents relating to how the process operate.
• Basic tool knowledge and usage based on the job classification/necessity.
• Utilize math in fractions and decimals and know the metric measuring system.

Transportation Specialist I

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

As Transportation Specialist I, you'll play a key role in keeping our shipments moving by partnering with carriers and internal teams to ensure materials are delivered and received safely, on time, and cost-effectively. You'll be the day-to-day point person for coordinating equipment, dispatching loads, monitoring service performance, and quickly resolving shipment issues so our customers and plants stay on track. 
In this fast-paced, highly collaborative role, you'll use tools like TMS, SAP, and Salesforce to tender loads, track capacity and freight costs, and investigate service exceptions. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement efforts, support carrier reviews with performance data, and grow your logistics skill set through training and cross-team support.
  
· Coordinate daily with carriers to secure equipment and support inbound and outbound shipping needs 
· Partner with customer service teams to align on shipment requirements, priorities, and timelines 
· Dispatch shipments to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing freight costs and service performance 
· Monitor carrier performance and proactively address service issues or disruptions 
· Identify potential capacity constraints and implement solutions to mitigate transportation risks 
· Investigate and resolve shipment exceptions, including service failures and freight claims 
· Utilize TMS, SAP, and Salesforce systems to manage shipments, track performance, and maintain accurate records

Shipping Invoice Coordinator

Effectively manage the invoicing/shipping function for the Traverse City location of Saint-Gobain. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed. Maintenance Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs industrial equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient production. This role minimizes downtime, supports continuous improvement, and assists with other plant operations as assigned.

Essential Duties:

  • Make safety the top priority in all maintenance activities by following OSHA guidelines, company safety policies, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

State Tax Manager

One of the Technical Manager’s primary functions is to provide the creative and project leadership for the plant modernization objectives. In this role, they utilize an extensive knowledge of coated abrasive manufacturing equipment, processes, production costs, alternative manufacturing technologies and market requirements to creatively identify areas where re-engineering or the application of new technologies can result in significant improvement in cost or quality.

The Technical Manager must integrate a variety of information from production performance, process engineering, R&D, marketing, financial statistics to identify where the potential for improvement exists. If new technologies are involved, the Technical Manger must be able to assess the technical and financial risks and effectively communicate and coordinate support amongst the functional areas, both internal and external. The result is a rolling 2-3 year modernization roadmap that forms the basis for long-term capital investments and manufacturing cost/quality improvements.

The Technical Manager must ensure the technical viability and that performance payback objectives are met. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate the objectives and obtain the necessary approvals. Once approved, the Technical Manager provides project management direction for the department and the team’s project. For smaller projects, they may delegate this responsibility to staff personnel.

The Role
