POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Operator will be responsible for successfully operating equipment, evaluating samples, and compiling information and reports. The list of duties includes, but is not limited to:

SAFETY

  • Always support a safe working environment in all areas of the plant and with all employee interactions.
  • Immediately, correct or report unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution.

SUPPORT PLANT OPERATIONS

  • Daily operations include, but aren’t limited to, safety, quality, housekeeping, operations, maintenance, material handling, and inventory management.
  • Motivation: Have a passion to cross-functionally learn and advance as a CertainTeed employee
  • Communication: you will continuously interact with peers and managers about daily interactions, potential issues, and needs; it is critical that you remain approachable and engaged with the team – we look out for one another, and communication is the key.
  • Flexibility: you must be flexible to work in multiple areas, adapt to production schedule changes, environmental changes, and potential work schedule changes.
  • Data recording when necessary for the assigned shift.
  • Follow all environmental and housekeeping requirements, properly dispose of trash, regularly sweep keeping material, oil, and water off floors, and keep contaminated material from entering the process water system.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment – training will be provided.
  • Ensures that quality is maintained by following current operating procedures and process controls.
  • Perform all other duties and assignments as and when requested by the Shift Supervisor.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Promote and support an atmosphere of continuous improvement toward safety, quality, customer service, and productivity process improvements through the engagement of your team.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Manufacturing environment - exposure to the electrical/mechanical/power manufacturing equipment, with consistent heat and noise exposure, and exposure to dust.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous work experience in Lean Principles or WCM is a plus, but not required.
  • Essential and marginal functions require maintaining good physical condition necessary for standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Incumbent will exert an average force of 50 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, and/or transfer equipment and materials; this role requires considerable walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • May lift and stack heavy objects not to exceed 50 pounds and carry these items up to 50 feet of distance.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and walkways associated with industrial manufacturing environments.

Warehouse Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Supervises the daily activities of all warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions to include, including labor scheduling, storing, shipping, space management/cycle counting, and housekeeping. Supervise warehouse personnel to attain a high degree of efficiency and provide key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping, and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the warehouse team.

Consistently and equitably, enforce plant rules, holding crewmembers accountable for all facets of their jobs.

The Supervisor is held accountable to ensure warehouse activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, compliance with legal and company policies, and procedures in a manner consistent with SGC CertainTeed LLC Principles of Conduct and Action.

Essential Functions

  • Directly supervises the hourly warehouse employees' activities pertaining to material management, equipment problems, truck loading, truck traffic, housekeeping, cycle counting, and inventory management. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Communicates & documents employee expectations and assesses employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
  • Oversees the training of warehouse employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating forklifts and any other motorized equipment, ensuring they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Understands and performs cycle count activities and how they can affect inventory and all warehouse functions, and all inventory locations are maintained with the correct inventory to ensure shipping documents are accurate – first in, first out should be the priority.
  • Ensuring solid communication between truck drivers and warehouse employees at all times.
  • Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to warehouse activities.
  • Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas. Assures warehouse lighting infrastructure is operational and functioning for efficiency and safety.
  • Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective sites' pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Shift Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - must be flexible

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • 2- year degree is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • General understanding of ISO methodology (ISO 9001, 14001, & OHSAS 18001).

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (familiarity with UKG and SAP systems)
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.

Leadership:

  • Projects include leadership of lean/six sigma activities and routine maintenance of quality systems and troubleshooting problems, which impede the effective operation of quality functions. He/she will initiate steps to explore, in some detail, the precise nature of the problem and identify possible corrective actions.

Communication:

  • Ability to manage, motivate, communicate, maintain a full crew, and develop an effective team. The position is highly visible to all employees, and the incumbent must affect leadership through integrity, knowledge, and personal example.
  • High level of professionalism when interacting with outside resources (i.e, dispatchers, truck drivers, Sales TM’s, Corporate logistic resources).

Problem Solving:

  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Travel: The incumbent will be required to travel occasionally for training and development.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $76,300 to $127,440. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

We’re looking for an Estimator II to join our team in Norcross, GA. In this role, you’ll prepare accurate material takeoffs using OST and/or Bluebeam Revu, develop pricing through Excel-based configurators, and generate professional quotations and budget proposals within our ERP system. You’ll collaborate closely with regional sales representatives while managing estimating responsibilities for assigned territories across the U.S. and Canada. Le/la Coordonnateur(trice) du contrôle de la qualité sera responsable de résoudre les problèmes liés à la configuration des machines, de soutenir les initiatives en matière de santé et sécurité, de planifier les horaires de production et de superviser les activités de fabrication et d’entreposage. Le rôle comprend également le développement de politiques et de procédures visant à améliorer la productivité, assurer la qualité, réduire les coûts et accroître la satisfaction des clients.

Qualité

  • Maintenir les systèmes de contrôle des documents et des dossiers.
  • Créer et gérer les spécifications des produits et les contrôles de modification technique.
  • Contrôler et calibrer les équipements d’inspection, de mesure et d’essai.
  • Créer et gérer les rapports de non-conformité internes et externes ainsi que les retours de marchandises (RMA).
  • Soutenir les réclamations des clients et les débits fournisseurs.
  • Collaborer avec les organismes de certification (UL/ULC, CSA, CSSBI, etc.).

Quality and Process Control Manager

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for the leadership and direction of quality systems and process control strategy related to the vinyl siding production process for the Williamsport, MD, plant. The incumbent will control the cost of poor quality by leading efforts to analyze and reduce process variation and develop preventive controls. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Central Engineering, Product Management, and other critical functional areas to deliver on key organizational objectives with a specific focus on process control and quality systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead quality and process improvement by owning COPQ metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing CAPAs.
  • Implement and manage Quality Data Systems in MES, including dashboards for real-time monitoring.
  • Oversee Process Engineering and Automation to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Manage product and process validation to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Design and sustain process improvements, including documentation, visual controls, and operator training.
  • Lead the Quality Assurance team, including supervisors, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring regulatory and company compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management) to integrate quality into new products.

This position is primarily responsible for providing financial expertise and analysis support to our Jackson, MI facility.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $111,000 to $177,000 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $127,650 to $203,550. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guaranteed.
