The Electronic Electrical Technician will modify, rebuild, repair, or overhaul electronic, hydraulic, and electrical production and test equipment and controls. Troubleshoot all electrical, hydraulic, and electronic problems throughout the facility. Applies knowledge of electronic and hydraulic principles and theories in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Maintain, repair, and calibrate electronic and pneumatic and hydraulic instrumentation systems for industrial process.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required of the Electronic Electrical Technician. Materials & Products • Perform the required repairs to production and test equipment by replacing damaged, missing, burnt or faulty items such as printed circuit cards; and transistors, diodes, resistors, etc., using the latest techniques in micro soldering. Equipment • They have skill in the use of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, pulse and signal generators, distortion and waveform analyzers, digital data generators, digital voltmeters, frequency and pulse generators, and special test panels. They have skill in the use of a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, and soldering irons and in the use of micro soldering techniques. May work on power distribution systems and substations with proper certification. • Proficient in the use of a computer, and various software programs to troubleshoot programmable controller and CNC equipment. Design and alter logic and circuit changes. Provide electrical/electronic documentation using CAD or similar software. Procedures • Electronic Electrical Technicians at this level are skilled in interpreting and applying a variety of technical information such as technical orders, manufacturers' handbooks and repair manuals, schematics, block diagrams, mathematical expressions, and similar documents while testing and repairing functionally independent electronic equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems throughout the facility. • Work on highly complex systems of electronic sensing and control. This includes multiple axis numerically controlled (NC) machine tools with continuous path or contouring control capability, such Electronic Electrical Technician Page 2 as machining centers, plant controls, and computer controlled warehousing/stock-handling equipment and centralized environmental monitoring and control systems (EMCS) that use special purpose, dedicated computers to store operating parameters and initiate adjustments. • Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron. • Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools. • Develop and upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for components, equipment, parts and systems. • Fabricate parts such as control panels, terminal boards, and chassis. • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts. • Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. • Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools or software. • Procure parts and maintain inventory and related documentation. • Provide user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades and enhancement. • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. • Research equipment and component availability and sources. • Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. • May modify computer or microprocessor software programs.

Leading a team of two Customer Service Representatives, this role supports the sales process by providing order status updates, product knowledge, account support, and assistance with quote preparation.

Pay Transparency:

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,450.00 to $135,850.00. Job Summary:
QA Inspectors compare in process and finished goods to established specifications; reports variance to Coordinator. Compare measurements, form, fit, function, and value judgments of simple and complex parts to drawings/specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience, and knowledge of inspection techniques of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. Responsible for ensuring Good Documentation Practices are utilized throughout all quality records that are reviewed/completed/inspected/audited. Responsible for work order review and batch order closure.

Essential Functions:

  • Compare first piece produced on equipment set-up for conformance to specification.
  • Write detailed inspection report in compliance with GMP standard on parts, products and processes that fail inspection; investigates scope of the failure and forward report to Coordinator for disposition.
  • Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of complex parts to blueprint and specification.
  • Compare measurements, form, fit, function and value judgments of simple and complex parts to blueprint, specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience and knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • Utilize statistical process control where applicable.
  • Assist in orientation of new technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring proper calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper level of supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion This includes reordering task
  • Carry out formulated plans, policies and procedures of the department per GMP regulations
  • Communicate with employee's any instructions or requirements as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager

The Role

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the Fremont, California manufacturing facility to achieve operations goals and objectives regarding plant safety, environmental, quality, service, profitability, capital investment, cost reduction programs, strategic operations planning - all while maintaining a positive employee relations climate.

Managers of the Production, Engineering, Materials Management, WCM, Quality, and HSE functions report directly to the Plant Manager. The Plant Manager actively leads overall site safety and environmental initiatives to achieve and maintain world class performance and will direct and coordinate all operations related to production and shipment of roofing products produced at the Wilmington facility.

Job Duties:

  • Champion a safety-first culture through systems, training, and safe behaviors.
  • Oversee safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, and cost improvements. Explore and analyze technical, production, and management disciplines to develop annual budgets and long-term plans.
  • Drive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) initiatives on site. Align with Corporate Procurement & Supply Chain teams as well as local teams to mitigate risk with single sourcing of raw materials as well as achieving target inventories for finished products. Provide direction for local materials management to manage proper inventories, improve costs, provide timely feedback to suppliers and drive supply contracts.
  • Build a strong leadership team across multiple functions, including production, engineering, supply chain, quality, Operational Excellence, and EHS.
  • Lead organizational planning and career development, coach and mentor team members.
  • Set and evaluate departmental and individual objectives to advance growth.
  • Drive effective collaboration with the plant operational teams as well as the community functions of Human Resources, Finance and others.
  • Deliver financial goals, capital plans, schedules, and workforce needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, WCM, and innovation initiatives.
  • Manage plant financial performance (P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control).

Quality Lab Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Lab Technician is responsible for providing quality and technical support to Manufacturing by ensuring raw material, process and product quality tests are performed in a timely manner to meet standards and surpass customers’ expectations.  This support also includes monitoring process parameters, assisting with plant trials on new materials, equipment or products and assisting with the investigation of quality defects (internal and external).  The Lab Technician provides training to personnel on quality testing and product specifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Learn and perform all quality tests per SOP, and the function and use of laboratory equipment.
  • Performs laboratory testing on a routine basis per the Control Plan, including data entry into the Quality Systems to ensure raw material, in-process and finished product quality meets Regulatory, internal and customer requirements and specifications.
  • Assists with investigation and resolution of quality defect production (internal culls) and escapes (customer complaints) with Senior Quality Team members. 
  • Assists Senior Quality Team members with control, evaluation and disposition of product and raw materials, under testing or on hold including retesting and data entry as needed.
  • Know how to use testing equipment and ensure correct technique is used by production testers.
  • Assists with trials conducted to evaluate and implement new materials, processes, equipment or products.
  • Assists in monthly calibration of feeders, pumps etc.
  • Additional testing as required under direction of Quality Team.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Follows all safety policies, procedures and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others.
  • Complete all required CT/Saint-Gobain trainings within required time.

Work a consistent schedule, Monday - Friday 1:45pm - 10:15pm!

Starting Pay: $21/hr + 15% shift differential. That equals $24.15 per hour! Great starting wages!

What’s the job?

The primary role of Process Technician is to safely accomplish all of the production, quality, and cleaning tasks normally associated with the department. In this position, team members must be able to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Handling of glass and willing to run a hoist as needed
  • Continuous quality checks throughout each process
  • Working with computer programs and software to run equipment properly
  • Testing of product at different processes
  • Maintain a clean work area - 5S
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and individually
  • Ability to troubleshoot and respond quickly to minimize downtime
  • Strong decision making and good judgment to keep production flowing
  • Ability to multi-task and get the job completed to standard
  • Ability to read, write and understand English

Process Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Are you an innovative engineer looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Process Engineer to support our Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams at our Roofing Plant. In this role, you will refine and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

What You'll Do:

  • Safety First: Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring strict adherence to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, and actively participate in incident and near-miss investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.

  • Environmental Stewardship: Support environmental compliance by adhering to waste management, recycling responsibilities, and reporting requirements.

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze production data and apply statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and other statistical tools to identify and eliminate process variation.

  • Process Development: Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through startup and stabilization, ensuring smooth transitions and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborative Troubleshooting: Partner with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and improve process capability.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and support Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to drive cost reduction, yield improvement, and throughput gains.

  • Innovation Integration: Introduce and integrate new technologies, raw materials, and methods to enhance efficiency and product performance.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering (co-op/internship experience considered). Experience in roofing or building materials manufacturing is preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills to effectively address challenges and drive improvements.
  • Technical Proficiency: CAD/AutoCAD or process engineering software experience is preferred.
