Per contract Hire In Rate is $30.19 and hour with a .75 shift differential for 2nd (4:00PM-12:00AM) and 3rd shifts (12:00AM-8:00AM).

Summary:

Maintenance Technicians safely perform mechanical and electrical duties to keep machines, equipment, or the structure of a facility in repair. They perform preventative and predictive maintenance as needed and work with engineering and production to ensure that all equipment is functioning.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Basic carpentry, welding and plumbing and piping
  • Basic Electrical (Examples: Receptacles, Circuit Installations, Running Wire, Wire Motor for different voltage, assemble/wire two phase 208 station start-stop circuit, neatly wire/label, troubleshoot/fix blown fuse)
  • Basic Mechanical and machining & fabrication
  • Basic PLC (Troubleshooting PLCs, Modifying/Installing basic ladder logic)
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Basic Computer skills (ability to log into a computer, perform data entry, research and review information/data)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team. Job Summary

The Loading Supervisor will primarily be responsible for supporting the loading team, overseeing the safe loading of trucks, assisting customers, and providing guidance and direction to the other shipping employees. This position is hands-on and will require the successful candidate to learn and perform all aspects of loading. This position will ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. This role will also ensure effectiveness of employees through assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal.

 

Responsabilities

  • Ensure safe work practices are being followed.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure that every employee under your direction is trained on every task they will be required to perform throughout their shift ie. safe operation, paperwork completion, banding/strapping, housekeeping, setting up trailers, etc.
  • Oversee staff to ensure work is being performed according to established standards.
  • Ensure that new employees are trained appropriately and provided support.
  • With the support of Human Resources, handle employee complaints and incidents, including conflict resolution, accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, and investigations.
  • Ensure that loads are secure according to loading standards and that loads are shipped completely and that the trucks are loaded safely.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator and other Supervisors to determine daily priorities.
  • Notify the sales team of any product that did not make it on the truck.
  • Inspect the racks and surrounding area on a daily basis to ensure that product is not forgotten.
  • Ensure that all trucks have the required load manifest paperwork.
  • Determine areas of improvement for employees, providing additional training as needed.
  • Celebrate successes and foster an atmosphere of success.
  • Provide informal feedback and coaching to staff on an ongoing basis and document those discussions.
  • Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations.
  • Participate in site and workplace inspections.
  • Liaise with other departments as well as other shifts to ensure that all parties are aware of the priorities for the day.
  • Ensure non-loading employees are never in the loading area in the working hours.
  • Assist with the loading of customer vehicles or the loading of trucks as required.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as the Moffetts, Combi-lift forklifts, and counterbalance forklifts.
  • Safely operate saws, nail guns and wrapping machines as required.
  • Unload shipments from vendors as required.
  • Assist with the control of traffic in the yard.
  • Ensure that the employees under your direction maintain a clean working environment.
  • Ensure that all employees take allotted vacation time in compliance with applicable employment and labour standards.
  • Approve vacation requests and monitor vacation schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Supervisory role
  • A minimum of 1 year of forklift experience is mandatory and successful completion of forklift training.

Operate injection molding machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards.

Essential Functions

  • Set Up molds and machines to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate Process Injection molding machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude. Understand SOP's relating to the department activities. Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must be a team player. Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal

Operational knowledge of injection molding machines is preferred.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations in Canada and the U.S.
  • Document logistics processes and contribute to training materials and SOPs.

Collaboration & Customer Service

    • Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Sales to align logistics operations with business needs.
    • Address and help resolve delivery or service issues in coordination with carriers and internal teams.
    • Support contingency planning and alternate routing when required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and TMS software.
  • Knowledge of freight vendor operations, shipping requirements, and compliance standards.

Position Description:

Day Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Responsible for the timely performance of Quality Control testing, accurate data recording, documenting compliance to specification and determination of acceptability of finished goods and work-in-process materials. Serves as primary point of contact for QC and facilitates collaboration with multiple functional areas including R&D, Process Engineering, Production, Materials and Shipping, and Customer Care. Provide procedural training and guidance to quality technicians and back-up lab personnel.

An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns demand constant attention. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. A commitment to carrying out the Company’s Policies is required. An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers and other employees.

The Quality Department operates on all three shifts and overtime shifts (weekends) when production is running. Employee must be able to work a varied schedule concerning hours/days/overtime in a fast paced environment to support business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Samples, inspects, tests, and analyzes finished products and in-process materials for acceptability per established, documented procedures and criteria using hand-held, bench-top, and specialty equipment. Makes determinations, based on written standards and judgement, of the status of tested material (ex. Acceptable, Hold, Rejected).
  • Prepares Certification of Conformance/Analysis and ensures 7 day testing is completed timely.
  • Monitors and maintains oversight of all Quality Control records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide procedural training and guidance to quality technicians and back-up lab personnel.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement (WCM) activities.
  • Maintains Quality Control records for accuracy and completeness. Maintains the work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations and 5S acceptable work area.

 

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

00High School Diploma with one to three or more years of relevant technical work experience or Associates degree in technical field with relevant technical work experience. - Required

Controls Technician

What is the job?

The primary function of the Electronic Technician (ET) is to bridge the gap between the plants Industrial Electricians and Engineering staff by providing electrical/electronic troubleshooting support and the preventative/predictive maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment at the state-of-the-art Glass Mat facility in Oxford, NC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of PLC’s related to safety, automation, and control systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and calibration of thermocouples, RTD’s, level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells and other electrical/electronic devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Provide support to the Engineering department on new installations of electronic control equipment.
  • Assist the electrical department as needed in troubleshooting of plant equipment, machinery, utilities, and safety systems.
  • Assist management in root-cause analysis on losses related to electrical/electronic failures.
  • To closely work with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improves equipment reliability.
  • Manage electrical parts inventory
  • Participation and completion of required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Responsible for performing SMAT observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.
  • Ensure adherence to waste management and recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development, understanding and review of related Job Safety Analysis and/or Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicates and logs daily activities to oncoming shift to verify effective handoff of information.
  • Participate in Maintenance driven projects (i.e., small-scale electrical, MOC)
  • Perform various administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to, email correspondence, purchase requisitions, completion of expenses reports, and invoice verification
  • Further develop skill set of crew electricians.
  • Perform Training Activities (i.e., LOTO training, electrical tech training, and PLC training
  • Travelling may be required (up to 30%) for learning purposes. After the site is complete, significantly less travel is required.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Keen knowledge of Lockout Tagout policies and procedures

As a member of the payroll team, this position is responsible for the accurate processing and timely distribution of payments for hourly and salaried payroll cycles in a multi-employer/multi-state organization across U.S. and Canada for over 18,000 employees in thirty companies. The Payroll Specialist must meet multiple tight deadlines associated with weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly payroll schedules while ensuring compliance with U.S. Federal, State, Local and Canadian provincial taxes.

This position is a customer service supporting role which provides guidance and resources to business unit customers as it relates to payroll calendar schedules, system navigation, technology tools, and reports. Serves as a liaison between SSC Payroll and HR Business Partners, HRIS, Regional Benefit teams, Relocation, Accounting, and IT.

 

Responsibilities

  • Utilize in-house payroll system performing gross-to-net calculations ensuring the correct taxes and deductions are withheld from these payments for U.S and Canada.
  • Process payroll cycles that are comprised of all or a combination of weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly pay frequencies with varying pay periods and check dates across over thirty companies.
  • Ensure that the preparation and distribution of payrolls meet established schedules, company policies, and government regulations.
  • Determine when garnishments, deductions, 401k loans and union dues are withheld from employees’ pay.
  • Perform the payment and distribution of off-cycle requests from customers daily. Ensures that off-cycle checks are processed timely in accordance with company policy, union agreements and bank regulations.
  • Responsible for performing reversal adjustments in the payroll system, a complex process, to correct a previous pay(s) processed in error. Validates that HR updates employee master data to prevent errors to the employee’s future pay.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex matters by providing root cause analysis and identifying corrective action. Requires comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, systems, and federal/state/local regulations with little supervision.
  • Interpret pay data results for accuracy, identifying, troubleshooting, and maintaining data to produce complete, accurate pay results, or providing recommendations for correction. Reconciles with external partners and recommends appropriate updates.
