The Omniseal Solutions division under the Mobility business is looking for an Engineering Technician to join the Saint-Gobain team.

Maintenance Technician/Mechanic - Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and equipment (CNC machines, lathes, presses…), using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Starts devices to test their performance. Lubricates and cleans parts. May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Repairs electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs electrical services from sub panels or junction boxes to equipment. Performs facility related repairs and maintenance to building electrical, plumbing and safety systems.

  • Must have 5 years Tool grinding/maker experience (required)

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $80,080 to $114,400. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]

Job Summary

The ideal individual will plan, direct, and supervise manufacturing machinery and facility services including building and operating systems maintenance, repair and improvement and custodial services. This individual will also review and establish operating procedures, practices, and priorities that obtain optimum utilization of personnel and/or equipment while maintaining safety standards, budgetary expenditures, and efficiencies. An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. A commitment to carrying out the Company’s Policies is required. An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for the company.

In addition to the site maintenance requirements, this individual is also responsible for:

  • Accountable for safe maintenance activities. Will promote, teach and improve safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors such as LOTO, permits to work, safety audits etc.
  • Provide direction to the Maintenance Coordinator to schedule all maintenance activities and progressively improve the Professional Maintenance status of all equipment on a prioritized basis
  • Oversees timely completion of breakdown root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation (EWO).
  • Works with the Storeroom Attendant to ensure spares inventory is optimized and coherent with the Professional Maintenance equipment requirements.
  • Evaluate lead-time, availability and usage to determine storeroom stock levels
  • Complete CAD drawings as needed to support the storeroom and maintenance department
  • Manages the plant Maintenance Management System (Hexagon) by ensuring WO’s are submitted for each task, activity entered including time (straight and over), breakdown codes, PM task accuracy, closure of WO’s in a timely manner, establishment of KPI’s (MTTR, MTBF, PM completion, etc), tracking of KPI’s, and leading data driven KPI improvement activities.
  • Prepare and present maintenance weekly plan to the department representatives
  • Create and submit monthly period report
  • Work with Reliability Engineers to plan project work – present plan status at the weekly maintenance meeting
  • Implements management systems to provide effective control and maintenance of all plant equipment & services.
  • Evaluate and identify the need for staff developments and coordinate training to cater for a better team and organization structure. Ensure all subordinates are fully briefed, counseled, trained and developed to meet plant objectives
  • Fork truck fleet management including maintenance, replacement, and use optimization/balance.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operation or Engineering (required)
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering is (preferred)
  • 7+ years maintenance experience (required)
  • 3+ years supervisor experience (required)
  • Experience in procurement processes and experience planning and scheduling the repair and maintenance of facilities infrastructures, machinery and equipment (required).
  • AM/PM Certified (preferred)
  • Six signa green belt (preferred)

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $101,1350 to $156,505. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer will work on projects of varying size and complexity across the country.  The focus will be to develop and deliver projects in a cost effective and timely manner by using tools such as project plans, timelines, and strong collaboration with the technical and operations teams. The role will be involved in equipment installations, equipment modifications, building and utility improvements, layout optimizations, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase safety, assure quality, and optimize productivity.

Project Management

  • Conduct investigations, drive development, and oversee the successful implementation of projects.
  • Prepare capital requests and support the development of compelling business cases.

Finance

  • Workers must be alert to all forklift and crane traffic and movement in the plant areas.
  • At no time will an employee walk under a raised lift of materials.
  • All manual handling will be performed using proper safety techniques.
  • Report all hazards, accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly to the supervisor.
  • Comply with all Bailey’s safety program requirements, including ESRTW (Early & Safe Return to Work), Lockout, Pre-use inspection, etc., as delineated in the Health and Safety Policies.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. They will collect production data and apply standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.

    • Coordinate and train operators to improve OEE, and 5S.

  • Troubleshoots and prevents safety and quality issues, improve efficiency, including reviewing new & existing tools, equipment, and production methods with tooling technicians.
    • Interact with production supervisor(s) for scheduling and troubleshooting requirements.
    • Provides process direction & training to operators.
    • Lead cross functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement appropriate corrective actions, and track and validate effectiveness.
  • Explore, investigate, and implement the processes, production methods and equipment of the future with a strong inclination to Industry 4.0. This includes:
    • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, daring to take our processes beyond what we currently know.
    • Create and be able to pitch business cases for CAPEX requests.
    • Implement new processes and equipment from A to Z, including documentation of machine parameters and operator work instructions, and purchasing peripheral equipment.

Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision and will use cross-functional leadership, technical knowledge and communication skills to launch new products and improve profitability on existing products in manufacturing areas. 

  • Identify and implement manufacturing projects which improve facility efficiency, reduce scrap, and/or improve product quality in order to contain and/or decrease costs. These include capital and WCM inspired projects.
  • Manage teams of employees in focused areas of productivity improvement.
  • Interact with the leadership of the effected departments to ensure the effective implementation of systematic changes.
  • Perform various facility improvement projects assisting building maintenance and 5-S efforts
  • Work with production supervision and operators to resolve immediate manufacturing problems on the shop floor.
  • Originate and update manufacturing and engineering documentation including procedures, specifications, drawings and train personnel for the implementation of these procedures

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee

Security Operations Officer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Job Summary

The Security Operations Officer will provide physical security and protective services for the Saint-Gobain North American Headquarters, in Malvern, PA, including first-line access control management, implementation and maintenance of defensive measures and electronic security systems, personal protective services, and response to medical and security incidents. The Security Operations Officer will also provide fire/security alarm monitoring and access control management for all outlying facilities and offices throughout the North American region via the Global Monitoring System. The role will also be responsible for monitoring the company’s Ethics Hotline and conduct and document the initial intake interview of hotline calls. In addition, the role will support reactive and proactive investigatory and security services as directed by the Security Manager.

Additional duties include:

  • Carry out effective, comprehensive physical security operations at the company’s headquarters and across the North American region as directed by the Security Manager
  • Provide reactive and proactive security services, including security system monitoring, patrols, threat identification and management, access control management, and emergency response
  • Carry out day-to-day operation of the Global Monitoring System that controls entry and egress and monitors fire and intrusion systems for Saint-Gobain locations in North America
  • Provide emergency response and management of all fire, medical, and security related incidents at the Saint-Gobain North American Headquarters in Malvern, PA
  • Support the company’s safety initiatives and continually monitor, mitigate, and/or report unsafe conditions or acts
  • Provide support to, or carry out, reactive and proactive investigatory services related to company-wide security incidents, threats of violence, loss or damage of property, or similar issues of concern

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Must be able to professionally deal with emergency situations, employees, visitors and contractors
  • Ability to work 12 hour shift, nights, weekends, and overtime shifts as needed
  • Knowledge and proficiency in electronic security systems and software (Electronic card access control systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, etc.)
  • Previous experience working in a Security Operations Center is preferred
