WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Reliability Engineer will support IPG’s immediate and long-term technical reliability initiatives. Key deliverable for this role will be reduction of technical related losses with in IPG. This role is responsible for integration of robust PM Step 0 systems, SAP, AM Systems, the reliability pillar as well as training and direct plant support of restoration & Asset Care methodologies. This role is the key support interface and linkage between initial PM program and more advanced maintenance tools & techniques.

AM Systems

Assists plants in development and Implementation of foundational Autonomous Maintenance elements to ensure improved sustainable technical reliability:

  • Tag Systems
  • Area Improvement Boards
  • Duty Sheet Systems

Restoration & Asset Care
Lead/Train Asset Care projects, develop Equipment Ledgers and support PM Step 0 initiatives

Reactive Support

Promote and use problem-solving tools such as EWO and co-ordinate the implementation of solutions for major downtime events at sites

Advance Manufacturing

In conjunction with I4.0 Team identify areas for enhancing use of Condition Monitoring and other technologies to support continuous data collection for key machine attributes that will translate into improved equipment reliability

Best Practice Maintenance

  • In conjunction with plants develop Best Practice Maintenance for common critical AA equipment and components
  • Develops and maintains standard operating & maintenance procedures, and work instructions. Identify and co-ordinate development of good practice PM’s across sites to improve reliability
  • Support Plant Maintenance Network initiatives by interacting with managers and supervisors at plant and corporate personnel to secure appropriate resources to plan and implement projects
  • Development of detailed maintenance tasks when necessary

Loss Intelligence

Analyzes / stratifies accurate data and information from records to prepare reports, statistics, etc. in support of continuous improvement of reliability across IPG

Learning and Development

  • Trains Basic Tools such as EWO’s, Quick Kaizens, Tags, Etc to plants
  • Trains PM Step 0
  • Train Asset Care & Restoration concepts which supports the fundamentals Professional and Autonomous Maintenance

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, purchase, inventory, logistics and maintenance of spare parts stores area
  • Maintains various department records, files, reports and equipment ledgers.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or requested by management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Proficiency in analytical techniques for characterizing polymer samples.

Pay Transparency 

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $79,500 to $123,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,450 to $135,850.

Administration and Support of Local Resources:

  • Provide comprehensive support, management, development, implementation, and troubleshooting for all local data rooms both remotely and on-site within the designated region.
  • Perform tasks such as racking, stacking, and cabling of IT servers, storage, and associated equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain various IT systems and technologies, including MS Windows workstations and servers, Red Hat Linux servers, storage appliances/SAN, VMware, VEEAM, Veritas NetBackup, Lansweeper, CyberX industrial network monitoring, Palo Alto firewall rulesets, and HP/Aruba switches.
  • Utilize Service Now IT Service Management (ITSM) to track incidents through completion and documentation stages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring that managed infrastructure is consistently monitored for uptime, capacity, utilization, and proper handling of service requests, including major or minor changes, from recording to implementation.

Operations:

  • Create, maintain, and delete Active Directory user accounts and relevant security groups.
  • Monitor resource usage and address system performance issues and alerts proactively.
  • Participate in the change management process, including planning, follow-up, and approval, as well as incident management, such as technical escalation and closure.
  • Conduct routine disaster recovery testing to ensure system readiness and resilience.

Customer Relations:

  • Offer innovative ideas to the business regarding industrial digital solutions by sharing knowledge and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Ensure alignment of customer needs with the strategy defined by DSI Group.
  • Address service issues by thoroughly understanding the customer's complaint, identifying the root cause of the problem, and recommending the most suitable solution to resolve it.
  • Expedite corrections or adjustments as necessary and ensure timely follow-up to confirm resolution.
  • Adhere to established communication procedures, guidelines, and policies to ensure consistency and reliability

Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Collaborate with local and regional management to design, procure, and implement IT systems tailored to the manufacturing network's needs.
  • Ensure that the delivered infrastructure aligns with SGTS standards and complies with security requirements, including the 28 Minimum Security Rules for Industrial and Logistics Systems (28 MSRs).
  • Oversee manufacturing IT assets throughout their entire lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
  • Proactively manage upgrades and replacements of non-standard IT infrastructure hardware and operating systems to maintain optimal performance and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in IT and/or technical manufacturing is essential.
  • Prior experience in serving internal customers within a large, complex organization is required.
  • Certification or equivalent experience in one or more of the following technologies is preferred: VMware, Switching/Routing/Firewall, IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Proficiency in these areas demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills necessary for the role.

CertainTeed is hiring a Maintenance Electrician!

In alignment with the company vision, mission, values, and objectives, the technician will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve electrical systems with the intent of improving uptime and efficiency. Day Shift: 12 Hour rotating shift: 7am-7pm (3 days one week, 4 days the next)

Compensation: $31.80 to - $39.00 per hour

Primary Duties:

  • Work with industrial controls, limit switches, prox switches, and photocells
  • Work with analog controls such as level sensors, load cells, and pressure sensors
  • Will be expected to install conduit and basic circuits
  • Will perform basic fabrication
  • Replaces and repairs electrical equipment/components 110 & 240 volts 3 phase and low voltage motor controls
  • Review all required schematics, blueprints, drawings, and work orders to install, troubleshoot, and repair desired products, parts, or system
  • Checks, collects, and organizes all parts and tools prior to starting a job or assigned task
  • Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area

Controls Technician

The primary function of the Electronic Technician (ET) is to bridge the gap between the plants Industrial Electricians and Engineering staff by providing electrical/electronic troubleshooting support and the preventative/predictive maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment at the state-of-the-art Glass Mat facility in Oxford, NC.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of PLC’s related to safety, automation, and control systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and calibration of thermocouples, RTD’s, level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells and other electrical/electronic devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Provide support to the Engineering department on new installations of electronic control equipment.
  • Assist the electrical department as needed in troubleshooting of plant equipment, machinery, utilities, and safety systems.
  • Assist management in root-cause analysis on losses related to electrical/electronic failures.
  • To closely work with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improves equipment reliability.
  • Manage electrical parts inventory
  • Participation and completion of required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Responsible for performing SMAT observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.
  • Ensure adherence to waste management and recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development, understanding and review of related Job Safety Analysis and/or Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicates and logs daily activities to oncoming shift to verify effective handoff of information.
  • Participate in Maintenance driven projects (i.e., small-scale electrical, MOC)

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Minimum of 2- year degree in Electrical/Electronic discipline and/or prior experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, Power distribution systems including switch gear components, Servo Motor Equipment and programming, Ethernet Networking systems, HMI and PLC Programming / Troubleshooting, Electrical & Electronic systems integration, Electro-Mechanical design and troubleshooting
  • Keen knowledge of Lockout Tagout policies and procedures
