Job Summary

Operate injection molding machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards.

Essential Functions

  • Set Up molds and machines to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate Process Injection molding machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude. Understand SOP's relating to the department activities. Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must be a team player. Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal

Operational knowledge of injection molding machines is preferred.

​PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop or kneel and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is in a clean room environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.

What you’ll do:

Logistics Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments (inbound, outbound, inter-facility) to optimize fleet and carrier utilization.
  • Communicate daily with freight vendors to secure equipment and confirm service requirements.
  • Use TMS software, ERP (e.g., SAP), and other tools to monitor tender activity, service performance, and freight costs.
  • Assist in managing carrier scorecards and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure freight vendor compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Data & Performance Analysis

  • Lead reporting and analytics to monitor freight vendor in-transit status, delivery performance, and on-time violations.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on logistics KPIs, highlighting risk areas and recommending solutions.
  • Analyze shipment data to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Support logistics budgeting by tracking freight costs per shipment and preparing cost analysis reports.

Process & Compliance

  • Support licensing, permitting, and IFTA reporting processes for fleet vehicles.
  • Assist in quality control checks to ensure accurate and complete shipments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations in Canada and the U.S.
  • Document logistics processes and contribute to training materials and SOPs.

Collaboration & Customer Service

    • Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Sales to align logistics operations with business needs.
    • Address and help resolve delivery or service issues in coordination with carriers and internal teams.
    • Support contingency planning and alternate routing when required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and TMS software.
  • Knowledge of freight vendor operations, shipping requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Research Engineer I - Bonded Abrasives

Saint-Gobain Research North America is looking for a highly motivated, talented and organized research engineer to join our growing Bonded Abrasives team.  The main responsibilities include supporting product development, process development, testing, and other activities supporting senior engineers on specific topics and manufacturing in the plant.  The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills and experience in lab environment and the plant. Hands-on, critical thinking and attention to detail are critical for this position.

The candidate will design and run experiments, produce lab scale samples, operate pilot equipment, and analyze the experimental results. In addition to designing experiments for the candidate’s primary projects, the candidate will be expected to conduct experiments to support projects led by others and in the plant.

The main duties will include:

  • Utilize basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake specific tasks and projects with defined scope, including new product development, process development, technology transfer and production support in the plant.
  • Design and conduct hands-on experimental work, data analysis, literature search.
  • Manage and document projects and tasks effectively with supervision.
  • Take leading role in aspects of lab management: safety, equipment maintenance, 5S, lab audit preparation and action follow-up, lab postings, regular equipment checks etc.
  • Develop and demonstrate open and collaborative approaches in all areas of responsibility.
  • Seek out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making.

 Essential Functions

  • Communicate technically with internal and external collaborators and utilize knowledge to advance projects and identify productive synergies.
  • Lead projects associated with new product launches through internal testing and test systems development (equipment, tooling, methodology, SOP’s, etc) plus management of data files.
  • Support the development and evaluation of new process measurement systems and techniques that enhance our capability. Design and execute appropriate experiments or supervise technicians in the running of experiments.
  • Work with supervisor and other members of the business unit to identify and document growth opportunities for the business. For new projects generated, participate as project team member or small project leader. 
  • Support product manufacture and improvement in the plant, identify root cause, set up internal tests and provide solutions.

  • Demonstrate adequate knowledge in HSE.

  • Industrial internship experience is a plus.

Shift Schedule over a 2 week period - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on. Work 15 days per month, work every other weekend (fri, sat, sun) but have off (fri, sat., sun) the next week

Pay: $17-$18 per hour

Job Functions:

  • Pack vinyl siding panels after cut off from extrusion process, follow nesting pattern and quality requirements.
  • Ensure the safety, quality, housekeeping, for the assigned areas as directed by the Production Shift Leader
  • Assist operator with line set-up, including stringing the line
  • Cut packing straps to length for boxes
  • Assemble and glue boxes
  • Visually inspect each siding panel for color or other visual defects
  • Inform operator or Area Lead of any visual defects or problems before scrapping product
  • Monitor hot glue levels, restock as needed
  • Label and number packing boxes
  • Load siding boxes onto skid
  • Strap skids to prepare for removal to warehouse
  • Perform line housekeeping duties
  • Train other packers as needed
  • Perform other management assigned tasks

Environmental Conditions: The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Certain states require pay information to be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500-$138,500 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $100,240 to $155,120.

  •  Work a rotating shift schedule on an alternating basis (from days to nights, vice versa)

  •  Work nights and weekends when scheduled
  •  Work overtime as required
  •  Work in an environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter

The Supply Chain Manager serves as a key member of the site leadership team, driving improvements in service levels, inventory turns, working capital, and on-time delivery through data-driven decision-making, robust planning processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This includes overseeing a team of direct and indirect reports across logistics, planning, and customer service, while also acting as the subject matter expert on ERP (QAD) systems, supporting standardization, data governance, and change management initiatives.

The role demands strategic foresight to develop and implement long-term supply chain plans that support business growth, cost optimization, and agility in a high-mix, low-volume production environment serving aerospace and industrial markets. In collaboration with corporate teams, suppliers, and key customers, the Supply Chain Manager proactively identifies risks, mitigates supply disruptions, improves material flow, and ensures compliance with trade regulations and quality standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100.

This position is also responsible for embedding lean manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles into supply chain operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, and acting as the voice of the customer in driving site priorities. The incumbent must be able to influence across functions, lead change, and align the team around shared objectives that deliver measurable business impact.
