What’s the job?

This position is responsible for the management of all Purchasing activities and projects as assigned and related to the Peachtree City, GA roofing facility. This position will perform all required purchasing activities with focus on cost savings, strategic purchasing improvement, implementation and adherence to global compliance, and utilization of internal digital tools while providing timely service to internal customers

  • Act as both a tactical and strategic Purchaser for the site and business unit while prioritizing cost savings initiatives.
  • Engage the plant’s technical teams early in the buying process to ensure compliance of purchasing methodology and proper management through the bidding platform.
  • Foster site compliance regarding the North American Purchasing Policy [NAPP], Purchasing’s Internal Controls Reference Framework [ICRF], Gift Policy, and Credit Card [One-Card] Policy.
  • Ability to manage projects for sites which they oversee, evaluate spend, to develop site portfolios for site agreements and cross-site/business synergies to leverage contract negotiation.
  • Drive compliance of the company’s digital tools to ensure everything is bid out according to policy, vendors are validated, and savings/avoidance is properly tracked/reported.
  • Utilize the law department library of contracts for all capital, equipment, and service transactions.
  • Process/monitor purchase orders and act as full-scope vendor liaison (i.e. bid walks, quotation, negotiation, purchases, contracts, risk qualification, SGCT Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc).
  • Execute and review monthly reporting to ensure proper site operations, commitments are reconciled, and on-time payments are achieved.
  • Hold regular training sessions and monthly Purchasing meetings with the plant staff regarding Purchasing procedures.
  • Required to sign Purchasing Charter, participate in online and in-person training sessions, weekly/monthly conference calls and meetings, and engage in plant level meetings as defined in the operations cadence.
  • Travel to the remote sites must be visiting monthly/yearly based upon need, as well as travel for site audits, vendor tours, emergencies, and events (Buy-Techs, events, staff meetings).

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 40% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $125,300 - $193,900. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Sr. Analyst, Accounting & Reporting

  • Serving as an experienced senior lead supporting Shared Services Center (“SSC”) accounting team, Business Unit (“BU”) and Service Provider team members, facilitating day-to-day accounting operations while improving the SSC accounting procedures and internal controls. Provide training and guidance to the SSC and Service Provider accounting team members.
  • Serving as a key Accounting and Reporting point of contact with the customer’s management and staff, delivering high levels of customer service, providing helpful, friendly and informative communications, being proactive in meeting customer needs and requirements, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Driving monthly close by approving journal entries, reconciliations, reports, intercompany invoices and balances, and reviewing income tax provisions. Ensuring Service Provider has all required inputs necessary to complete their closing duties. Responsible for the on-time delivery of closing results to customers’ management. Monitoring and analyzing applicable general ledger activity, ensuring account reconciliations are performed and reconciling items are accounted for on timely basis.
  • Responsible for customer financial reporting, ensuring compilation of Magnitude packages by the Service Provider, BU and SSC are completed on time, accurate and compliant with all controls. Ensuring tax, treasury, and government reports are completed accurately and on time by providing support to Service Provider as needed, quality review and monitoring
  • Ensuring compliance by Service Provider, SSC and BU with Saint-Gobain’s Internal Control Reference Framework (“ICRF”) and accounting guidelines established by GAAP and IFRS.
  • Working closely within the SSC and with the customer by leading or participating on initiatives to meet SSC and BU goals and on customer-sponsored special projects.
  • Responding to financial and tax audit requests for information and insight with support of Service Provider.
  • Applying technical know-how to research/resolve accounting and accounting systems issues for BU while lending direction to Service Provider. Support Service Provider with proper inputs or approvals for exceptions to accounting or process rules.

  • BS Business Administration/Accounting.  Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Professional Certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of general accounting experience in a large, complex international business is preferred.  Prior experience servicing internal customers in a shared service utilizing outsourced service provider organization is a plus.

What do you bring?

  • High school education and experience, preferably with two years of college in Business, Engineering, or Production Management
  • Five years of experience in asphalt roofing manufacturing or other industrial manufacturing, preferably continuous processing.
  • Three years of supervision of crews with at least 10 people, preferably in a union setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both spoken and written
  • SAP knowledge is preferred

Machine Operator

What's the job?

In this hands-on Machine Operator role, you will operate production equipment while maintaining high quality and productivity levels at the CertainTeed Gypsum Finishing Tape Plant in Junction City, Kansas. You will also sustain a positive team environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

As a Machine Operator, you will be under the direction of the Plant Manager with support from the Operations Manager and Shift Supervisor.

Pay Rate: As a Machine Operator, you will be paid on a weekly basis and your base pay rate will start at $17.00 per hour.

In addition to your paid hours, Machine Operators receive weekly or quarterly bonus payments based on assigned duties and/or productivity levels.

Hours: Shift schedules are fixed with current openings on our 1st shift: Monday - Friday from 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Job Duties:

  • Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and identifying, eliminating, and communicating unsafe conditions.
  • Configure, start, run, stop, clean, troubleshoot, and replace parts on the 613 Tape Rewinder, Automated Core Loader, and other production equipment.
  • Run an efficient production line by continuously monitoring the production area, equipment, and supplies while also mitigating wasted efforts and scrap materials.
  • Ensure product and packaging specifications are followed by performing frequent quality checks, making adjustments when needed, and immediately reporting abnormal conditions to the Leadership Team.
  • Keep production area and equipment free of debris and stocked for the incoming shift, ensuring all needed supplies are available.
  • Inspect, move, and load Master Rolls using a handcart and use a fork truck for various operations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. production line paperwork), read and understand specifications for all products, and document all changes as they occur.
  • Consistently and effectively communicate with all other team members and ask for help when needed.
  • Participate in and promote safety, quality, continuous improvement events and ideas.
  • Identify opportunities and help find new or better solutions.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Have prior manufacturing or industrial experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
