What’s the Job?

Utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles, the Process Champion supports the execution of the process improvement strategy for the Insulation Sites by ensuring assimilation and integration of known process knowledge, engineering principles and best practice equipment enabling capable operations. Key areas include: product formulation, process development and optimization, equipment design and optimization, general project engineering, and trial planning and execution.

This role is also the primary trainer for plant process engineers building process expertise at the sites.

This position is based at the Kansas City, KS plant or will we will consider a hybrid work arrangement to support this site. 

Essential Duties

Safety & Environment

  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
  • Complies with all environmental standards, assures good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, enforces plant rules and safety regulations, and supports WCM initiatives.

General

  • Participates in different project teams which analyze process variations; develop solutions and implements corrective actions by using advanced statistical tools in identifying and resolving the root causes of the variations in the process.
  • Responsibilities include designing / developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects, which contribute substantially to plant profitability.
  • Responsible for safely and successfully executing projects, documenting, and with assistance from supervisor communicating progress and results through reports, presentations etc.
  • Develops and encourage innovative processes and equipment concepts along with follow through to Return on Investments’ (ROI) patents and / or proprietary intellectual property.
  • Closely partners with R&D and Engineering groups to ensure new process knowledge and equipment

Process Integration

  • Assists plants in execution of key projects as identified on the plant process route map.
  • Provides overall process leadership for sites by being technical experts in one or more areas of Insulation manufacturing by:
    • Ensuring process gaps to established best practice standards are identified at each site.
    • Recommending and aiding the plant in correcting process gaps and issues.
    • Working with site to establish clear process parameters leading to a more stable/capable manufacturing operation.
    • Providing process and quality-based engineering and maintenance advice to plant operating personnel
    • Providing trouble shooting expertise for process and equipment issues
  • Performing equipment studies to verify proper and efficient operation of major process equipment
  • Assists plants in ensuring process knowledge, operational settings and equipment quality maintenance is sustained via use of Step 0 and other WCM foundational systems.

Training & Education

  • Principal trainer for engineers and local trainers.
  • Support Training of operators and maintenance personnel as needed.

  • Works with the Advanced Manufacturing team to leverage data in all facets of Insulation Manufacturing.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Ceramic or Material Science Engineering or equivalent experience in similar industries is required
  • 5-7 years’ experience in insulation manufacturing in one or more of the following areas:
    • Batch
    • Furnace and forehearth
    • Binder
    • Fiberizing
  • Minitab experience preferred
  • Understanding of mass & energy balance, flow diagrams, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), fluid properties and thermodynamics preferred
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 to $155,120.

eCommerce 360 Product Photographer

The eCommerce 360 ° Product Photographer is a critical position that supports our business as we rapidly expand the quantity and types of media to support the e-commerce efforts of our distribution network. Essential Functions:

PHOTOGRAPHY EXECUTION

  • Retrieves and organizes a large volume of products.
  • Prepare product for photo—Carefully remove the product from its packaging, ensuring items can be returned to inventory when possible.
  • Assess the readiness of the product for photography – Evaluate product labels for current logos/graphics.
  • Efficiently photograph our full listing of stock parts for various business units.
  • Group like items together for efficiency, reducing set-up time.
  • Initiate continuous improvements to find better support/hanging solutions for the different-shaped products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate with team members should questions arise with current products in the queue.

  • Executes image masking/post-production using OrbitVu software.
  • Maintain studio/booth cleanliness and organization.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of photography experience in a studio environment.
  • eCommerce experience is an asset.
  • Proven experience using DSLR cameras (Proficient in Canon 5D Mark IV) and comprehensive lighting equipment.
  • Familiarity with OrbitVu 360° photobooth software is an asset.
  • Skilled in Photoshop CC with a focus on retouching and clipping paths.

     

    Moving up to 50 pounds may be expected.

Under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor and/or Line Lead, the Relief Operator position is accountable for performing required tasks necessary to meet production goals on a production line in a team oriented environment. This is done with an emphasis on the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Follow all safety rules and rules as established in employee handbook
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Maintain good housekeeping as established by Relief Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement
  • Responsible for rotating in the feeding, stacking, and offloading positions, maintaining rate as defined in the recipe
  • Monitor the machine while the Machine Operators break, following the defined SOPs
  • Set up production equipment following established equipment settings
  • Maintain quality of product on production line by ensuring standards are being followed
  • Continually monitor product, to detect and resolve issues utilizing Continuous Improvement tools
  • Track and/or fill out metrics required to accurately close out production work orders

Construction Project Management & Execution

  • Ensure all subcontractors and vendors adhere to project specifications, safety standards, and schedule commitments through direct supervision, regular performance checks, and timely resolution of non-compliance or delays.
  • Oversee the demolition of existing infrastructure and construction of the PEMB, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, safety, and quality goals established for the project.
  • Maintain strict oversight of all assigned project budgets by proactively tracking expenditures, forecasting cost impacts, validating contractor billing, and ensuring all financial decisions align with project goals—while providing transparent, timely reporting to stakeholders and escalating variances as needed.
  • Maintain absolute control over site safety during demolition and construction activities by enforcing strict compliance with safety protocols, coordinating access and workflows among multiple third-party contractors, and ensuring that all personnel operate within clearly defined, segregated zones to prevent incidents and maintain operational integrity.
  • Establish and lead regular site start-up meetings and daily coordination briefings to ensure all contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders are aligned on safety protocols, work sequencing, access logistics, and project milestones—fostering a culture of proactive communication, accountability, and real-time issue resolution throughout all phases of construction.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable local and state regulations governing demolition and new construction, including permitting, environmental controls, solid waste handling, and safety standards.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including facility operators and relevant personnel, to establish clear protocols, schedules, and safety measures that minimize disruptions to existing operations onsite  throughout all phases of the construction project.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and schedule improvements throughout the lifecycle of the project.

 

Safety Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead all aspects of site safety management, including daily briefings, daily safety walkarounds, and monthly audits.
  • Coordinate with the site Safety resources and subcontractors on EHS plans and execution strategies specific to each phase of the project.
  • Define safe access and segregation zones; issue permits to work and enforce safety protocols.
  • Perform a minimum of 3 SMAT per month and enforce project resources do the same; maintain and issue regular incident registers as deemed necessary.  

 

 

Project Equipment Engineering and Execution

  • This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development and design of critical equipment to be integrated into the new facility. This role involves translating project requirements into innovative, compliant, and cost-effective equipment solutions that align with performance, safety, and scalability goals. This part of the role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of engineered systems that are integral to the success of the expansion initiative.

This position operates in a complex work environment facilitating the demolition and construction project teams for the NorPro expansion project in Wheatfield. The individual must possess great leadership skills and attention to detail to ensure the safety of existing operations and current employees onsite. We are looking for someone who has: 

  • Proven experience managing complex schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, demolition protocols, and construction safety standards.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and technical documentation workflows.
  • Proficiency in project management software  and  CAD software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree and experience in Industrial Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required. 
  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, including PEMB projects required.

  • Collaborer avec l’équipe de la production dans le but d’optimiser l’efficacité et la rentabilité des coûts.

Audit et conformité :

  • Veiller au respect des réglementations locales, provinciales et fédérales, notamment en matière de déclarations de revenus et de déclarations fiscales.
  • Participer aux audits internes et externes, notamment en fournissant la documentation et le soutien nécessaires.

Budgétisation et prévision :

  • Contribuer à la préparation des prévisions financières et des budgets annuels.
  • Faire le suivi du rendement budgétaire et fournir des analyses des écarts.

Entretien du grand livre général :

  • Veiller au maintien et aux rapprochements des comptes du grand livre général, notamment de leur précision et de leur exhaustivité.
  • Préparer et publier les entrées de journal, en fonction des besoins.

Analyse financière :

  • Soutenir le contrôleur financier principal dans le cadre des analyses financières afin de contribuer à la planification stratégique et à la prise de décisions.
  • Offrir de l’information et des recommandations, en fonction des données financières.

Collaboration et communication :

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec différentes équipes, notamment celles de la production, des ventes et de la logistique, pour veiller à l’alignement et au soutien en matière de finances.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finances ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Certification professionnelle (CPA ou CMA), un atout.
  • Expérience avec Oracle et SAP, un atout.
  • Expérience éprouvée en comptabilité, préférablement dans un environnement de fabrication ou de distribution.

Operate extruder machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards. Set up extrusion equipment to produce parts to specification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set Up extrusion machines by installing dyes, machine screws, and sizing rings to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate extrusion machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System to update job data, material usage, locate process sheets, view prints, etc.
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.
  • Set Up and Operate the cutter to cut tubing to specified dimensions.

Field Service Technician

With safety as the top priority, the incumbent will be responsible for the VERIFI equipment suite including installation, maintenance and repair.

Candidate will perform troubleshooting services to aid customers in resolving issues and help them achieve maximum potential from our solutions. The technician will be the primary VERIFI representative at the concrete manufacturing plant. They will install and maintain Verifi concrete management systems installed on customer mixer trucks and admixture dispensing systems as needed.

The VERIFI Field Service Technician will be required to interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, and truck maintenance management and mechanics.

Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time as the only VERIFI employee at the customer sites, thereby requiring candidate to work independently.

Schedule flexibility is required. Field visits may be scheduled late at night and/or very early in the morning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a broad array of knowledge including computer systems configuration, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, 12/24 volt DC electrical systems, and hydraulic system principals.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and comply with facial hair policy for respirator users
  • Must be able to comply with DOT requirements for a Non CDL commercial motor vehicle driver medical certification exam; drug screen, background check (safety performance and driving record)
  • Flexible work hours, overnight travel
  • Ability to respond to short notice project work and emergency service calls

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $60,000 to $73,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 8% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $64,800 to $78,840. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
