The Southeast Account Manager for CertainTeed Offsite Solutions is responsible for sales growth of CertainTeed’s (CT) One Precision Assemblies (OPA) (www.certainteed.com/opa) in the Southeast United States by generating sustained demand and positioning the solution as the preferred choice among builders, developers, and other customer audiences in a manner consistent with CertainTeed’s Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives (VMVO).

The Southeast Account Manager must quickly develop in-depth knowledge of the OPA product, competitive solutions, and the process of building a residential building using the OPA system. Building trust and relationships with others across all existing business functions including R&D, Operations, Product Management, and Finance is key to success. This position will work closely with our internal cross-functional teams and will work very closely with the customer success team.

Responsibilities

Is this job for you?

  • Works collaboratively with Offsite commercial team, Marketing, and R&D to deliver sales growth and sustained demand.
  • Meets Performance Objectives and Sales Goals as determined by management.
  • Sells a single, complex solution: One Precision Assemblies(OPA), along with associated upgrades and services.
  • Develops and implements territory strategy consistent with the overall business to maximize quality / effectiveness and quantity of sales calls.
  • Calls on owners, architects, developers, and municipality to create “pull-through” demand.
  • Use Salesforce.com as daily tool to track leads, document customer discussions, analyze and aggregate opportunities, and collaborate with internal colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Actively tracks submitted permits, new land development, growth geographies and potential customers, and market trends to identify and target most productive and actionable sales opportunities.
  • Builds, maintains and adds value to relationships between customers and CT’s organization; customers include all audiences, including builders, developers, owners, architects, realtors, real estate investors, distribution, etc.
  • Conducts and participates in sales promotions and educational meetings with builders, developers, owners, architects, realtors, real estate investors, distribution, and other trade factors.
  • Maintain strong relationships and open/frequent communications with other parts of the CT sales organization, in particular around overlapping customers or channel dynamics. Leverage network of CT sales professionals to grow visibility of and generate leads for OPA.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to understand customer needs/paint-points, modify or develop solutions to these needs, and effectively reach and educate target customers on the benefits provided by the OPA solution.
  • Able to manage some market complexities and competitive situations and build strong relationships with builders, developers, owners, real estate investors, and other building professionals.

What do you bring?

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, communications, business, construction management, or similar discipline required or comparable experience in lieu of a degree required.
  • 5+ years of equivalent experience in a sales role within the single-family, residential construction industry.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, which includes managing customer relationships, sales presentations, & closings of sales within the single-family, residential construction industry
  • Ability to understand the customer’s need and sell on a solution that addresses the need
  • Knowledge of residential construction practices
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with remotely located team members
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability toward business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication

  • Capable of reading and understanding building designs, drawings, details, and specifications
  • Working knowledge of building codes
  • Understanding of basic, applied building science. Ability to explain concerns to customers.
  • Strong familiarity with common energy-efficient building practices
  • High-level, practical understanding of building structures and systems (e.g. MEP)
  • Strong network of residential builders and developers in Southeast US strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of off-site construction practice

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,00 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a quarterly sales incentive bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $111,500 to $173,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

  • Support transition to 4.0 plant through digitalization of tools for employees and data power for analysis.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to complete competitive product testing and be involved with field sales calls.
  • Will assist in acquiring and maintaining, plant and products certifications, licenses and permits.
  • Must be able to handle the daily activities of the Plant, when the Plant Manager is not on site.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree, Master’s Degree in either Engineering or Business, (or relevant manufacturing experience with essentially the same responsibilities as outlined in this job description.)
  • 5 -10 years’ operations management experience within a lean manufacturing environment
  • Strong demonstrated understanding of manufacturing, lean concepts, processes and production environments.
  • Leadership and team building skills.
  • Extensive understanding of business planning, P&;L, budgeting, and impact on operations’ environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with comfort in presenting initiatives to upper management and stakeholders.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for building influential relationships and partnerships with all employees and internal/external customers.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills are also required.
  • Knowledge of computer software: Microsoft Office, database management, ERP Systems.

Market Development Manager

**The ideal candidate will reside in the Great St. Louis area or Southern, IL**

The primary function of this position is to generate profitable sales volume of the CertainTeed RISE and Specialty Cladding Products Portfolio. The position requires significant collaboration with the larger EPS organization to support RISE as a new product in the market. Products position supports include: RISE, Millwork, Urban Reserve, Stone Façade, Grace-Vycor Underlayment & Vycor Weather Barrier & Flashing tapes.

Incumbents in the position will be assigned a specific geographic sales territory in which they will be considered the technical sales specialist in positioning and selling the CertainTeed RISE and Specialty Cladding Products Portfolio. The territory will overlap with CT EPS Roofing and Siding territory manager(s) and the incumbent will work in conjunction with this team to promote the combined exterior products portfolio.

Sales will be applied to both sales territories in the shared geographic area and teamwork will be critical to success. This position will work closely with the EPS Regional VPs, Regional Managers, Territory salespeople and Key Account Managers.

In addition, this position will be responsible for working closely with the Siding Products Group product managers as well as R&D, SG Building Science Team and supply chain personnel including customer service.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, business or a related discipline is required. 

Comparable experience in lieu of a degree: 

  • Five years of equivalent training and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and practices related to the field of construction.

Basic understanding of one-step, lumberyard, and two-step distribution channels. 

Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

What’s the job?

POSITION SUMMARY: The Winder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the winder machinery, as well as other equipment. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation of the winder and its complexities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Operate all winder equipment, to include setting of up of the mandrel within product requirements and the winder control system.
  • Set slitters and ensure they are within specifications.
  • Understanding and operation of the Cognex vision system.
  • Understanding and operation of the IMT labeling system.
  • Perform start-up of Winder by threading the machine.
  • Monitor products and take appropriate actions on all defects to ensure quality.
  • Log all pertinent information and data into computer.
  • Maintain a properly cleaned area in and around the winder.
  • Assist with product and process changes.
  • Perform Visual inspection of finished products.
  • Must work in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met.
  • Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times and reporting any environmental incidents to their Supervisor.
  • Participation and completion of required EH & S training.
  • Responsible for performing monthly BBS observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.
  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructions.
  • Waste must be placed in appropriate designated labeled containers and lid must be
  • properly closed after disposal of waste. Examples of waste are chemical, oily rags, aerosol cans, empty paint cans.

Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.

  • Lead and develop internal and external component packaging strategy

Communication:

  • Routinely communicates with site and global cross functional teams on status of projects, improvements and initiatives.
  • Provide monthly reporting for projects and focus related to packaging.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent related degree required
  • Project Management experience (including packaging projects) 1-2 years required
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in packaging engineering (experience in a regulated industry with a preferred emphasis in Life Sciences) required
