WCM Continuous Improvement Manager

Effectively manage the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program in at the site, driving the Saint-Gobain WCM methodology across our manufacturing organization. Responsible for ensuring plant manager and departments achieve the WCM objectives (savings, KPI improvement and awards) defined by the business through execution, coaching, auditing, training and project leadership at the sites.

ESSENTIALS

Coordinate with plant manager and leadership team to identify opportunities for improvement of the sites strategic KPIs.  Effectively support the assigned sites in all aspects of Saint-Gobain World Class Manufacturing to ensure operational targets are achieved.  Responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefit across assigned manufacturing organization.
  • Align World Class Manufacturing initiatives, projects and priorities.
  • Act as change agent to instill the WCM methodology throughout the organization.
  • Train, coach and develop project and pillar leaders as well as the Plant Steering Committee members on the WCM methodology.
  • Provide execution, leadership and coordination for major projects.
  • Expert problem-solving resource for Black Belts and Green Belts to offer technical or professional expertise.
  • Collaborate with the peers in other businesses and regions to share best practices.
  • Integrate best practices into WCM routines.
  • Lead WCM projects as needed to support the plants and develop project leaders.
  • Partner with WCM leaders at the sites to develop, install and monitor a business process management system, including measurement tracking, reporting of implementation progress.
  • Offer technical expertise and guidance in project reviews.
  • Ensure open communication throughout all levels of the organization.

Pay Transparency

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Director, Manufacturing Performance - IPG

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What’s the job? 

Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role provides strategic engineering and technical leadership for 30 manufacturing sites across the IPG group, driving World Class Manufacturing (WCM) performance in areas such as yield, reliability, quality, sustainability, and speed to market for new products and processes. The position oversees all engineering disciplines—chemical, electrical/automation, mechanical, materials, paper science, and reliability—while fostering innovation, process excellence, and technical problem-solving. Acting as a key link between operations and R&D, this leader ensures seamless integration of new technologies, raw materials, and equipment into manufacturing systems. 

This role also champions quality systems, predictive maintenance, and advanced manufacturing initiatives, including automation and Industry 4.0, to enhance efficiency and reliability. It partners closely with sustainability teams to achieve 2030 and 2050 goals, ensures compliance with ISO and environmental regulations, and drives continuous improvement through robust WCM roadmaps. With accountability for operational excellence and cost optimization, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing performance across a global organization. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process Excellence - Lead 20 discrete manufacturing processes, setting standards and critical limits. Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues, support new product/raw material introduction, and act as liaison between plants and R&D. 
  • Quality - Define and maintain testing standards, ensuring robust plant quality systems. Drive Q&PC Pillar development, manage SME engagement for new products, and oversee system updates. Train teams on advanced testing methods and manage MOC processes. 
  • Reliability - Partner with central TIP (Technology & Industrial Performance) team to strengthen asset care, AM/PM, and predictive maintenance programs. Implement advanced monitoring (thermal, vibration, sound) and analytics to prevent failures and optimize equipment performance. 
  • Sustainability & Compliance - Support 2030/2050 goals, align with central sustainability and R&D teams, and ensure ISO/EPA compliance. Prepare sites for audits, develop corrective/preventive systems, and foster strong external relationships for sustainability initiatives. 
  • WCM Leadership - Oversee WCM champions, roadmap execution, and Single Agenda progress. Drive improvements across all 8 WCM pillars and deliver net manufacturing savings. 
  • Automation & Industry 4.0 - Collaborate with TIP and IT to expand automation and robotics, eliminate non-value tasks, and advance data analytics for performance improvement.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required  
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred 
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing operations, and process management

  • 5–7 years of experience managing sustainability programs and projects 
  • 2–5+ years developing and managing quality and process control systems, with strong understanding of process-quality linkages

The national pay range for this position is $165,500 to $264,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 24% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $205,220 to $327,980.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Will promote a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibit good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.
  • Manage Schedule Adherence, shift utilization, scrap goals, and % OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) by department. Facilitate problem solving activities to help troubleshoot problems on the production floor. Periodically conducts process/product quality audits and communicate customer complaints. Fully utilize and interface with the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to ensure complete data input and output on a daily basis.
  • Coach and develop direct reports. Manage departmental activities and coordinate with support departments to meet facility/corporate objectives. Initiate/participate in self-development and training of others. Understand all safety, environmental and quality policies and significant impact of job activities.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience in working/leading in a union environment is preferred

Maintenance Mechanic

Primary Functions:

Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary and support production as needed.

Pay Rate: $26.90 – $34.97 plus shift differential of .50 cents, when working the off shifts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions
  • Repair, adjust and modify power transmission equipment
  • Repair, adjust or replace pumps and supporting equipment
  • Fabricate and repair industrial equipment including welding framework for repairs
  • Use general shop and hand tools as necessary
  • Assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed
  • Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support
  • Must be forklift and golf cart certified
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams
  • Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
  • Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance
  • Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor
  • Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s)
  • Meet department’s key objectives
  • Participate in Company Safety program
  • Must understand and follow job specific SOPs

Quality Control Slitting Operator - MANUFACTURING – 3rd Shift (Sun - Thurs 10:30 pm - 7:00 am) - San Diego, CA

 

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Efficiently performs set-up, running, and monitoring of any of the Slitting machines. Personnel will assist in the training and supervision of new operator trainees. Ensures that the machines are running on their shifts, are producing a quality product in an efficient manner. Assist in the packaging and moving of materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines.
  2. Exercises strong working knowledge about the defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film’s quality and usability.
  3. Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision.
  4. Assists in the packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film.
  5. Assists in the training and supervision of less experienced operators.
  6. May occasionally performs lead operator responsibilities when lead operator is not available.
  7. Properly and thoroughly informs the relieving shift and department superiors about machine and production status, material processes, department or job needs and priorities, and problems of observations.
  8. Strictly follows standard operating procedures, set-up specifications, supervisor’s instructions, safety regulations and housekeeping policies. Follows procedures for any deviation to the above.
  9. Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisors concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards.
  10. Ensures, indirectly, that all phases of the Slitting operation are performed in an efficient manner.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Informs Lead Operator of any parts or supplies needed and follow-up on request if items are not supplied in a timely manner to ensure that request was passed on.
  2. Performs finished pallet sign-off and rework activity (when directed).
  3. Suggests updates to procedures and policies on a regular basis.
  4. Communicates with lead, plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues.
  5. Regularly monitors self-productivity and reports limitations to lead of department supervisor.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

With safety as the top priority, the incumbent will be responsible for the VERIFI equipment suite including installation, maintenance and repair.

Candidate will perform troubleshooting services to aid customers in resolving issues and help them achieve maximum potential from our solutions. The technician will be the primary VERIFI representative at the concrete manufacturing plant. They will install and maintain Verifi concrete management systems installed on customer mixer trucks and admixture dispensing systems as needed.

The VERIFI Field Service Technician will be required to interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, and truck maintenance management and mechanics.

Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time as the only VERIFI employee at the customer sites, thereby requiring candidate to work independently.

Schedule flexibility is required. Field visits may be scheduled late at night and/or very early in the morning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a broad array of knowledge including computer systems configuration, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, 12/24 volt DC electrical systems, and hydraulic system principals.

Planning & Scheduling of Dispenser Service work

  • In this role the candidate will interact directly with internal as well as external customers on a daily basis, and as such must possess competencies such organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation and project management skills.
