Job Details:

  • Follow all safety rules and rules as established in employee handbook
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Maintain good housekeeping as established by Relief Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement
  • Responsible for rotating in the feeding, stacking, and offloading positions, maintaining rate as defined in the recipe
  • Monitor the machine while the Machine Operators break, following the defined SOPs
  • Set up production equipment following established equipment settings
  • Maintain quality of product on production line by ensuring standards are being followed
  • Continually monitor product, to detect and resolve issues utilizing Continuous Improvement tools
  • Track and/or fill out metrics required to accurately close out production work orders

The Sr. HR Manager will provide strategic counseling to the Leadership Team on all aspects of Human Resources. Will implement, manage and oversee of a wide range of Human Resources programs across all shifts and 300 + employee manufacturing facility; including but not limited to employee relations, benefits, recruiting, Human Resource Information Systems, compensation, training, employee retention and compliance with all applicable laws.

The Sr. HR Manager will assist the Plant Manager and the Corporate Human Resource team with the creation and implementation of strategic HR programs for the plant. This position reports to the Plant Manager and will play an integral role on the Site Management Team in helping to achieve business goals and objectives. Will work closely with the Central HR Team to ensure that Saint-Gobain principals and policies are maintained through the site.

Key Accountabilities:

Providing strategic counseling to the Plant Leadership Team on various Human Resources topics to support moving the business forward. The person in this position is responsible for the success of employee relations, recruitment and staffing at all levels, workforce planning, benefit administration, hourly and non-exempt pay systems, Human Resource Information Systems, communications, training and development, discipline, diversity programs and community relations with the assistance from the HR Team. Responsible for the wage, salary, benefits and for overseeing the annual processes for exempt, non-exempt and hourly employees for merit and bonus.

Lead the development, dissemination and interpretation of personnel policies and their implementation at the site, providing consultation to the management team on leadership initiatives. Ensure that policies are applied in a consistent manner to ensure reduction of risk for the company and the employee. Provide independent insight into the impact of such initiatives on personnel.

Oversee and work with the leadership/management team to develop and deliver required training and employee growth programs for new and existing employees.

Communicate and coordinate the delivery of benefits to site personnel.

Oversee the employment process including recruitment, selection, placement, development, compensation, corrective action, discipline and termination, including the use of temporary employees. Coordinate the Employee Performance Appraisal, Merit Increase and Annual Incentive Programs.

Lead and develop current HR Team in order to meet the growing and changing needs of the Portage facility with recruitment, selection, placement, development, compensation, corrective action, discipline and termination.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, Required.

MBA (or equivalent), Preferred.

Work Experience

10+ years experience in Human Resources within Manufacturing; Required.

4+ years experience within HR Management/Leadership capacity; Required.

Travel for training and business meetings, up to 10%; Required.

Position Summary

The Slitting Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of operators in the slitting process, ensuring that all production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Slitting Team Leader will coordinate daily operations, manage staff, and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the slitting process.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead daily production meetings to communicate requirements for Safety, People, Quality and Production (SPQP)
  • Oversee the daily slitting operation, ensuring materials meet specifications and production goals.
  • Monitor and inspect product quality, address defects, and implement corrective actions. Address any quality issues immediately
  • Ensure that slitting equipment is running at optimal levels, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Train and mentor team members on machine operation, safety, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPI’s) machine downtime, yield, and scrap rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure raw materials and supplies are available and properly managed.
  • Maintain clear communication with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues
  • Maintain supervisory control and direction over the department’s day to day production activities
  • Maintains a collaborative approach with other Team Leaders and with associates to increase productivity and throughput by creating a team-oriented environment
  • Enforce Lean Systems (5S, Gemba Walks, reducing waste), etc.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, conduct safety talks, and address hazards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of JHSC Certification Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of slitting manufacturing or production leadership, specifically in operations or machine handling, is required.
  • Expertise in slitting machines, material handling, and quality control.
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Working Conditions:

  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Indoor industrial environment with independent and team-based tasks
  • Operate cell phones, tablets, computers, measuring devices, cranes, and forklifts

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $111,000 to $177,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $124,300 to $198,800. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Sr Manager, Master Data

The Senior Manager, Master Data is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the strategy, governance, and operations of master data across all Saint-Gobain North America business units.  This role ensures consistency and integrity of master data across systems and processes, while managing a team of data professionals and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data quality initiatives, leverage contemporary technologies and support business objectives.

This position will:

  • Define and execute enterprise-wide master data management (MDM) strategies, roadmaps, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Oversee data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability across assigned data domains
  • Work closely with business units, IT, and data stewards to align master data practices with organizational goals and ensure seamless data integration across systems
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers, analysts and master data specialists providing guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage relationship with offshore service provider and other external vendors supporting related processes to ensure adherence to critical service levels

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data, Finance, or equivalent experience in the required field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive professional experience, with a strong focus on building and deploying Data Management business programs

R&D Manager Post-Applied & Commercial Roofing

CertainTeed Commercial Roofing is seeking a motivated R&D Manager to join their team and oversee the R&D portfolio for commercial roofing and post-applied building envelope products.

The R&D Manager will focus on new product developments, product enhancements and raw material qualifications. They will also provide scientific leadership to direct reports, colleagues, and associates within Saint-Gobain. The incumbent will balance business objectives by managing R&D projects through a rigorous stage-gate process to maintain alignment with company goals. Additionally, keeping up with emerging scientific literature that could benefit company products and processes while engaging with the external technical community to guide innovation. The R&D Manager may lead a team of 5–15 members, including Research Engineers and Research Engineering Assistants. Through close collaboration with IP Attorneys and key business leaders, the R&D Manager will strategically manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio.

Essential Functions

  • Manage full business project portfolio, driving projects and project teams.
  • Effectively leads cross functional teams by managing (either directly or indirectly) others to execute and deliver project objectives. Works closely with product management, operations, quality and codes/compliance.
  • Manage IP portfolio, competitive landscape and provide guidance to technical and business team.
  • Develop and strengthen R&D team, knowledge base, capabilities.
  • Stay on top of new developments in scientific theory, raw materials and processes that may have application for Company products and processes.

Responsabilités :

Sous la direction du responsable qualité de l’usine Lasalle, vos missions englobent la réalisation d'audits et d'inspections de produits finis en retenu, pour identifier et résoudre tout problème de qualité. Vous aurez comme principales responsabilités :

 

  • Traiter les retenues : inspecter les lots non-conformes, rédiger les rapports d’audits des palettes, faire les recommandations et préconisations des événements, diriger les mouvements de lots, comptabiliser le triage. Gérer l'inventaire des formulaires de retenues et préparer les analyses mensuelles.
  • Participer aux analyses de problèmes qualité (internes, plaintes). Mesurer et assurer le suivi qualité. Réaliser des tests de propriétés physiques (déchirure hors-norme et autres).
  • Superviser les activités de conseil : sensibiliser les différentes équipes aux exigences qualité. Assurer une présence sur le plancher de production, et collecter des échantillons a l’entrepôt et/ou à l’extérieur.
  • Collaborer avec de département Formation pour enseigner aux nouveaux ouvriers sur les pratiques qualité et les bonnes procédures si nécessaire. Établir des rapports réguliers dans le but d'informer la direction qualité.
  • Participer à la première rencontre Production et collaborer à l'implantation d'actions correctives et préventives. Garantir la fiabilité, la performance et l'évolution du système d'information qualité
  • Valider la qualité et l’expédition des échantillons pour les auditeurs extérieurs (FM/UL).
  • Participer aux tests spéciaux, aux nouveaux projets et à leurs réunions et ainsi qu’assurer une présence sur le plancher de production durant ces essais. Communiquer avec la Distribution et R&D.
  • Effectuer la tournée matinale pour distribution des formulaires entre départements.et tenir informé le superviseur qualité des déviations.
  • Assurer la maintenance des équipements (golfcart, etc.) et le bon ordre de fonctionnement.
