Environmental Cleaning Operator - Manufacturing, Life Sciences - 3rd Shift

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Shift: 3rd

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; 11:00 PM -7:30 AM

Pay: $16.50/hour, once the training period is complete. $1.00/hour shift premium.

The position will be involved with maintaining cleanroom environmental control, plant safety and environmental initiatives. Arrive to work at scheduled time and accurately perform and document services to established standards and procedures, including cleanroom gowning and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Ensure the Production facility is maintained at defined standards. Perform and document routine and non-routine inspection and cleaning tasks per standards and procedures and related cleanroom maintenance activities.
Efficiently prepare supplies and cleaning, disinfectant, and rinse solutions daily for production jobs, while effectively communicating with department leads to meet required facility cleaning and disinfection frequencies. Effectively maintain inventory control of required environmental cleaning components and supplies. Promote a safe working environment that complies with proper use of PPE, proper disposal of waste solutions, report incidents and participate in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

Utilize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and applicable log sheets to perform and document all tasks to the standards and procedures established by Quality Department. Common tasks include:
1. Perform cleanroom gowning
2. Prepare and use approved cleanroom cleaning agents, disinfectants and cleaning equipment
3. Replenish supplies in gowning rooms
4. Sweep, mop, vacuum and/or scrub floors using brooms, mops, floor scrubber and vacuum cleaners
5. Clean and disinfect, using mopping or wiping methods as designated, flat surfaces, floors, walls, doors, windows, cleaning equipment, tables, chairs, etc.
6. Clean and disinfect by wipe down shelving racks, product containers, etc.
7. Using Good Documentation Practices, complete applicable log sheets.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; required.
  • 1-2 years of Custodial, janitorial, or cleaning service; preferred.
  • Friendly and Professional – able to deal with production constraints while cleaning is being performed; required.

Primary Functions:

  • Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area
  • General housecleaning of the work area
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules
  • Able to understand and apply all safety procedures
  • Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Trailer Loading operations
  • Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures
  • Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs
  • Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders
  • Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas

Les responsabilités

  • Traiter plusieurs paies horaires conformément aux lois fédérales et provinciales, aux conventions collectives applicables, et veiller au respect des contrôles internes.
  • Préparer les paies et les calculs spéciaux aux fins du traitement des paies.
  • Superviser la paie des employés horaires et salariés pour les usines syndiquées et non syndiquées, et assurer la liaison avec les administrateurs d’usine et les centres de distribution afin de fournir du soutien et de téléverser les données de temps et de présence d’UKG vers PeopleSoft.
  • Gérer et mettre à jour les horaires et les présences des changements contractuels pour les horaires UKG et les rotations d'équipes et vérifier l'exactitude et la mise en œuvre des changements de configuration.
  • Préparer les entrées de journal de fin de mois et passer en revue les provisions mensuelles au besoin.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les contrôleurs d’usine concernant l’incidence sur les écarts de main-d’œuvre et fournir le soutien nécessaire au besoin.
  • Effectuer les rapprochements mensuels du grand livre général liés à la paie au besoin.
  • Traiter des relevés d'emploi (RE) pour les congés, les licenciements et les retraites.
  • Traiter les demandes de paiement liées aux cotisations REER, aux saisies sur salaire et aux cotisations syndicales.
  • Assurer la déclaration aux organismes provinciaux de santé et sécurité au travail et préparer les déclarations annuelles dans l’ensemble des provinces.
  • Répondre aux demandes des employés concernant les détails et les calculs de paiement.
  • Surveiller les paiements d'invalidité de courte durée conformément aux conventions collectives et aux politiques, en s'assurant que les modalités de paiement sont respectées.
  • Calculer et superviser le paiement des indemnités de départ, des compléments de congé de maternité, de maintien du salaire et des avantages imposables, conformément aux politiques de l’entreprise et à la législation gouvernementale.

CE TRAVAIL VOUS CONVIENT-IL?

  • Diplôme d’études postsecondaires en administration des affaires, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Inscription ou certification au programme de Professionnel en conformité de la paie (PCP) ou équivalent, avec expérience.
  • Minimum cinq (5) années d'expérience en paie et en comptabilité générale dans un environnement manufacturier complexe.
  • Le poste requiert la connaissance de l'anglais de base en raison de la nécessité de communiquer régulièrement avec d’autres employés de l’entreprise travaillant au siège social en Ontario ou dans d’autres régions anglophones et aux États-Unis. Technical Leadership & Training

  • Train operators, technicians, and team members on new processes, configurations, and safety practices.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and empower staff in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) efforts.

Communication & Reporting

Requirements:

  • This position requires the skills associated with a Master of Science Degree in Polymer Processing, Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline plus 0–2 years of relevant industry experience (including internships, co‑ops, or thesis/project work). or the skills associated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and 2-4 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical, statistical and root cause analysis skills a must
  • Experience with solvent mixing, coating, lamination, and converting processes and equipment is required.
  • Past experience with SPC and familiarity with 5S, Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with customers are necessary.

Responsabilités:

  • Charger les bobines d'acier et de papier sur des dérouleurs à l'aide d'une grue.
  • Ajuster, serrer le dérouleur et coupez les sangles sur le serpentin.
  • Guider l'acier dans les rouleaux à l'aide de commandes.
  • Activer la machine à l'aide du panneau de commande et éliminez les blocages.
  • Installer, ajuster les rouleaux et effectuer le contrôle de la qualité pour vérifier la conformité du produit.
  • Rassembler les produits, les attacher en paquets et procéder à leur identification.
  • Préparer les rapports de production et de sécurité pour le superviseur.
