The Injection Molding Setup Technician will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot injection molding machines to ensure efficient production processes. This role involves installing molds, adjusting machine settings, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and production standards.

Mold Setup & Changeovers:

Install and remove molds according to production schedules.
Ensure proper mold alignment, clamping, and connection of auxiliary equipment.
Perform mold changes efficiently to minimize downtime.

Machine Operation & Troubleshooting:

Set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) for optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to molding defects, cycle times, and process inconsistencies.
Work with maintenance teams to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.

Quality Control:

Perform first-piece inspections and monitor production runs for defects.
Make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality meets specifications.
Document and report any deviations or corrective actions taken.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Identify and report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to improve efficiency.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest optimizations.
Train and assist operators in proper machine usage and troubleshooting techniques.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate (preferred).
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.
  • 3+ years experience in injection molding plastics processing; experience in set-up and operation of injection molds and auxiliary equipment.
  • Experience using inspection equipment and following quality procedures.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and program equipment.
  • Good vision to read written materials and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $28.00 to $38.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $64,064 to $86,944. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Maintenance Mechanic

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Maintenance Mechanic will support the Norwood, MA, CertainTeed production line, manufacturer of asphalt roofing shingles. The mechanic will select and properly use all hand tools and stationary power tools, including power saws, welders, etc., as well as diagnose and repair most plant equipment (pumps, gear boxes, rollers, bearings, motors, conveyors, etc.).

Work location: Norwood, MA

Shifts Available: 2nd shift Monday-Friday (Mandatory Sundays) 2PM-10PM and 3rd Shift Monday-Friday (Mandatory Sundays) 11PM-7AM

Compensation: Starting at $33.38/hr (+ shift differential)

90-day training 7AM-7PM

Annual bonus incentive

Sign-on Bonus: $4,000 to be paid out at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months of employment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Metal fabrication/welding
  • Change out worn motors, gear reducers, bearings, etc.

Lead Operator - 1st shift

The Production Lead will assist with the development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WMC) projects, production, processing methods and controls while supporting operations and mentoring personnel. Will provide leadership in the implementation and support of Plant Database systems. This position will assist on all maintenance repairs and services. They also would provide assistance with the day-to-day training of personnel, while being able to address and evaluate any unforeseen tasks that may arise with little or no guidance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following; other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsibilities include overseeing operations, ensuring employees are working safely and Corporate policies are being followed, working with operators to assist with production problems and that a quality product is being produced.
  • Assume responsibility for safety excellence, safety inspections, safety audits, assist in Accident Investigation/Corrective Action.
  • Will be responsible for production goals being met for that shift.
  • Must also be able to make scheduling and other decisions when necessary.
  • Responsible for production schedules and direct employee’s work as required. Work closely with customer service maintenance, production scheduling, Q.C., shipping, EHS, product stewardship,  and materials management.  Key player in yield improvement, throughput and quality programs.  Participants in IDR and RMA meeting.  Maintain inventory accuracy and timeliness of paper work.  Operate production equipment in the department when necessary.
  • Perform duties of any position in the PSAT Department, such as Oven Operator, Slitter, Packer, Mixer, Re-Roll/Inspector and Etcher.
  • Perform visual quality inspection for defects of material during slitting and remove if required.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Log production records into the computer (Factivity, SPC, QAD)
  • Performs typical machine shop operations to support the manufacturing floor.
  • Detects and reports defective materials, questionable situations, and questionable conditions to the shift supervisor / department manager.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance as well as participate as a member of team.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must have a strong commitment to working safely and enforcing safety policies.
  • Maintain a 5S acceptable work area.
  • Housekeeping duties as needed/directed.
  • Support Visual Workplace and LEAN initiatives.

Education:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required.

Skills/Experience:

  • One to Two years in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Prior Lead experience or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
  • Computer skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to learn various other systems.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Relevant Field
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office tools and CRM’s
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales or operational role in construction and concrete

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent bachelor’s degree in Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Science Management/Construction Management
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Relevant Field

Position Summary

The HR Manager, under the direction of the VP of Operations, People, and Culture, will primarily be responsible for researching any new developments within the human resources field and implementing changes where needed. This position will anticipate and identify emerging issues, trends and problems that affect organizational policies and programs. This role will also identify and address issues that affect the overall health of the organization including morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance to all levels of the organization;
  • Maintain both the employee benefits program as well as the RRSP program;
  • Ensure policy books are up to date, adding and revising policies as needed;
  • Oversee the STD and LTD process, liaising between the employees and the adjudicators;
  • Maintain the HRIS system including company property, training, documents, and education;
  • Oversee payroll filings for hourly payroll and backup as needed for salary payroll;
  • Send out company wide-announcements including new hires, resignations, and any organization-wide announcements.

Workforce Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Human Resources Coordinators, ensuring that all Agway locations are supported and HR programs are standardized across locations;
  • Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that HR policies and procedures align with Health and Safety policies and procedures;
  • Liaise with the Talent Acquisition team and ensure that all open positions are identified and posted;
  • Analyze retention rates and continuously look for ways to improve staff engagement;
  • Identify emerging trends and legislation and implement programs and procedures to address them;
  • Calculate and prepare termination packages and conduct termination meetings when required;
  • Draft disciplinary notes such as written warnings, suspension letters, etc.;
  • Utilize 3-month check-ups and exit interviews to identify any employee suggestions or concerns and bring them forward to the respective department managers;
  • Ensure that offer letters stay current with changing legal requirements;
  • Ensure that we are staying ahead of workplace succession needs;
  • Keep the pay equity program up-to-date;
  • Review organization pay scales on an ongoing basis.

Training and Development Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate logs of organization-wide training including policy training, H&S training, employee-specific training;
  • Train and develop supervisory and management-level staff on an ongoing basis utilizing formal bi-annual training and quarterly supervisor development sessions;
  • Explore opportunities to outsource training where feasible;
  • Train all employees annually on all policy changes from prior year;
  • Develop and sustain a formal onboarding program for all levels of employees;
  • Explore employee-specific opportunities for training with a focus on broadening the in-house skillset.

Additional Duties

  • Cultivate a work environment committed to health, safety, and wellness;
  • Work with the VP of Operations and the HR/H&S Coordinator to keep health and safety at the forefront of everyone’s minds;
  • Assist with the return-to-work program for WSIB and STD-related absences.

Job Duties

  • Work safely, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed;
  • Handle all load manifest and shipping paperwork and post load manifests daily;
  • Assist Logistics Coordinator in all administrative functions of the job;
  • Provide coverage for the Logistics Coordinator function for vacations, sicknesses, and other absences from the workplace;

  • Liaise with our truck leasing companies on fleet details, problems, and switchovers;
  • Liaise with the fleet tracking software provider regarding the onboard truck systems and address any issues that may be identified;
  • Arrange all paperwork for the evening loading shift;
  • Inform the Inventory Control team when returned material has come back on the trucks;
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Operator will be responsible for successfully operating equipment, evaluating samples, and compiling information and reports. The list of duties includes, but is not limited to:

SAFETY

  • Always support a safe working environment in all areas of the plant and with all employee interactions.
  • Immediately, correct or report unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution.

SUPPORT PLANT OPERATIONS

  • Daily operations include, but aren’t limited to, safety, quality, housekeeping, operations, maintenance, material handling, and inventory management.
