Essentials of Sales Development Program - Associate Territory Manager (MD Area)

*This role is remote, but the Associate Territory Manager must be commutable to the MD / Northern VA market

Today is an exciting time to be in Sales. The Essentials of Sales (EOS) Associate Territory Manager (ATM) will be responsible for establishing contact and coordinating activities with distributors, installation contractors, builders, architects, and specifiers. The Associate Territory Manager will also assist the Regional/District Sales Manager and Territory Managers in meeting sales goals while familiarizing the remodeling and new construction community with CertainTeed products and services. Additionally, this individual will become a resource of information for sales, marketing, and manufacturing in product needs, development, and application. This ATM position will be based in the Richmond, VA market.

Salary: 60,000

Hours: 8-5pm Monday-Friday, weekends as needed for events

Program Summary:

Our 18-month program provides participants a full-time sales development role, where participants will increase their sales skills and their exposure to CertainTeed. Participants are provided with time in the field, hands on learning, and full access to Exterior Product Sales (EPS) leaders for networking opportunities designed to accelerate career development. These trainings and travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. EOS Associate Territory Manager will support CertainTeed businesses in building strong relationships and portfolios of loyal customers through the development of new and existing customers. They will proactively promote CertainTeed products, systems, and programs. They will gain a knowledge base of all CertainTeed products, systems, programs, and promotions used to sell and promote the brand to potential customers throughout the U.S. Representatives will also be expected to collaborate with the managers and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are constantly being met.

Development Program Completion

Upon the successful completion of the program, the EOS Associate Territory Manager will work with HR, the Sales Training Manager, and Sales Leadership to explore available opportunities within one of our 12 sales regions in the U.S. for a Territory Manager role, or other roles within Saint-Gobain. Those not able to find another role at the end of a successful completion of the program may qualify for a completion bonus if eligibility requirements are met.

  • BA/BS Degree required.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a sales or consultative selling position.
  • Must have proven planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • A flexibility for travel or relocation.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $57,100 to $85,600 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $ $62,810 to $ $94,160. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Automation and Controls Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Automation and Control Systems Engineer will be expected to design, program, simulate and test control all automation systems for production and support equipment.  The engineer will be responsible for offering automation design input and assisting in digitization efforts within the facility, either through infrastructure, programming, or design.  Basic PLC programming, PID control systems, VFDs, SCADAs, etc should prove no issue to the ACE.  Future Factory initiatives in the plant will work directly with the Senior ACE, with the ACE offering routine assistance where required.  The person in this position should also possess a fair understanding of basic IT systems, networking, IoT, IT troubleshooting, and IT repair interactions with Corporate IT resources.  Understanding and assisting in IT system management and upgrades is an essential aspect of this role.  He/she will offer troubleshooting assistance on all electrical and/or controls equipment in an effort to resolve issues and gather data. 

The Automation and Control Systems Engineer role requires a collaborative team working style and able to work with many other work styles including management, plant operators, supervisors, and additional engineers; engineer must be self-motivated; able to work with minimum supervision; possesses a skill set that will enable and drive continuous improvement; and work to transition automation into the framework of the business.  This critical position is expected to drive a cultural change within the plant with regard to automation. The person in this position must recognize the value automation brings to the business and will work to promote it in a manner that is well received.  This position will assist in setting standards for the replacement of control equipment, capital investment analysis, return on investment, and learn additional project management skills.

The position focuses heavily on the Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 initiatives which are designed to improve collection of and access to industrial data to improve efficiency, reliability, profitability, and customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a technical engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering or Automation preferred).

Education should include formal training on ControlLogix PLC’s, Allen Bradley Drive Systems, Siemens PLC’s, varied furnace control systems, machine installation, robotic automation and application, SCADAs, and IGNITION.

3-5 years of experience in an automation and controls role in manufacturing.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect automotive glass as instructed to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
  • Handling and applying chemicals directly to the glass in specific areas
  • Allocating components on glass surface according to specifications, specifically: Canopy, Backlite and Windshield Three sided molding; Backlite lower molding.
    - Training others on process assembly method
    - Try new process and collaborate in productivity and industrialization improvements, which means try new tools and different process flow.
  • Adhering according to specifications
  • Packaging finished goods in large pallets, wooden boxes, cardboard boxes or other standard packaging
  • Utilizing all established PPE at all times
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; informing supervisors and team leads when machinery needs repairs; and adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.

Hourly Rate: $17.00 hourly

Production Operator I

In this hands-on Production Operator role, you will operate all production equipment, manage scrap, and maintain high productivity levels at the CertainTeed Gypsum Finishing Corner Production Plant in Social Circle, Georgia. You will also sustain a positive team environment and a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Typical Job Duties

  • Run efficient production lines, problem-solve to ensure products meet quality specifications, including checking product and equipment frequently, and make immediate adjustments to lines when needed.
  • Set-up, start, run, shutdown, clean, and troubleshoot extruders and other production equipment.
  • Build boxes, maintain printers, track tools and equipment, and ensure all needed supplies are available.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. all logbooks and line paperwork), read and understand specifications for all products, grade products, and document all changes to the lines as they occur.
  • Keep lines and production floor clean, free of debris, and stocked for the incoming shift.
  • Consistently and effectively communicate with all other team members and ask for help when needed.
  • Participate in and promote safety, quality, continuous improvement events and ideas.
  • Identify opportunities and help find new or better solutions.
  • Working Safe. Follows procedures, checklists, and safety protocols.
  • Required to carry radio while on shift at all times (including breaks).

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • LOTO trained (Lock Out/Tag Out).
  • Knowledge and ability to use appropriate quality inspection tools to ensure quality and reproducibility.
  • Able to perform warehouse checks.

Our shift schedules are fixed with current openings on the following shift:

  • Dayshift Shift: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6:30 AM  to 7:00 PM

Manufacturing Operator

The Process Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining plasma reactors and related equipment to produce high-quality dissociated zircon safely. Key duties include identifying and screening zircon sand, transferring and processing it through plasma reactors, and ensuring safe and efficient reactor operation. What you’ll do:

  • Maintain awareness of amendments to the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
  • Assist in conducting risk analysis, hazard analysis, and physical demand analysis.
  • Responsible for monitoring adherence to safety programs by employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Assist in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating safety programs.
  • Conduct safety training/talks, safety observations, inspections, investigations, and audits, and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist in developing policies, processes, programs, standards, and safe work practices and updating manuals, and training materials
  • Coach and mentor employees on safety practices.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct safety training for managers, supervisors, employees, and contractors as required.
  • Research occupational health and safety information, compare current practices, and suggest the best practices for implementation.
  • Track all corrective and preventive actions and ensure that they are completed promptly.
  • Assist in meeting the requirements of the COR/ISO 45001/WSIB excellence program.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • 3-5 years of experience in occupational health and safety in an industrial establishment, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the OHSA and some understanding of workers' compensation legislation.
  • Safety designations such as CRSP or CHSC are considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Pay: $16.50/hr. (after completing the training period). $1.00/hr. shift premium for 2nd shift.

The Assembly Operator will safely assemble medical and biopharmaceutical manifolds according to the detailed drawings, using various assembly tools. Must perform dimensional inspections to ensure product is assembled in accordance with the provided routing notes. The Assembly Operator must also visually inspect product to ensure parts are clean and free of any dirt, hair, or particulate. This Operator must also record in-process inspections and verifications using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Must have good attention to detail, and good hand/eye coordination.

Safely operate finishing (assembly & packaging) equipment & tools with limited supervision. Proficient at QAD system, accurate data entry, material & supplies reconciliation, and packet closure. Follow pertinent SOP and MOP guidelines, inspect product, and complete paperwork with limited supervision.

 

Job Functions:

  • Read and interpret written work processes, manufacturing aides, models, and basic prints.
  • Safely produce quality manufactured parts using basic troubleshooting skills with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of general computer programs and current industrial technology including QAD, MQ1, and FACTIVITY
  • Perform designated job functions adhering to standards as defined by SOP’s, MOP’s, ISO standards, & GMP
  • Proficient in the safe use of power and hand tools for defined processes

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; required.
  • 2 Years of Machine Operating Experience; preferred.
  • Good work ethic (both safety and quality). Efficient and willingness to perform all required work; required.
  • Attention to detail; required. 
  • Good eye/hand coordination, good manual dexterity; required.

The Packaging Operator will safely ensure parts are assembled correctly, referencing detailed drawings, attribute specifications, and routing notes. Must perform dimensional inspections to ensure product is in accordance with the provided detailed drawings and routing notes, using micrometers, calipers, tape measure, and other measuring tools. The Packaging Operator must also visually inspect product to ensure parts are clean and free of any dirt, hair, or particulate before packaging. Once product is packaging, the Packaging Operator will use a heat sealer to ensure the product is properly packaged. This Operator must also record in-process inspections and verifications using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Job Functions:

  • Package quality silicone manufactured parts and assemblies while using basic troubleshooting skills with little supervision.
  • Read and interpret written work processes, manufacturing aides, models, and basic prints.
  • Proficient in the use of general computer programs and current industrial technology including QAD, MQ1, and FACTIVITY.
  • Perform designated job functions adhering to standards as defined by SOP’s, MOP’s, ISO standards, & GMP.
  • Proficient in the safe use of power and hand tools for defined processes.
  • Able to perform general math equations, knowledge of metric and standard systems, complete accurate documentation, multi-task, and stand for multiple hours.
