Team Structure

The Vice-President, Marketing and Product Management will lead a dynamic group comprised of Marketing teams, System Solutions and Product Management. This role will also collaborate with various departments, including operations, R&D, logistics, sales, finance, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business; MBA preferred.
  • Requires 15+ years of progressive product management, marketing, supply chain, and new product development experience with previous P&L responsibility.
  • Proven experience in marketing and product management, preferably in the building products industry.

Customer Experience Associate

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position will be required to work on a 10:30am-7pm EST. schedule M-F.

The Customer Experience Associate (CEA) will drive, gather and support customer feedback and loyalty creation across all CertainTeed businesses. The incumbent will be responsible for gathering voice of customer data and insights through multiple platforms as well as generating sales leads to the business. The position will implement and execute a strategy for data insights and fostering relationships with customers to gain a competitive advantage in the market. The position will involve collecting customer feedback, answering product and program questions, and proactively working on promoting the business. This position is intended to be flexible in hours.

  • Ensure customers receive a “best in class” customer experience by answering product questions, through inbound calls, emails, chats, NPS and outbound survey calling. These calls range from installation questions to color preferences and run across the audience spectrum of homeowners to professionals.
  • Proactively promote CertainTeed products and identify opportunities for business development and sales opportunities. Knowledge base and strong communication of all CertainTeed products and promotions.
  • Participate in best practice input around knowledge sharing and enhancements to the team for better efficiency in call center.
  • Capture verbatim customer insights and data through platforms such as Salesforce. Proactively gather insights and pain points of each touchpoint.
  • Support all CertainTeed business in building strong relationships and portfolios of loyal customers and prospecting customers.
  • Collaborate with the Managers, CX team, staff at plant level and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are constantly being met.

Whether you're starting your career or looking to transition into the manufacturing field, our 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program represents the first step in your journey with us. This program is part of a full-time, permanent position and supports the first 18 months of your career at Saint-Gobain.

Program Overview:

Our 18-month development program places participants in a full-time operational role, giving them the opportunity to strengthen their manufacturing skills while gaining exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Each participant is assigned to a manufacturing site for 18 months and travels quarterly to other Saint-Gobain facilities across North America. Participants spend 80% of their time on local site projects and 20% on EOM program activities.

Many of these activities are designed to accelerate career development and long-term professional growth, including virtual and classroom training, hands-on learning experiences, and a wide range of networking opportunities. Participation in training sessions and quarterly events is mandatory to complete the program. Participants are expected to attend all activities unless exceptional circumstances arise.

While start dates may vary, the EOM program officially begins each July and concludes 18 months later, in December of the following year. After completing the program, EOM engineers work closely with our dedicated HR team to identify an operational role at one of our 160 sites across North America. While placement is not guaranteed, most graduates of the EOM program are able to choose from multiple opportunities within Saint-Gobain.

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

The role duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the location. Some examples of specific responsibilities are:

 

  • Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
  • Supporting capital expenditure projects/ new equipment installations.
  • Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
  • Implementing new automation processes at the site.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Every three months, spend approximately one week at a different plant in North America with the rest of your EOM Cohort—learning about our businesses, products, and operations and building strong camaraderie. Navigate through large and diverse business units alongside a dedicated mentor, who shares knowledge and advice essential to success and career development.

Finishing Operator I

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Finishing Operator I position sets up and operates various types of machines or hand tools for multiple grinding/finishing operations. Product handled may be in forms ranging from initial shaping to final finishing.

  • Uses product-finishing knowledge to assess appearance, weights, finish, and dimensions against specifications.
  • Handles manufactured products including Abrasives wheels, Abrasive Segments, Ceramic finish, and Kiln furniture.
  • Uses CNC equipment and precision instruments and equipment, (i.e., vernier calipers, height gauges, protractors, comparators, plug gauges, dial indicators) to attain accurate dimensions and sometimes tight, high precision tolerances.
  • May use stationary equipment such as Amni, V-sider, shape wheel chuck, sandblasting, equipment speed tester, laser scribe, cut-saw, water jet, and balancer. Loads or unloads material or work piece manually or with hoists into machinery.
  • Studies blueprints, work orders, machine instructions and applies finishing experience to determine product specifications, tool/equipment requirements or operational sequences. Works within tight tolerances.
  • Moves machine controls to position and sets up work pieces and adjusts machines for pre-selected or self-determined operational settings. Observes machine operations to detect any problems; make necessary adjustments to correct problems.
  • Verifies quality of finished work through inspection, comparison measurement, or speed testing electronically.
  • Supports World Class Manufacturing activities including autonomous work teams.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent experience required.
  • Should possess knowledge of blueprint reading, trade mathematics in computing and verifying dimensions in the planning, layout, and final dimension checking process.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 months' work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.
  • Technical school training, apprenticeship program, or equivalent work experience necessary in operating CNC machines and other related machines may be required.

Primary Functions:

Responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient traffic flow throughout the Shakopee Roofing Plant by coordinating the inbound and outbound logistics traffic. Responsible operating both weigh scales and preparing shipping documents according to CertainTeed’s Logistics Standard Operating Procedures using the BPCS/SAP System Platforms.  The Traffic Coordinator has a critical role in our Emergency Action Plans including Fire, Medical and Weather preparedness and response.

  • Minimum High School Education
  • Good working knowledge of Warehouse/Shipping policies, procedures, operations and general transportation processes.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency with internal computer systems including SAP and Microsoft Office. SAP Experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to multi-task in a very fast paced environment
  • Excellent Attendance Practices Required
  • Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs and positive demeanor.
  • This position is a Mon-Fri night shift position 11p-7a (may be required to work 7p-7a for vacation coverage.

Production Supervisor II

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Production Supervisor II manages the daily activities of production personnel and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the production team. The Production Supervisor II monitors employee productivity by providing useful feedback and training, and sets employees' performance goals that comply with the organization’s plans and vision. They consistently and equitably enforce plant rules, holding employees accountable for all facets of their jobs. The Production Supervisor II is held accountable to ensure production activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, compliance with legal and company policies, and procedures in a manner consistent with SGC CertainTeed LLC Principles of Conduct and Action.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides coaching to Production Supervisor I
  • Directly supervises the hourly production employees on the safe and efficient operation of the production line equipment and processes. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance to all safety, environmental and health policies, procedures, and practices
  • Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
  • Oversees the training of production employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to production.
  • Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas.
  • Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective sites pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of production experience required
  • Previous supervisory experience required, in a union environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required, proficiency in SAP preferred

The Mine Office Administrator performs a variety of administrative functions in support of the Mine Manager/Superintendent, Human Resources, and staff. Overall

  • Process bi-weekly payroll.

People Functions

  • Maintains a filing system, prepares hourly time sheets, and maintains the UKG time management system.
  • Track vacation, attendance, and disciplinary logs.
  • Create and submit Employee Change Notice (ECN) forms in a timely manner for all employee changes.
  • Assist with HR events.

Office Management Functions

  • Monitor and be responsible for office supply inventory.
  • Generate Open PO Report
  • SAP PO Processor for Mine Department

Other

  • Backs up the plant office administrator when needed.
