WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Purpose of Position:

To manufacture the highest quality product, according to Company and Customer’s specifications as efficiently and economically as possible.

  • This position will be 2nd or 3rd shift after training and may be required to work a different shift pattern from time to time as the activity changes.

Major Responsibilities – Ongoing Tasks

  1. Operate the following with verbal or written instructions:
    1. Hydrogen Welding Torch
    2. Fiberizing Machines and Winding Chairs
    3. First Twist Machine
    4. Twist and Ply Machine
    5. Drying Ovens
    6. Roving Machine
  2. Perform some minor adjustments and/or maintenance tasks
  3. Responsible for the cleanliness of the equipment
  4. Measure product count and adjust as required to ensure product is within specification
  5. Visually inspect the manufactured product to check if it meets the quality requirements.
  6. Fill out Production Reports
  7. Responsible for maintaining the shop cleanliness
  8. Responsible for working within the shop safety procedures
  9. Responsible for actively participating in the quality systems
  10. Responsible for promoting and supporting the team concept
  11. Other tasks as assigned

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer skills for production data entry, required
  • QAD experience, a plus
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience with mixing/blending/pressing operations, preferred.

Shift Expeditor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What’s the job?

The Shift Expeditor is responsible for providing leadership and flexibility on the shift for the support functions of Supply Chain, Quality, and the Mii/Factory Plus reconciliation process. The Shift Expeditor’s job function is to work safely and efficiently following all plant policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe conditions, and ensuring all 6S standards are achieved. The Shift Expeditor is responsible for supporting group/plant objectives and the day-to-day proper processing of raw materials and finished goods through the production cycle to meet internal and external customer demands. This includes shift safety; modification to the shift schedule as needed, troubleshooting/coordinating all shift issues (with the understanding of when to escalate to functional leaders), picking, staging, cycle counting, and putting away raw materials, along with receiving and putting away finished goods (FG’s). The Shift Expeditor will be a Mii/Factory Plus super-user and will be responsible for providing support, training, and reconciling discrepancies in production reporting and warehousing during the shift. As part of the plants lean initiatives, is responsible for providing plant support in production or other functions as needed.

Shift: 2nd shift 2:45PM-11:00PM (Monday-Friday)
Compensation: $24 to $26/hr

Responsibilities:

EHS and 6S

  • Demonstrates active preventive engagement in EHS through performing STOP Observations and safety/environmental reporting.
  • Ensures safe work environment in the plant.
  • Complies with all PPE requirements.

  • Will support and mentor other employees in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and other company standards.

Supply Chain, Quality, and Production

  • Facilitates and executes the timely and accurate delivery of materials to the production lines.
    • Responsible for accurate inventory management: receive and put away finished goods.
    • Responsible for picking and staging raw materials to and from the line: concentrates, compounded material, corrugate, regrind, and pallets.
      • Printing of production orders & verifying the BOM is correct.
    • Responsible for accurately weighing and labeling raw materials.
  • Responsible to be proficient with the following functions in the WMS System: receive, moves, inquiries, picks, transfers, and use WMS system to review transactions.
  • Responsible for maintaining a finished goods cycle count accuracy of at least 99.5%
  • Completes cycle counts of finished goods, raw materials, and stockroom.
  • Is trained to be the backup Quality Associate as needed. Trained to run X-rite, QC Calc, and Nitrogen Analyzer
  • Audits and ensures accuracy of Mii/Factory Plus throughout the shift.
  • Assist Production as needed (i.e., break coverage, carton erection, etc...)
  • Prints all labels for the shifts.
  • Livelink – basic user
  • Assists Production in grinding when needed; must be able to operate the grinding cell and clean out color grinders.
  • Assists with month end cycle counting for raw materials and stockroom.
  • Can safely, accurately, and efficiently unload rail cars, bulk trucks, and assist with LTL, UPS, and equipment deliveries.
  • Assists in daily tie-outs with Shift Supervisor
  • Assist in the loading of finished goods, raw materials, recyclables, and regrind.
  • Drafts training materials such as One Point Lessons (OPL’s) and Risk Assessments
  • Knowledge of the rail unloading system: check measurements, switch silos, clean out compartments.

WCM and Continuous Improvement

  • Is proactive in recommending and implementing solutions and corrective actions.
  • Looks for ways to reduce waste and cost savings initiatives.

Equipment

  • Is trained/proficient on the following equipment:
  • Certified on powered industrial trucks required for position.

Electrician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining electrical and instrumentation components for manufacturing, cloth finishing, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal reliability and uptime.

This includes:

  • Responding to service calls and call-ins to support production operations

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

The Electrician is expected to have a strong understanding of, and hands-on experience with, a wide range of electrical systems, theories, best practices, safety protocols, and controls. This includes knowledge and experience working with general electrical infrastructure such as motor starters, lighting circuits, power distribution equipment, and industrial control systems. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), specifically Rockwell Control Logix, is essential in this role.

Experience with variable speed AC and DC drives and motors is required, along with knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems, including transmitters, control valves, control loops, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The role also involves monitoring and controlling process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and pH.

Strong analytical troubleshooting skills are necessary, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and utilize troubleshooting manuals effectively. The Electrician should be capable of diagnosing complex issues and implementing solutions to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Union Local 236 is required for this position. Shift assignment will be determined based on seniority at the time of hire and will either be second shift (Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) or third shift (Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).

The starting pay for this position is $39.59 per hour, provided the candidate holds a valid Electrician Journeyworker card and/or a state electrician license, along with the required years of relevant experience.

Candidates who do not meet these qualifications and are hired will be required to enroll in the local apprenticeship program, which includes both on-the-job training and academic coursework through a local accredited institution.

The company may credit prior professional experience and academic credentials toward the completion of the apprenticeship requirements.

Additional duties of the Electrician include:

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, squatting, carrying, and stooping
  • Read and understand technical instructions and schematics, procedures, and equipment manuals
  • Accurately read and record maintenance and operational data
  • Climb stairs and work from ladders, scaffolds, mobile lifts, and platforms with appropriate fall arrest devices
  • Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, hand dolly, hoists, heavy equipment, skyjack, boom lifts, etc.)
  • Work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces as needed

Education and Skills Requirements

  • An Electrician Journeyman card and/or state electrician license is preferred
  • A minimum of four years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Advanced education and experience in electrical/instrumentation systems is preferred
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to temperature changes, dust, odors, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical hazards. Required PPE includes safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and bump caps.

This physically demanding role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, working up to 12-hour shifts, performing repetitive tasks, and operating in confined spaces.

Pre-employment requirements include a physical capabilities test, respirator fit check, and drug screening.

Regional Controller

  • Manage and develop a cohesive regional accounting team across multiple locations. This is to include goal and objective setting as well as the provision for appropriate training.

QA SR Technician

The Senior Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product compliance with internal and external quality standards. This position is responsible for final product approval, inspection, and performance evaluation using statistical tools and control charts. The technician supports continuous improvement initiatives, maintains quality documentation, calibrates equipment, and collaborates across departments to uphold ISO standards and drive process excellence. Flexibility in shift assignment, work schedule, and cross-functional accountability is required. Perform instrumental and visual analyses to determine the material being processed meets the required quality standards of the product specifications. Product/Process Inspection: Conduct inspections at various production stages to ensure compliance.

  • Perform process audits 
  • Monitor and report using the quality level of TW abrasives by random in-process inspections through the request of MFG, QA dept, Engineering, product management, customers and the sales force in all conversion operations. The use of assigned sampling tables may be required in certain situations to achieve an acceptable quality level from the inspection.
  • Auditing Complete Manufacturing Order Information, such as Operation/Production Wheels Reports, Manual Testing, FPI, Scrap, Bake Cycles, Check SPC data collection, and ensuring data is within specification.

Quality Management System / Testing Plan Execution: Follow established protocols to validate product quality.

  • Assist manufacturing organization in maintaining process controls or recommending procedural modifications to accomplish production and quality goals.
  • Perform sample inspection when requested of orders in-process,and finished goods products per established specifications. Complete the process of the Quality Testing Plan
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Quality Management System in all product specifications such as standard operating procedures for TW produced products, packaging procedures, and quality test lab procedures.
  • Monitor department reporting, ensuring its accuracy. Ensure maintenance of all appropriate records are directed, or in accordance with the records retention policy.

Performance Evaluation: Use Excel to analyze graphic control charts and statistical data.

  • Must maintain a working knowledge of the Statistical Process Control system and understand the following: Pareto charts, average, mean, X-chart, Control charts, moving range chart, and machine capability studies.

Equipment Calibration: Perform routine calibration of measurement and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Statistical Analysis: Apply basic statistical methods to interpret data and support decision-making.

Customer Service Orientation: Address quality concerns and provide timely feedback.

  • Must function and react to manufacturing needs as a support of this facility. The support may require assistance in making quality decisions about products or processes with manufacturing and quality management
  • Communicate with the making sites about high waste issues, unusual material defects, problems, etc.

Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities and support lean initiatives using tools like 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.

  • Control, and continuously improve, the quality of all operations and services performed in the department. Analyze deficiencies, identify opportunities, and implement changes necessary to reduce waste.
  • Encourage and facilitate the implementation of quality efforts through work teams and employee participation and motivation.
  • Assist in the development, communication, and achievement of quality goals and objectives, and their measurements.

Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Chain Planning Manager role combines leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring the planning function supports customer demand, production efficiency  and business goals. PSI Management

  • Owns PSI Process from end-to-end for one or multiple lines of business. This includes:
    • Provide functional support and direct supervision to Supply Chain Planner(s)
    • Own the production planning process for all products within lines of business, using SAP and other tools
    • Consolidate and analyze inputs from various stakeholders to create production plans.
    • Facilitate PSI meetings, driving alignment across stakeholders on production forecasts, supply constraints, and inventory targets.
    • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting 
    • Accountable for meeting product service levels, inventory investment, and production plan execution
  • Manages Inventory effectively:
    • Develop and measure the monthly finished goods inventory targets by plants
    • Ensures corrective action is taken at or in-between each planning cycle to meet inventory levels.
    • Leads the planning organization in the introduction and discontinuation of products
  • Ensures Service to customers and efficiency of the Supply Chain, including seamless communication:
    • Monitor KPIs and comes up with corrective actions
    • Escalates any issues to Planning Director

  • Owns KPIs driving planning performance for respective lines of business, including but not limited to:

  • Leads sensitivity analysis (what-if modeling) to measure impact of various demand and supply changes on the PSI Plan

Process Improvement
