Material Handler in the Wayne, NJ Plant.

10am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday

Scope: Maintain inventory of all assigned product. Pick, pack, and prepare product and necessary documentation for shipment, as specified by SOPs and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Unload/receive products, materials, and supplies from trucks according to SOPs, work instructions, and/or direction from the supervisor.
• Able to data entry customer paperwork into computer systems
• Process import/export documentation as required
• Receive work orders and move material to proper locations as instructed.
• Place finished product into inventory or ship to customer according to instructions on sales order paperwork.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and verify counts when directed by supervisor.
• Verify counts and proper part numbers and enter into computer system.
• Maintain first-in, first-out inventory rotation practice.
• Participate in physical inventory counts, according to SOP’s and as directed by supervisor.
• Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency, and safety.
• Generate receipt travelers from computer system and verify accuracy of information.
• File sales orders, copies of shipping memos, UPS daily log, and bills of lading.
• Responsible for sample production pulls for Applications customers as requested by Applications Team.
• Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and work area as scheduled or as needed.
• Maintain necessary records as required by SOP’s and work instructions.
• Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition (either product or process) to supervisor, or manager as required.
• Participate in self-development and training of others.
• Perform other related duties as required or as directed by supervisor, manager and/or lead person.
• Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.
• Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills – basic knowledge of excel and word
• Able to operate independently and as a part of a team.
• Basic command of the English language, written and verbal.
• Able to read and follow SOPs, labels, and instructions.
• Mathematical abilities necessary to fulfill requirements of position.
• Saint-Gobain “Certified” forklift operator.
• Proficient in department specific machines.

Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $26 per hour.  This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position is $53,500 to $65,400.  Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst supports core sales operations functions for the CertainTeed Exterior Products Sales team. This individual is responsible for the design, analysis, and administration of sales incentive programs, with a focus on aligning compensation structures to business goals and driving high performance. Our primary platform for managing sales incentives is Salesforce SPIFF—experience with this tool is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging sales data to uncover insights and make recommendations that influence sales behavior in alignment with organizational strategy. Sales Compensation Support

• Design and evaluate sales compensation plans that align with business strategy and drive desired behaviors.

• Train and support sales teams on plan understanding and compensation tools.

• Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for timely shipment. Pick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy by picking the correct number and type of product.
• Compare internal orders with packing lists. Verifying/Receiving/inspecting and signing for shipment and courier deliveries. Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriate locations.
• Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jacks.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, maintain and organize inventory, ensure stock is in the correct location while keeping the warehouse clean and safe.
• Communicate with the Supervisor regarding low stock items, and document and report any damage or deficiencies immediately.
• Ensure the proper use of PPE and always adhere to safety protocols.
• Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment, perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use, and report any unsafe work conditions that may arise.
• Complete other warehouse duties as required

• Assist with unloading inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.

• Serve as load confirming to ensure no miss-ships.
• Performing picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service.
• Assist in physical Inventory.
• Efficiently move product from staging areas into rail cars or trailers.
• Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required.
  Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards to unload and load shipments safely.
• Assist with proper stock rotation.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security and cleanliness of warehouse.
• Maintain all required paperwork associated with the product and process.
• Must be forklift certified and maintain valid certification.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams.
• Report any and all Quality related issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain Quality Service by following the Organization Standards.
• Participate in Company Safety program.
• Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
• Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s.

What’s the job?

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Process Control Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the systems instrumentation with limited interruption to the plant’s production requirements. The Process Control Technician programs the central control systems and associated equipment and provides technical assistance to the Electricians and works closely with production in perfecting trends, reporting, control, alarms and displays. The Process Control Technician is also responsible for setting a high standard for safety, quality, housekeeping, productivity, and performance for all plant associates.

• Optimize and maintain plant PLC systems and plant control instruments
• Optimize and maintain the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and all connected instruments, working closely with Production, perfecting trends, reporting, control, alarms and displays
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for systems and process systems
• Provide technical support and knowledge to hourly Maintenance/Electrical Technicians in an effort to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Ensure conformance with Automation, IT and corporation guidelines
• Successfully implement assigned capital projects in a timely manner and within budget constraints
• Actively involved in production issues to establish groundwork for continuous improvement
• Promote new upgrades and features to improve and assist plant performance

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, OT as needed

Compensation: $30.50 - 34.80 per hour

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Molding Operator will set-up, operate and maintain direct form molding presses and tools. Adhere to work order while maintaining high safety standards. Complete required measurements and documentation, and assure parts meet all customer quality specifications. Strive for continual improvement of workspace 5S.

Responsibilities are:

Work in a manner that complies with all site policies and procedures, actively demonstrate SG principles of conduct & action, and adhere to all EHS requirements

Read work orders to understand and meet customer specifications

Set up molds and maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance

requirements and following manufacturer’s instructions

Maintain drawing specifications by monitoring dimensional and visual characteristics to detect non-conformances

Keep a clean work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures

Contribute ideas and suggestions on improvement opportunities

Follow instructions and procedures carefully

Record data, record and report problems as they arise

Report defective material or equipment problems to lead or engineer, as directed

Successfully perform all duties above for minimum of 18 months

Perform complex troubleshooting with little or no supervision

Contribute to the team by performing other duties as needed

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

High School Diploma or equivalent

Have at least 6 months experience in manufacturing environment

Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken

Must perform intermediate math operations, including use of decimals, fractions and S.I. units

Must have basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate PLC operator interfaces (touchscreen)

Must perform measurements using Vernier calipers and digital scales

PLC Troubleshooting preferred

Knowledge of proper safety procedures

Effective verbal/written communications skills and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a self-directed team setting and ability to solve problems

Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $46,800. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

THE ROLE

Shift: 12 hour shift / Rotate every two weeks

Starting Rate of Pay: $27/hour

Responsibilities

• Direct manufacturing equipment support and maintenance.
• Complete productivity improvements as required.
• Service, maintain, repair, install and test equipment in accordance to current machine specifications.
• Provide high level mechanical/technical support to production equipment and collaborate with other technical teams.
• Communicate with suppliers and contractors on a technical level when required for the purpose of troubleshooting defective equipment.
• Perform PM inspections and programs as required.
• Follow Maintenance Manager and Supervisor direction and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds to production line machinery and or equipment.
• Fabricate as required for continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures, including quality and health and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• The ability to operate a lathe for the purpose of roll grinding and fabrication.
• The ability to operate a welder, plasma cutters and torches for the purpose of maintenance or fabrication.
• Be familiar with basic plumbing, electrical and hydraulic maintenance and repairs and be able to assist outside service and support personnel in their areas of expertise.

Requirements :

• Certificate or equivalent in appropriate trades
• Familiar with a multi meter, a variety of beam sensors, pneumatic powered pumps and rotary screw compressors
• Ability to measure with caliper and micrometer, interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Capacity to conform to company safety requirements as hearing, vision & foot gear are mandatory and focus in a noisy environment
• Ability to create a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Ability to make program changes to optimize machine functionality

PC computing skills for the purpose of software applications used in the development of fabrication and performance efficiency initiatives would be an asset

Responsible for operating finishing machines that involve more complex, computer controlled operations that require more elaborate setups than a Finisher I. Responsible to cut finished products with more complex geometry and shape requirements, small, tight tolerances or precision than an Finishing Operator I. Responsible for selecting machine tooling to be used, utilizing knowledge of machine and production requirements, adjusts production equipment/machinery set-up using hand or power tools. Responsible for moving machine controls to position and sets up work pieces and adjusts machines for pre-selected or self-determined operational settings. Observes machine operations to detect any problems; make necessary adjustments to correct problems. Responsible for loading and unloading material or work piece manually or with hoists into machinery. Must record product and processing data on specified forms and computers. Responsible for verifying quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or speed testing electronically.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Solid Mechanical ability and ability to apply basic shop math. • Must be able to read and understand Blueprints, verbal and written instructions and possess good communication skills. • Ability to work in a self-inspection environment and be able to meet demands of common LEAN / WCM practices such as data collection, meeting daily output goals, and 5S standards. • Must possess the ability to use all standard machine shop measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, bore micrometers, and gages. • Must follow safe work practice and be proactive in resolving or alerting supervision to safety issues. • Able to handle multiple and diverse tasks with minimum supervision; willingness to be flexible with job responsibilities and working hours. • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment is required. • Supports World Class Manufacturing activities including autonomous work teams. • Basic PC and SAP knowledge desired.

Mixer operates or tends machines and/or manually mixes or re-screens materials such as abrasive grains, ceramic materials, chemicals, resins and/or other compounds to prepare mix for use on the manufacturing floor. Essential Functions: • Receives clear work orders at start of shift from group leader, supervisor, or molder. Reads shop order to • determine production specifications and follows specific formulation • Receives/retrieves and measures various types of material in small to large quantities stored in various containers (i.e., 40-pound containers, 50-pound bags, bulk bags, totes, large drums, hoppers). • Conducts tests to ensure mix meets required specification utilizing various testing equipment (Viscometer, wax density tank, moisture meter, plaster molds, pH test, etc). • Adds or mixes materials for processing using hand tools or other devices. Places materials in the mix totes. • Utilizes various screening or re-screening equipment to screen materials per specifications. • Selects, examines and weighs materials to ensure conformance to formulation and quality standards to shop order requirements. • May work with accuracy feed systems, scales and various measuring equipment to obtain, weigh, measure and/or adjust materials and products to ensure conformance to work order. • May drive fork and or hand/stand trucks to transport supplies, materials and finished products between work areas. • Cleans machinery, workspace, and tools using vacuum, hose, hands and various hand tools. • May use hand tools to dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery and equipment • Other related duties assigned

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • A minimum of high school degree or general education degree (GED). Some computer skills preferred Requires up to 3 months’ work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.
