De plus, le partenaire d'affaires principal en RH assistera le directeur régional des ressources humaines et d'autres clients clés identifiés par la direction des RH de Saint-Gobain dans la mise en œuvre de programmes RH stratégiques. Responsabilités principales :

Soutien du partenaire des RH aux groupes de clients

Relations avec les employés

  • Répondre aux problèmes de relations avec les employés dans un environnement syndiqué et travailler efficacement avec toutes les parties impliquées pour les résoudre et les transmettre à la direction des RH, si nécessaire.
  • Veiller à ce que tous les conseils, prises de décision et solutions proposées soient conformes à toutes les législations du travail applicables ainsi qu'aux politiques, processus et procédures internes et garantir que le meilleur intérêt de l'entreprise et de ses employés a été pris en compte.
  • Préparer les communications des RH et maintenir à jour les tableaux/canaux et outils de communication des RH.
  • Participer aux initiatives au niveau du service et du site au siège social.
  • Encadrer les dirigeants sur la création d'un environnement dans lequel des relations positives avec les employés sont essentielles au succès d'un engagement et d'une rétention élevés des employés au service de la réalisation réussie des objectifs de l'entreprise.
  • Superviser les relations de travail à l'usine, le traitement des griefs et la préparation à l'arbitrage et participer aux négociations syndicales.
  • Mener des enquêtes internes sur des questions liées à l'emploi.
  • Interpréter et mettre en œuvre des pratiques d'emploi pertinentes (par exemple, législation sur l'emploi et les droits de la personne, conventions collectives, droit du travail, etc.)

Responsabilités

Intégration

  • Soutenir le responsable du recrutement et stimuler l'engagement et l'achèvement de la liste de vérification de l'intégration.
  • Rencontrer les nouvelles recrues dès le premier jour pour examiner la présentation de l'intégration des RH ainsi que les documents.
  • Compiler les métriques des RH (roulement du personnel, dénombrement des effectifs) en analysant, en créant des rapports et en identifiant les tendances émergentes.

Formation et engagement de l’équipe

  • Perpétuer une culture de haute performance grâce à un encadrement des dirigeants et une rétroaction efficace à ceux-ci.
  • Favoriser un environnement de travail sûr, respecter l'utilisation appropriée de l’EPI, comprendre les programmes SST applicables (signalement des incidents et participation aux réunions de sécurité des services fonctionnels).
  • Conseiller l'équipe de gestion du site sur l'utilisation efficace des plans de perfectionnement professionnel, des plans d'amélioration du rendement, de la discipline progressive et des décisions atténuant les risques.
  • Développer continuellement notre culture d'entreprise en dirigeant et en soutenant toutes les initiatives de bien-être et d'engagement des employés, ainsi que les événements sociaux des employés.
  • Aider de manière proactive à stimuler l'engagement des employés sur le site et à recommander des activités susceptibles d'améliorer l'engagement.
  • Se tenir au courant des tendances, des meilleures pratiques, des changements réglementaires et des nouvelles technologies en matière de ressources humaines, de gestion des talents et de droit du travail.
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe RH plus large sur l'acquisition de talents et Total Rewards.

Administration des avantages sociaux

  • Superviser l'administration des avantages sociaux et du régime de retraite des employés.
  • Fournir des conseils sur les décisions de rémunération pour les mutations latérales, les promotions, les changements hors cycle, le mérite et les ajustements au marché.
  • Rester au courant des tendances en matière de rémunération, d’avantages et d'avantages sociaux pour les employés et des tendances liées aux ressources humaines pour garantir la compétitivité par rapport à l'industrie.

Administration du programme du logiciel de gestion du personnel

  • Agir à titre de responsable administratif des systèmes pour Boost, People Group (Microstrategy), People Fluent, PEG, Sunlife et d’autres sites SG.
  • Agir à titre de personne-ressource principale pour les employés, les gestionnaires et l'équipe des RH pour les questions liées au cycle de gestion du rendement et aux exigences, y compris celle du système.
  • Coordonner, administrer, recommander des processus annuels de mérite et d'encouragement en coordination avec la direction du service et des RH. Superviser le programme de gestion du rendement et recommander des améliorations si nécessaire.
  • Émettre des communications et des formations locales pour le cycle annuel de gestion du rendement et les programmes de récompense totale.

Les exigences

  • Baccalauréat en administration des ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Minimum de cinq ans d'expérience dans un milieu syndiqué
  • Expérience minimale : cinq ans ou plus en ressources humaines, avec une expérience comme généraliste dans ces domaines clés : élaboration de politiques, gestion du rendement, exposition à la paie et relations avec les employés
  • Forte maîtrise des relations de travail, des logiciels de gestion du personnel et de la suite MS Office.
  • Bonne connaissance des lois et des législations en vigueur en matière de travail
  • Communication écrite et verbale efficace pouvant atteindre tous les niveaux de l'organisation
  • Capacité à faire preuve de professionnalisme et de diplomatie à tous les niveaux de l'organisation, même dans des situations stressantes ou sous haute pression

Ce poste est basé à Pointe-Claire, QC, ou à Alexandria, On. Il s'effectue dans un environnement de bureau, avec des déplacements fréquents si nécessaire dans les unités d’affaires et les usines de fabrication. Les visites d'usine nécessiteront une interaction sur le terrain avec les employés et les processus en place afin d’observer et d’évaluer les problèmes en matière de RH.

MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Manage the receiving, tracking, and distribution of all MRO goods and services. The MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk coordinates day-to-day MRO Storeroom transactions and helps to ensure the accuracy of the inventory data. This position works closely with production & maintenance management/supervision, production & maintenance technicians, and maintenance planning & scheduling. This position reports directly to the MRO Storeroom Supervisor.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION

  • Work is primarily done in a parts storeroom setting.
  • Frequent interaction with other employees and outside vendors, both to provide service and ensure MRO Storeroom policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all MRO parts are identified, numbered, received, issued, and inventoried in the CMMS system (SAP).
  • Ensure MRO parts inventory is organized on the parts shelves in a systematic manner.
  • Create and maintain parts information in SparesFinder inventory tracking system.
  • Maintain manual or computerized procurement records (items/services purchased, product quality, performance, etc.)
  • Help manage reconciliation of invoices and goods receipts.
  • Verify proof of delivery when discrepancies occur and work with vendors to correct receiving and date entry errors.
  • Create purchase requisitions as needed; communicate purchase order numbers to vendors when received and obtain estimated delivery dates.
  • Identify and manage issues regarding open/overdue purchase orders.
  • Review and process daily Stock Replenishment Orders; help to evaluate min/max levels to maximize inventory effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to MRO parts management metrics and KPI’s.
  • Help to maintain all of the MRO Storeroom management processes.
  • Maintain an orderly workspace and a clean and safe work environment.
  • Deliver packages to appropriate departs using an industrial motorized cart.
  • Manage outbound shipping of MRO parts & materials.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner (pass written & hands-on driving test).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Office setting is temperature controlled. Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas. PPE will be needed in designated areas.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in parts stocking, inventory management, shipping, logistics, or related fields is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing (industrial maintenance experience is a plus), and customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • Written and oral comprehension skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks with little to no direct supervision.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of computer systems and programs, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and SAP is a plus.

Maintenance Facility Electrician

The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day electrical facilities maintenance tasks and repairs of electrical power supply installation, demolition, and lighting. The ability to bend and install conduit, pull wire, install lighting, install cameras, and other electrical tasks related to facilities maintenance and power supply to production equipment but not directly on the production equipment. Carries out demolition work on obsolete electrical equipment. The incumbent should have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of electrical principles and adequate skills to understand various plant processes. Positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Work with others constructively and abide by company policies and procedures. Working together as a team for continuous improvement is vital to ensure the future of CertainTeed and its employees. Teamwork will be required to be effective in daily maintenance assignments as well as continuous improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with plant electrical facilities maintenance as directed by the electrical maintenance supervisors.

• Testing electrical systems and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to verify they are safe to be worked on.

• Be able to operate various manlifts.

• Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings (blueprints and schematics). • Will create work orders, report time and parts to work orders, and close out work orders with the electrical maintenance planner.

• Will participate in department required training, craft skill improvements and department safety topics.

• Follow all safety precautions while performing tasks at all times. These include lock/tag/try, getting all appropriate forms filled out, and securing areas with appropriate marked tape or boundaries.

• All areas are to be clean and clear of any debris before/after maintenance days and holidays.

• Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage.

• Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.

• Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.

• Participate in the development, understanding and review of all position JSA’s.

• Conduct required SMAT Audits in accordance with plant goals and objectives.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES): High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of five years’ electrical experience. Communication skills must be at a high level in order to clearly communicate issues/problems of the process. Interfacing with computerized process monitoring systems and other computer software and systems requires knowledge and skills in areas of computer operations. Must have a valid forklift and buggy license and complete associated training requirements for safe operations and maintenance of forklift. Must be familiar with the National Electrical Code, but not required to be licensed. This position is not in the progression path for electricians.

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly, so others understand, accept criticism, deal calmly and effectively, communicate with all levels of customers, whether internal or external, sensitivity to other’s needs, and maintain a positive demeanor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Shift Supervisor

What’s the Job?

The Production Supervisor directly supervises the hourly employees assigned to the production areas of the plant, ensuring the team works in a safe and efficient manner, while producing high quality products in accordance with the production schedule and quality metrics. The leader of this team will utilize people skills and various team-building methods to create a culture of accountability and pride in workmanship in their direct reports.

This role is directly responsible for promoting a safe and clean working environment and ensuring proper PPE and tools are available and utilized. You will support the employees with training and job knowledge; and ensure they are accountable for their contributions in their assigned work roles. This position will be measured against specific KPIs, such as safety and quality performance, production line uptime and prime pounds produced, and labor spending.

  • Directly supervise a union hourly workforce of employees in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (contract), communicate performance expectations, hold employees accountable to those expectations, and coach and develop employee capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, productivity, labor and spending performance, through development of teams, tracking performance, data interpretation and other problem solving tools.
  • Fill in required job information in IN4.0RM. Complete daily production and material usage reports. Update and maintain time and attendance and payroll data and administer coaching, training, group expectations or discipline as needed.
  • Ensures employees have received appropriate safety training and conform to all safety policies, rules and regulations, challenging behavior as it relates to working unsafely.
  • Ensures all quality specifications are met and maintained.

 

Rotating Shift Schedule with Shift Supervisors arriving 30 minutes early and remaining 30 minutes after shift for a smooth hand-off to the next shift.

The EH&S Manager reports to the CertainTeed Gypsum Silver Grove, KY Senior Plant Manager.  They will provide leadership and guidance for all employees to continuously improve plant safety, health and environmental metrics to world class levels by engaging and interacting with all employees at the Silver Grove, KY Gypsum Plant. 

  • Implement all Saint Gobain EH&S initiatives as well as the sites environmental and safety management system.

  • Responsible for contractor’s training and associated permits and audits.

  • Responsible for the continued development and implementation of the organization’s safety program within the US business.
  • Directs training programs for support function teams and upkeeps media programs to increase proficiencies of company personnel in occupational safety matters.  These programs will include WHMIS, HAZCOM, safe job procedures, hazard identification, accident investigation and management responsibilities.
  • Consults with employees and contractors on aspects of the design and use of equipment and facilities as they relate to all safety functions, within the assigned functional area.

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes, tooling, and engineering documentation for new products, ensuring they meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend, initiate, and deliver projects aimed at improving production efficiency, equipment, and processes to achieve performance, quality, delivery, and financial goals.
  • Capital Expenditures: Prepare internal documentation and coordinate the implementation of capital expenditures.
  • World Class Manufacturing Projects: Lead projects from conception to implementation, including cost savings analysis, feasibility studies (DOE, data analysis), and project execution.

  • Applies engineering principles and concepts from multiple disciplines to improve production; to develop and implement new processes; and to solve problems related to product and process quality, performance, and cost.  Must have manufacturing experience with various raw film materials (PET, TPU, HDPE, HIPS, etc), mixing, solvent coating/drying.
  • Performs statistical analysis of process variables and rejection rates, interprets data and leads resulting process and product improvement projects. Creates, implements, and oversees vital quality and process control procedures.
  • Participates in cost control programs and the standardization of processes and procedures. Frequently interacts with production personnel to evaluate and solve production problems and to advise on process capability and customer demands.
  • Works closely with Marketing, R&D and production management in developing and testing new products and processes before they are introduced into production. Coordinates the integration of prototype items and new materials into the manufacturing process.

Ensures adherence to the quality guidelines set forth in ISO9001.  Applies lean manufacturing concepts (SPC, 5S, Kaizen, 6sigma) toward improved material formulations, mix quality, product quality, process flow and equipment performance

Requirements:

  • This position requires the skills associated with a Master of Science Degree in Polymer Processing, Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline with 5-7 years of experience, or the skills associated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical, statistical and root cause analysis skills a must
  • Experience with solvent mixing, coating, lamination, and converting processes and equipment is required.
  • Past experience with SPC and familiarity with 5S, Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with customers are necessary.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and any ERP and MES software is essential.

The person in this position is responsible for the success of employee relations, recruitment and staffing at all levels, workforce planning, benefit administration, hourly and non-exempt pay systems, Human Resource Information Systems, communications, training and development, discipline, diversity programs and community relations with the assistance from the HR Team.
