Our Albion, NY plant at Saint-Gobain/Adfors is looking for a Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing/Industrial  to join our team!

Swing Shift 3rd Shift - 5:00pm-5:00am

$27/hr plus Shift differential Nights: M-Th - $.55/hr, Fri-Sun Days/Nights - $1.20/hr

This position works closely with Maintenance Mechanics to safely analyse and repair mechanical machinery malfunctions. The incumbent will also assist in the safe installation, maintenance and repair of general production and facility equipment. The position responsibilities include assisting with assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, including repair to hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping equipment.

He/she will assist Maintenance with installing pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
Assignments will include dry can changes, general building and machine repairs as required. Required to complete a daily maintenance work log and issue purchase order requests for repair parts.

Conduct self in a manner that demonstrates cooperation, leadership and willingness to assist fellow workers with issues as they arise and provide assistance and training as may be necessary from time to time.
Incumbent is responsible for performing assigned duties until properly relieved.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years-experience as a Fixer or Setup Tech REQUIRED
  • Technical Certificate in Maintenance field highly preferred
  • 2+ years of solid above average work-related experience in machine maintenance for a manufacturing environment. 

This position is concerned with a variety of areas in our Manufacturing facility. Must be able to work unsupervised, efficiently, and safely. Ability to learn, and perform all duties required of the position. Demonstrated ability of cooperation, leadership, and willingness to assist fellow employees in a team-based work environment.    
It is a night shift position. 
 

The incumbent works closely with the Supervisor and production team members. Analytical and problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills are a necessity.  Computer experience with the use of Microsoft Office, basic math, and weight conversions required. 
 
Must be detail oriented to accurately record material and inventory related data. Practical experience with measuring tools, and hand tools including but not limited to: hammer, pry bar, utility knife, scissors, etc. is required. 
 
Define the problems of any machine and material issues and to respond in an efficient and timely manner to production needs and requirements.

Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $25.50 per hour plus shift differential : Nights: M-Th - $.55/hr,Fri-Sun Days/Nights - $1.20/hr.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
