The Production Supervisor I facilitates the development of high-performance teams within the plant and is responsible for the complete management of a product Process area, including planning, manufacturing, and continuous improvement. The incumbent is responsible for creating a culture of engagement within and between the teams to directly impact and consistently meet plant objectives and deliverables. This position is also accountable for working collaboratively in the decision-making processes and ensuring that the decisions are in alignment with plant goals and objectives, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI), OSHA requirement and current Human Resources (HR) guidelines.

Operating & Leadership Results
• Coordinate and oversee all activity in one or more manufacturing departments to deliver results in safety, profitability, quality, service, efficiency, and cost reductions while maintaining a positive work climate.
• Initiate, participate, and lead, where appropriate, programs and projects geared toward meeting current and future customer
 demands.
• Constant focus to improve customer satisfaction, by ensuring quality and on-time shipments, through a culture of excellence and accountability.

 

• Coach and mentor by influencing behaviors to execute and meet assigned responsibilities that directly improve individual, team, and plant performance.
• Implement key succession plans and employee development activities to create a strong team bench, including support of cross-training opportunities. 
• Drive employee involvement that is shop floor focused to create an autonomous team environment.
• Drive operational excellence using lean six-sigma principles. 
• Promote technical and innovative leadership in product and processes using the known best practices and training of employees.
Manufacturing Results
• Sustain appropriate shop floor-based manufacturing systems, controls, and visually managed metrics to track results, quality, and service.
• Continuously assess the operational area of responsibility and collaborate with the leadership team.
• Manage the production employees to meet efficiency expectations, and understand the impact of labor variance to inform decisions. 
Safety
• Ensure that operations are in compliance with all government regulations related to product safety, employee safety, and environmental standards including OSHA and EPA.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $81,500-$126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
