What’s the job?
- Directly supervises the hourly production employees on the safe and efficient operation of the production line(s).
- Exercises good judgment in the utilization of manpower, work in progress and operational adjustments.
- Communicates expectations, measure and assess employee performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and administer disciplinary action if needed.
- Directly monitors the production processes and production quality to ensure compliance to established company standards.
- Oversees the training of production employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Leads the shift safety meetings and training sessions that have been developed by the training coordinator.
- Perform root-cause analysis as well as implements sustainable countermeasures on losses related to production.
- Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure compliance to the production schedule and production changes.
- Enters production, efficiency and waste data into SAP.
- Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
- Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas.
- Reviews and approves employee time keeping (UKG: Kronos)
- May be required to perform other duties as requested.
Work Schedule: This position is on the night shift from 7PM to 7AM and works a rotating schedule.

Qualifications
- 4-year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).
- 3+ years of supervisory experience (manufacturing preferred) with one to two years of experience in roofing manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma is a plus.
- General understanding of ISO methodology (ISO 9001, 14001, & OHSAS 18001).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with UKG and SAP a plus).
- Able to work the night shift from 7PM to 7AM on a rotating schedule.
