We have an immediate need for a 3rd Shift Supervisor for our Extrusion Department.

Under the general supervision of the Production Manager, the Extrusion Shift Supervisor:

  • Takes responsibility for all aspects of safety, production and quality for the shift assigned within the extrusion department.
  • Oversees one production shift in accordance with QMS & EHS requirements with a strong focus on safety, supports other production shifts as needed.
  • Supports Production Manager in engaging, leading, setting expectations & assessing performance of direct labor.
  • Understands and executes role as leader in production. Complete other related projects assigned.

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise, direct, lead and coordinate the day to day shift operations of production activities
  • Coach and develop production shift personnel, data review/prep for safety, quality, productivity; work with engineering and maintenance on new products, new processes, process enhancements, and repairs
  • Actively participate in World Class Manufacturing programs to identify loss opportunities and lead projects in driving cost savings.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • BS degree in Engineering or Business. Successful and applicable work experience is acceptable in place of formal degrees.
  • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 3 - years of experience with Six Sigma and/or WCM methodologies preferred.
  • Must have solid organizational skills and decision-making skills, and a demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans and solutions to identified issues and problems.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $72,500 to $111,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
 
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $79,025 to $121,535. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
