Ready to drive operational excellence? Lead process engineering for our CertainTeed Siding Hagerstown, MD site! We are seeking a hands-on leader to design cutting-edge tooling, minimize process variation and build statistically capable manufacturing systems. You will empower our team, champion safety and optimize CertainTeed's production goals.
- Manage the Process Engineering Department. Includes, supervising department personnel ( Tool Designers, Tool Commissioner and Process Technicians), processing jobs, scheduling resources and budget development and adherence
- Provide direct Process Engineering support to the Siding and Blending departments by developing, defining and documenting new and existing processes using the ISO 9001 format.
- Investigate new processes, technologies and equipment to ensure that CertainTeed is utilizing the most effective tools available to meet and exceed their manufacturing goals.
- Use proven SPC/SQC tools to determine and minimize process variation, while improving productivity.
- Participate in VBPG Interplant Teams, such as, Die and Sizer Team, Downstream Team and the Manufacturing Materials Team. These teams are responsible for providing process standardization throughout the group.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong experience in the Extrusion Industry especially in Tooling development, Statistical Process Analysis and Management skills
- Experience managing, growing and developing direct reports
- Strong project management skills

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,00 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,226 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
