WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Responsible for ensuring quality and packaging of CertainTeed Corner products safely and efficiently, while maintaining high productivity and a low scrap rate. Maintain a positive team environment and a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement. Qualified to operate all product sets as defined below and to act as relief for all product types. Performs Autonomous Maintenance (Clean, Inspect, and Lubrication) on equipment as directed. Enters Production Data. Subject Matter Expert on all processes and equipment, and serves as the primary trainer for the team. Qualified FLT operator and serves as the backup to the Material Handlers when required.
· Working Safe. Follows procedures, checklists, and safety protocols.
· Required to carry radio while on shift at all times (including breaks).
· Member of Emergency Response Team
· Qualified to Operate and Tail-Off on a production line producing any product.
· Qualified to relieve Operator and Tail-Off on a production line producing any product.
· Performs Autonomous Maintenance (Clean, Inspection, and Lubrication) on production equipment to procedure.
· Performs data entry into HELIX.
· Subject Matter Expert on production process, Trainer for shift personnel.
· Forklift Truck certified. Qualified to relieve Material Handler position when required.
· Responsible for the efficient organization of raw materials and the organization and rotation of finished goods.
· Unload and receive raw materials and UPS shipments.
· Inspect product for flaws and defects, immediately alert team of any problems or defects immediately and package each product correctly.
· Keep lines and production floor clean and free of debris and stocked for incoming shift.
· Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. work orders), read and understand specifications for all products.
· Keep supervisors, Leads, operators, and other teammates informed of all problems or relative production concerns.
· Build boxes, clean and maintain printers, keep track of tools and equipment and ensure all needed supplies are available.
· Work closely with team members to be more efficient, troubleshooting problems and helping find new or better solutions.
· Participate in and promote continuous improvement ideas.
· Set-up and have ability to start-up a production line from idle to a run state.
· Establishes and maintains the highest degree of housekeeping and 5S (Sorting, Straightening, Shining, Standardizing, Sustaining) in all areas.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED (higher education (degree or actively enrolled in school) is highly preferred for this role).
3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Moderate proficiency with ERP and/or SAP.
OSHA approved forklift certification.
