The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees all supply chain functions for the Poestenkill site, including capacity planning, materials planning, production scheduling, and inventory management to ensure customer commitments are met. Key metrics include lead times, inventory turns, and overall inventory value. This role identifies material constraints and partners with site teams to develop solutions. Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and maintaining close coordination with operations are critical to achieving on-time delivery and schedule adherence. Material schedules are managed to balance production needs based on forecasts, sales orders, inventory levels, and costs.
This role supports procurement of all MRP-driven materials required for manufacturing, testing, packaging, and shipping in alignment with the Master Production Schedule and site demand. Collaboration with the PPS purchasing team is required to optimize supplier performance in cost, quality, and delivery while minimizing lead times. Adherence to SGPPL Global Purchasing guidelines, Saint-Gobain purchasing processes, and Corporate Social Responsibility standards is required to meet ICRF audit expectations.
Responsibilities also include development and execution of the master production schedule and management of raw material inventory, delivery schedules, and overall material planning. The role works closely with plant leadership to optimize the use of materials, equipment, and personnel. It supports continuous improvement of manufacturing processes while ensuring production targets are met in a safe work environment. Coordination of multiple activities is essential to deliver high-performance products that meet customer expectations for quality, delivery, and cost. This position includes direct supervisory responsibility.
The role also involves identifying constraints, managing work and purchase orders, and optimizing the use of plant resources and inventory. Regular communication with leadership regarding production impacts is expected, along with updating schedules, adjusting purchase order deliveries, and recommending lead time improvements. Success is measured through improvements in on-time delivery, reduced cycle times, cost avoidance, and effective management of working capital.
Strict adherence to corporate and local policies, procedures, and regulations is required. A strong customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement are essential to achieving positive business outcomes.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve master production schedules for assigned areas
- Plan, release, and manage raw materials to meet production, customer, and inventory requirements
- Execute MRP/MRO purchasing activities, including POs, supplier delivery management, and issue resolution
- Coordinate schedules, expedite materials, and adjust plans based on demand or supply changes
- Generate and manage work orders; update plans to reflect priorities and schedule shifts
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, sub-assemblies, and finished goods
- Partner with Customer Service and Operations to align on demand, capacity, and shipping commitments
- Monitor production adherence through metrics and performance tracking
- Lead capacity planning and identify risks impacting delivery or financial results
- Support forecasting processes and lead site forecast reviews and demand analysis
- Lead monthly SIOP processes to align demand, supply, and business goals
- Manage material quality issues with Quality and suppliers
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead supply chain and site-level projects to improve efficiency and streamline processes
- Act as ERP subject matter expert, including item setup, MRP parameters, and data integrity
- Supervise material handling, shipping, and receiving operations
- Lead physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with ICRF, ISO, purchasing policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Category Management on supplier performance, forecasts, and escalations
- Support audits and maintain required documentation
- Drive improvements in on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and overall supply chain performance
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) obtained within the past 5 years (preferred)
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment (required)
- 3+ years of manufacturing scheduling experience (required)
- 1+ year of ERP/MRP and inventory management experience (QAD preferred) (required)
- 3+ years of experience managing, coaching, and developing team members (preferred)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $8,100 to $12,650. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
