What’s the job?
The Field Application & Training Manager is responsible for enabling sales of all Ceiling and Wall product brands sold by CertainTeed Ceilings in North America including lay-in panels, suspension systems and specialty ceiling and wall products. This person will interact with field sales personnel, contractors, mechanics, distributors, general contractors, architects and specifiers to increase sales, improve installation techniques, increase brand awareness, educate and provide problem solving. Critical activities include contractor meetings to demonstrate use and installation of products, job site visits to provide hands on assistance, training of CertainTeed and distributor personnel, and interaction with marketing and operations personnel to enhance future products.

What do you bring?
- Trade Certification and/or College Degree Preferred
- Minimum requirement is a high school diploma/GED
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours, if needed
- Hands-on construction expertise
- Technical expertise
- Ability to converse with all key personnel in contractor firms and distributors
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans
- Ability to influence design professionals and general contractors
- Strong communication skills including presentation skills
- Self-motivated
- Independent thinker and problem solver
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Basic estimating skills (preferred)
